ITT: Bosses Sup Forums claimed to be difficult, but in reality were easy as fuck
>It's another "Sup Forums is one person" thread.
Over leveled skill building YouTube find all the secrets fuck.
HAHA look at his face! :D
You can find people claiming every souls boss is the hardest/easiest. It's meaningless. Just stop.
>it's another "no such thing as general opinion" thread
...
It's easy but it's not really a fun fight, Bloodborne is my favorite game and I think Rom is the worst part of the game
Bloodbourne bosses look so fucking bad, jesus christ
I'm playing BB for the first time currently, and Rom and Ludwig are the two bosses that have taken me the most tries.
For Rom, my vit was low enough that many of her attacks would OHKO me, the jump attack of the little spiders included. That being said, Rom only took me 4 or 5 tries in the end, and was incredibly easy once I got used to dodging the mobs+magic combination.
So far, Bloodborne isn't quite as hard as I thought it would be. DaS3 definitely gave me more trouble. I still have yet to fight the Orphan of Kos though, so that may be subject to change.
FUCKING THIS.
Rom is cute. Cute!
Rom is just a test of patience and how much vitality you have. At high NG levels, fucking up on her fight is fatal due to all the kamakaze spiders and vomit stunlock
...
rom is hard depending on your build, hes not gonna be hard for everyone
i killed him first try my first time fighting him with my skill build
i got raped 4 times on my strength build
Once I understood I had to kill the adds and to bail when it curls up, I was good
>parry 2 times
REALLLLLLLY HARD
bloodborne has the best bosses consistently, 3 of its dlc bosses and 2 of its main game bosses are very very commonly argued as the best bosses in the series, considered on par with or better than the likes of artorias
mechanically they are factually the most impressive and it takes some serious shit taste to deny bloodborne having the best ost
to top it off there are more bosses
there are 2 bad ones in the entire game
PCuck
This guy has like, three attacks that aren't even difficult to avoid. Even when the entire bridge is spikes, you can dodge everything with well-timed jumps while you wait.
the previous experience of DaS3 probably helps
objectively speaking DaS3 is easier
Just killed this guy, what did I do?
I talked to that one person in the lake and now there's a red moon and something about finding a newborn?
Wtf is going on
rom is almost as bad as the crystal sage
and very similar, but at least it has lore
crystal sage and rom sit there while you hit them as they teleport somewhere else and if you're not careful can occasionally 1 shot you
the run back to rom isnt as abysmal though
lovecraft bullshit
probably the best part of the game though, exploring nightmares is fun as shit
Did you play on Nightmare or Inferno?
Okay I'll admit the only reason I can say this fight was easy the first time was a fluke (Seriously this guy is almost impossible if you have no ideal what is coming up). I love monks and had an all monk party at this point. Combine that with the fact your buffs carry over to the second part (Which I didn't know) and I spammed yell part one made this the easiest fight in the game.
they nerfed the homing missiles hard
People still claim Xord is the hardest boss but I had no issue at all
move on to yahar'gul unseen village
the gate behind the lesser amygdala that takes you to the nightmare frontier is open now
you'll want to fully explore that zone and find a key to get to the upper oedon chapel which has some great boss fights, the door is where you found the radiant sword hunters badge above oedon chapel
also make sure to check out cainhurst castle if you haven't
xord?
what?
>tfw Sup Forums said the soulsborne series has hard bosses
>are actually a joke
Why is this allowed?
Nightmare. The difficulty comes from the huge damage he deals, which is why you're expected to dodge his relatively simple attacks. And the wind magic makes avoiding those attacks a breeze.
Has there actually been a difficult boss in any of these games? Outside Flamelurker as melee (no magic weapons either shitters), what hard bosses are there in these games?
People say ludwig, but all his attacks in phase 2 are very telegraphic, doesn't help his starting animations are so slow.
People say kos, but he's literally wait for the jump and charged R2, just like Defiled Amygdala.
