Noice.

i have a bunch of these retro japanese guides i guess thats rare for an american

Can you read Japanese?

In the Japanese versions of OoT/MM, do Gossip Stones "giggle?" I read that on Zelda Dungeon's Mask section and I've been wondering if it was just a mistake.

im learning. what i do is play these games in japanese but use the guides if i get stuck or i just collect them because theyre neat, and way more in depth than any american guide book i've ever seen. like i have one for family jockey thats like 100 pages with like a page for each horse and every course and what not. the ones for rpgs are basically bibles that cover absolutely any aspect of the game.

sadly i dont own oot/mm guide and i have yet to play both those games. im going to japan next week so maybe ill pick them up there

Darn. Well thanks. And cool. I used to own several JPN guides for Zelda, so I know about their Biblical collection of data.

New question, maybe you can still help with. Is this translation accurate? What I mean is, is the text saying that its rare to see the Light Spirits in their growth period in a recurring sense? Or as in a one-time event in the past?

I used to play it obsessively as a kid.

How is this rare? I own a copy too

I have 63 & 1/3rd.

Got annoyed trying to unlock the other characters and figured the only way possible was with codes.

None of these were really that rare, but:

* Super Multitap
* PlayStation 2 Network Adaptor
* Metal Gear 25th Anniversary: Metal Gear Music Collection
* 60GB PlayStation 3
* Suikoden II

this and the console that plays it.

If it counts, I have a Bioshock Infinite poster from the Boston midnight release event signed by Ken Levine.

I know Ive had something rarer but the second best is the golden NES zelda

I cant sell this fucking thing for more than $10 though so its worthless.

I have a lot of not for resale ds and n64 games, idk how rare those are

...

I think this is rare. Have the red/blue memory card too.

I'm not sure, maybe this? I also have a sealed Blazblue Continuum Shift europe-exclusive Fans Edition, which I can't even find on ebay, so that might be rare. It has a Nendoroid Noel and a Taokaka mousepad.

I have a shitload of games and I never really kept up with what's rare.

...

Pics or else you know.

Probably my unopened copy of this fucker

I can't think of any specific ones, but I have a bunch of import game music cds that are probably somewhat rare....

Like PaRappa The Rapper 2, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, one for the PSP Prinny game, and again probably some others I'm not too aware of.

An original of this in the box

The only rare thing I have

Ibara w/strategy guide - $180 last i checked
Dodonpachi Saidaiouji Super Limited Editon - $120
Mushihimesama LE - $100
Rule of Rose - $200
Haunting Ground - $80
Kuon - $120
Aria of Sorrow Complete - $75
Buffy GBA Complete $-80
Kingdom Under Fire Art Book - $???you cant even find a picture of it online its so rare

a bunch of other shit that i cant keep track of, but those come to mind

I've got a sealed copy of Pokemon emerald, in pretty good condition. I'd say that's probably the rarest vidya I've got.

I have car wars for the Texas instruments home computer.

Shit that's rare? I've got one too, it was my second favorite RPG as a kid, next to Breath of Fire 1. I also have a Xenogears near-mint CIB.

Sculptors cut is probably the rarest game I own.

Rarest thing I own is probably a poster signed by George Kamitani, but I also don't know how often he signs things either

Most Valuable game I have is Panzer Dragoon Saga though. Still need to play it some time

do you want a timestamp?

Of coursh.

sell me that senpai

Threads like this reminds me I need to update my lists.

I was thinking a bunch of the games for the Neo Geo Pocket Color would be considered rare, but none of the ones I have seem to be.

Also strange considering that SNK actually "recalled" the games in a sense when they ended support, they pretty much bought all unsold stock back from retailers.

here ya go

I know you. I've seen you post on the Zelda traders page on Facebook or Zelda Zone; one of the two. Anyway, I don't actually have it anymore. I just posted it as bait.

