Persona 2 was thr only good persona game sadly I don't know how anyone can sit through that weeb trash and boring 5 hours of dialogue before actual gameplay they call persona 3 and 4 and probably 5

At least Chrono Trigger is good and aged extremely well. Sure, it's overrated babby's first JRPG material, but it's still good.

Chrono Trigger is like 20 hours long. Maybe shorter. It's significantly shorter than most JRPGs.

It's a duology, so in a sense its only one game. I've only played innocent sin on the psp never got around to touching eternal punishment every time I pop it in my ps1 I get bored of it and go back to playing innocent sin.

Literally fuck Persona 4. It's a thoroughly mediocre JRPG that gets praised to hell and back because of muh waifu simulator. The characters themselves are insultingly bad and written purely to suck the cock of the player's self-insert and enable them to escape their most likely lacklustre """life""" rather than to tell a compelling story.

It was ok but a major step down from 1 in many areas.
1 was a diamond in the rough and if the sequel would have retained everything it had going for it and built atop of it instead of changing things for the CoD audience, it would have been GOAT.
Not to mention the main plot starting to lose all mystery and charm.

It was obvious 3 was going to be a hot turd after this.

I still like 2, but I admit it's not great and definitely not a great sequel.

I like to think of them as one game but whatevs, it doesn't really matter about labeling, still find EP inferior to IS

I remember loving this game back at release but I recently did a 100% + all dlc playthrough and fuck it was bad. Just a bad 3rd person shooter with a facade of it being a RPG with money, abilities, exploring and that's it. + the writing is really bad in retrospect as I used to like the story but now I see its contrived garbage

I liked the stealth aspect of it and the limited resources you had to work with.

The story/dialogue wasn't handled like the same tired shit I've seen in the genre before, in my opinion.

It could have just as easily been about the last group of military survivors or something in that vein but it tried to be a little original and tug at the heartstrings a bit.

Definitely overrated though.

I played Deus Ex (the original) and Thief lately, and considering how much praise those games got, they have some pretty basic stealth. Especially Deus Ex.

I'm not saying that MGS5 is the best stealth game ever made, far from it, but it's definitely not bad.

I thought it was a nice change at first but by endgame I was playing it mute. JRPG music needs to be tolerably repetitive.

Persona 4 is brought down only by Naoto. I absolute dislike her character and she completely ruins the story by trivializing all the struggles and investigation the other characters have done.

Her existence just pulls the story from 9/10 because of Adachi to 5/10 when she joins. The girl who throughout all her life could not open up to people because she pretends to be a boy and is a "detective" has the nerve to tell Adachi humans cannot live alone without social contact. This is something she only actually learns in the 2 months she becomes a party member, but she spouts it at Adachi while calling him a brat as if she's never acted like that her whole life.

The irony appears when in the Adachi boss fight she slams him repeatedly with her bullshit, only for Yukiko to understand Adachi's point of view, after the battle against Adachi is done and Ameno Sagiri speaks, as Ameno Sagiri basically paraphrases everything Adachi has said, and when he does Naoto has nothing to say about it.

Naoto also has murderer instincts. When in the hospital, she's the only one who even brings up throwing Namatame into the TV to kill him, thus manipulating the idiot Yosuke into another angst filled drama monologue. This also makes the MC to shut everyone up.

Point is that Naoto acts as a moral compass, as if she's a better person than Adachi when she's almost like him except she's not yet lived as long as Adachi to become a sour individual.

When the player hears about Naoto from the Inaba polic, the cops say that nobody takes that child seriously. Its just a matter of time before Naoto snaps like Adachi. But wait, the difference is that she's from a well off Private Investigator family line. She lives off of ego, and yet shamelessly tries to insult Adachi for being like her whilst not having the same level of privilege.

Naoto is shit. She should have become a background character instead of the devs turning Kanji, Chie, Yukiko and Teddie background characters when she finally joins.

I appreciate all the options you get in Deus Ex, but the enemies are so braindead and shooting weapons is so unsatisfying (The Dragon Tooth is GOAT tho) that neither of the options are that fun. To me at least, I mean hey, that's just my dumbass opinion

It happened to almost every 360 exclusive JRPG. There was a loophole in the contract Microsoft made with a lot of developers that let them release an enhanced version of the game on the PS3.
No one ever bothered localising them because the original game was already on the 360 in the west