I didn't play DaS2, but I heard people say Lud and Zallen are hard, maybe I should give them a go.
not necessarily hard bosses
but very good fair bosses
artificial difficulty crap is rare in bloodsouls
This boss right here
Thought he was just another forgettable mini-boss at the time.
if you cheese something it is easy
yes
Those things look like the things that crawl all over your pillow every night while you are asleep.
Are you one of those players that classify: Rolling, Attacking, Estus, Items as cheesing?
looks like khamsin in MGR
Maneaters and Flamelurker
i classify only punishing one of the bosses attacks repeatedly and parrying bosses like gwyn cheesing
In the mines? Only reason I can see for him being hard is if you dont kill the trash fast enough or the RNG jesus makes him use AoE attacks multiple times in a row.
>what is dark souls 2
So the only way not to cheese, is to mindlessly mash r1 until you or the boss dies? According to you of course.
abusing defiled amygdalas bad ai is cheesing
waiting for 1 attack that is punishable while running away is cheesing
lets not talk about dark souls 2 unless its about its good pvp
>i classify only punishing one of the bosses attacks repeatedly
Boss in every game are literally designed for this, what the fuck?
>there are 2 bad ones in the entire game
witches, celestial, failures, undead giant, mergo, moon prescene, rom, micolash, one reborn, beast possessed soul.
thats more than 2 lad.
flamelurker isnt that tough melee, why does everyone say this? if you've fought abhorrent beast in bb its just a slower version of that fight. i thought he was tough since i played des first, but going back recently flamelurker is pathetic in comparison.
lud & zallen arent that hard, they become difficult in higher ng cycles, but base is usually no problem with a decent weapon + fire resin. the run to them is worse than the boss itself.
if you dodge the bosses attacks and punish him with r1s l2s and r2s depending on the window he gives you cheesing, if you just run away and punish one easy attack there is no difficulty at all
i like to dodge and punish a bosses attacks whenever i am given the chance
otherwise the fight just ends up taking like 15 minutes and isn't fun
Ah, so if a player plays differently than you it's cheesing. Understood.
People need to hop off of Artorias' dick. He was a great boss but he's been left pretty far behind by most of the BB and DS3 bosses, hell, he wasn't even the best boss in the DLC.
>I heard people say Lud and Zallen are hard, maybe I should give them a go.
i beat them on the first try so i dont know about that
If you aren't fucking braindead and can roll, he's easy
Well designed and GOOD boss fight list v1.0
False King Allant.
Old Hero
O&S
Artorias
Manus
Kalameet
Ivory King
Blue Smelter
Ancient Dragon
Watcher and Defender
Gascoigne
Logarius
Ludwig
Dancer
Twin Princes
Nameless King
>People need to hop off of Artorias' dick. He was a great boss but he's been left pretty far behind by most of the BB and DS3 bosses, hell, he wasn't even the best boss in the DLC.
ds2 sucked faggot
I bet you were overleveled as shit
If you beat Blue Smelter in DaS2, you can beat Nameless King.
I was around 70, and finished the game at 80
I died once though, but that was to his bird
>failures are bad
nice meme
>celestial emissary is bad
not really, its the best example of this sort of fight in any souls game
its sup par for bloodborne sure, but its not bad
>mergo
mergo is actually a really good fight if you do it around level 45-50
a lot of people overlevel it because frankly its scaled too low, at its core its a good fight
>moon presence
is a fine fight, if we're saying its bad just because its not that hard
then literally all of almost every game ever is bad
its not all about "SO HARD MEME"
>rom is bad
rom is a decent fight, its sub par for bloodborne like the emissary, but its a great lore fight and a fun experience in the end
>micolash
micolash is a great and fun experience that really spices up the game
its fresh and it shows fromsoftware trying something new, micolash is memorable as all hell too, really underrated by memers such as yourself
>one reborn
is like a worse curse rotted greatwood, its not terrible to the point that its just forgettable
but im sure some people could see it as just a bad fight
>undead giant
>beast possessed soul
so we're counting chalice ""Bosses""" now?
because if we are bloodborne has 3x as many bosses as any other souls game and 100x more content and is better because of it
thats not true
you're the only guy counting chalice bosses
bloodborne has a full set of bosses outnumbering most other games excluding the chalice ""bosses'"
you're a fucking retarded memer who thinks the whole point of the game is difficulty
its not
the games difficulty compliments the gameplay
kill yourself
...
I wouldn't call it cheesing (unless you're literally only parrying on a boss like Gwyn), but I'd certainly call it playing like a pansy-ass little bitch. Why even play the game if you don't slaughter the bosses in glorious close quarters combat.
@344687249
I've never seen someone ever in my life, unironically defend Living Failures or Celestial Emissary.
Good lord, I just read you ACTUALLY DEFEND MERGO'S WET NURSE
I refuse to believe this isn't a bait post, not even worth a (You)
Mindlessly mashing R1 on the boss only works if you're overleveled and have the Vit to take the hits.
DS2 did suck, faggot. Notice how I didn't even mention it in my post?
Blue Smelter doesn't even compare to bosses like defiled watchdog, defiled amygdala, abhorrent beast, ebiretas
Fume Knight and Alonne desu
>@
reddit pls leave
Rom isn't hard, he just has way too many goddamned adds
If the flying fuck spiders weren't there, it'd be a cakewalk
>Living Failures or Celestial Emissary.
they're not that bad compared to many other bosses in the series
>you ACTUALLY DEFEND MERGO'S WET NURSE
wet nurse would be amazing if she wasnt so easy
>Ichigo chosen undead fighting Capra hollow
ds3 was just awful
artorias alone beats ds3 as a whole really
however i find ludwig maria and kos to be better
the way i mentioned playing multiple playstyles could fit in
are you merely pretending?
terrible fight
so overrated
so fucking easy
beat him at level 40 early on in one playthrough to get some souls early on
if you beat ludex gundyr in under 10 tries
you can beat nameless kek on your first
>take the hits
>only using r1
that's where you're retarded, bad. a pussy, and wrong all at once
why i said fight her earlier on
shes just under-tuned
>Shittiest bosses in all of the DS2 DLC
You literally just said avoiding attacks is being a pansy, retard.
>ebrietas
I'll give you amygdala and watchdog, but fucking ebrietas and abhorrent beast?
Did you play that DLC?
Whos ichigo? He from one of those cartoons you like, user?
>however i find ludwig maria and kos to be better
Tell me a fight in DaS3 where you can keep the boss locked forever like you can Maria and Kos.
>Maria
R1, R1 Stagger, L1, Visceral repeat until dead.
>Kos
Phase 1
Wait for jump, R2, visceral Wait for overhead, l2, visceral. Wait for swingx3, R2, Visceral.
Phase 2
Wait for 4x ground pound, R2, Visceral, Sprint to Kos, charge R2, Visceral, Sprint to Kos, Charge R2, Visceral
Not even Vordt you can chain lock down.
>alonne
>shitty
>i haven't played DS2 the post
DS3 needs its alonne in the dlc to make it worth purchasing
i said running out of range instead of dodging multiple attacks in close range then punishing like a real man is being a pansy
holy fuck you are so retarded i refuse to believe you are not merely pretending at this point
just take your (you) and go
>s3 was just awful
>artorias alone beats ds3 as a whole really
did you even play the fucking game? Artorias is my favorite boss of all time but come the fuck on.
I mean headless bloodletting beast, sorry, I haven't played BB since jan. But I keep ebrietas
tfw I died the most in my playthrough too Micolash
I get the feeling that the people who had excessive trouble with this fight either had ridiculously slow weapons or were continually triggering the First Phase's Ancient Dragon Breath attack.
I killed Rom in my first try.
But to be fair i killed evry possible boss you can kill before you fight him Disregarding the DLC.
Which i only ran thru to get the weapons and actually beat before i fought the Moon presence.
And i used the Wirlgig Blade.
>headless bloodletting beast
you literally use the same strategy as darkbeast...
People rightfully complained about Rom because her meteor attack had ridiculous tracking that couldn't be consistently evaded. That was eventually patched out and now she's not that bad.
no one has ever claimed that gaping dragon is difficult
>jump down
>call of the beyond as you're falling down
>die
Excellent boss design, 10/10
forgetting the different between difficulty and boss quality? nice meme
you literally just described how to intentionally cheese each boss instead of playing the game as intended
KAPRA DEMON IS THE WORST BOSS IN THE SERIES
>look above boss gate
>throw firebombs
WOOOOW, SHIT FIGHT
The normal version of Rom was reasonable, but the chalcie version gave me a lot of trouble for some reason.
Ebreitas wasn't any harder than other "hit it's legs or tendrils of whatever the fuck it is" huge creatures like one reborn, vicar amelia
Either Ludwig or Laurence takes that crown, I've never heard anyone having trouble with Ebreitas before
>And I used the boss melter
fixed that for you
That's probably where 90% of the deaths against him occur. It's really hard to avoid unless you've practiced evading that attack a lot.
>wait a second, i'll use plunging attack!
>he runs to the side
>a call beyond
fill up his hole with your burial blade senpai
>whenever i run under him he 1 shots me from above
>i will not learn from this and continue to do it
these are the people that die to nameless king
>throwing firebombs over foggate to avoid fight is equivalent to fighting a boss legit
Literal retard.
i have literally never seen him do this and i have killed him over 20 times
i dont get it
not really, he has different attack patterns and his hitboxes were 100% fucked, he hit me with that attack when he slams with his fists miles away
Never had problems with Ludwig though, beat him on 2nd try, Laurence the same, used that OP saw from DLC. I always get raped by ebrietas tho
Alonne was objectively bad though. All of his attacks had the same super easy timing and he didn't do anything interesting. The run to him is harder than the boss. He was so simple they must have just not given a shit.
>he hit me with that attack when he slams with his fists miles away
That definitely still happens some, I fight him pretty regularly.
>running away and waiting for a boss to use an easily punishable attack = not cheesing a boss fight
if you're gonna be such a fucking idiot that you think difficulty = boss quality then at least fight the bosses properly in manly close quarters combat you uncontested champion of morons
>nice meme
3 attacks and a meteor attack is good mechanics? the theme is nice thats it.
>its the best example of this sort of fight in any souls game
the best example lasts 15 seconds? it was a disappoint. its like they included a boss for the sake of it. it was a mob, nothing more.
>mergo is actually a really good fight if you do it around level 45-50
level is irrelevant, i beat the whole game a bl4, and it was still easy as shit. its visually amazing to look it, and the theme/tone is great, but the mechanics are too basic.
>is a fine fight, if we're saying its bad just because its not that hard
when did i mention difficulty you dumb hack? it has the same problem mergo does, looks great, but the fight consists of walking to the right and pressing r1.
>rom is a decent fight
rom is literally the same shit as undead giant, run in attack 1-2x, run out. assuming you dont rape her in phase 1 before she teleports, its boring.
>micolash is a great and fun experience that really spices up the game
its an annoying battle at best, i liked the lore of him and the theme, but it was practically a pvp battle were the host keeps on running away.
>so we're counting chalice ""Bosses""" now?
they're part of the game you stupid hack. you dont get to remove them because they dont fit your preconceived notion of "bloodborne bosses"
>content blah blah
what does this have to do with anything you tard? for the record i like chalice dungeons, and bb is my favorite souls game. chalices for extending pve content which i primarily play souls games for.
>you're a fucking retarded memer who thinks the whole point of the game is difficulty
show me in my original post were i said that. if i was complaining about difficulty. i would have added ameila, laurence/cleric, bsbt, paarl, and eldar to the list, but i didn't because they're fun to fight, along with good themes to boot.
kill yourself sonyngger.
If devs leave an obvious oversight like stagger chaining then it is not well designed.
Same, but that was because I finished all the Kalpas and had Dante in my party by that point.
Faggots love the Artorias fight because he fights like Berserk armour Guts.
Manus and Kalameet were far superior boss fights
>Kill yourself sonygger
Outed yourself as an assmad pcuck
You'll never ever get to play Bloodborne Unless you stop being retarded and pick up a PS4 of course.