I sold it for $10 to somebody on CAG a few years ago. All it is is a copypasted print of the Zelda.com encyclopedia by Nintendo Power. It's from Official Nintendo Magazine, but I couldn't tell you what issue or what you had to do to get it. I forgot. In hindsight I should have at least taken a picture of the copyright page. But it probably said nothing important. It was bare-bones as it gets. An insult to Zelda. That's why I practically threw it out to the first guy who wanted it.

Ok user, you delivered. Color me surprised.

Can you make your own custom levels in the game still and swap them with other 64DD's?

>tfw no physical ever17

My rarest items though would have to be every promotional coin (NYC Link, Comic-Con Twilight Princess, E3 BoTW)
Sealed hyrule historia collectors edt.
15k stars TP Statue
Wind waker Preorder bobblehead + Game cover
Spirit tracks coins + Rupee stylus

Ummm, i'm sure there's more but it's late. A lot of my shit i could easily sell for much more than i got it, but i never would.

Some of my favourite things to collect are silly promotional items like the coins though.

Same here. I have boxes and boxes of em.

Very nice, I got this one last month. The first disc was EXTREMELY short, hope the game isn't six hours long.

>I've seen you post on the Zelda traders page on Facebook or Zelda Zone
What? i have never posted there. Sounds like someone impersonating me. Funny thing is that someone on ebay is using images of my detolf to sell their stuff. I've reported it but they keep doing it. Annoying.

I have a near complete Earthbound. All I need are the cardboard inserts for the box.

I found a copy of Popful Mail on the Sega CD recently too. Disc only sadly.

thats hard to say but the translation is accurate. that last part can kinda be said like "to be able to see the spirits' growth phase is rare". i would think its like a one-time deal since it says "in the past", as in they are no longer like that and the part that says "the were human bodies and heads of beasts" has.....emphasis.

You can make your own levels, but I don't know about any import export features since I wouldn't have anybody else with one to trade with.

I mean by *Nintendo of America, not Power. but they were probably the same thing.

Odd, I guess you do have an imposter. I could've sworn someone posted your exact setup in a "Post your collection" thread.

I'm not interested in valuable stuff but I am interested in Ocarina of Time stuff. Do you have any JPN guides like the user above for Zelda? I'm looking for the white Ocarina of Time guide.

Is there a resource available for the amount of copies that were printed of various games?

could you in theory take the diskette(?) with your level data on it, transfer it to another one, and see it it loads back into your device?

I got an english cart of Pocket Reversi.
That's not as rare as they make it out to be since I got mine in one of those blister package carts and console bundle they used to sell in Gamestations.

Thanks bro. What do you mean by emphasis?

I want to stick a flesh light in that mask and pretend I'm fucking the Deku Princess

>splinters

No thanks.

Shoot.

You don't know anyone with another 64DD, to try this

i just looked up that group on Fb. Not gonna join it but do people ever have anything worthwhile?

I've posted that first image many times in collections threads so it's not surprising someone took it. I don't have any Jap guides though, sorry.

It wouldn't feel nice. The hole isn't too big

Good idea for a wiki.

Start it, I'll follow it.

Well since custom levels are stored on the diskette, I suppose they're essentially portable. I don't see how you could get the n64 to hold a level in RAM while you swapped and tried to save to another diskette. However, when I got mine the DD wasn't emulatable and I read something that said it was now. I know F-Zero rom hacks have been a thing for a while, and I know that on fzerocentral people upload very specific instructions on how to recreate their personal levels.

Zelda Zone sucks and is just filled with little kids, but Zelda Traders & Collections Official Community is good.

There's a lady on there who has the biggest Nintendo collection I've ever seen, but she never posts anything for sale. There's another guy selling away his collection right now, and he just sold a sealed copy of ALttP signed by Miyamoto.

Typically, it's just cool to keep up with odd stuff from around the world like this Mexico exclusive Zelda shampoo for the Oracle games.

Pic related still sells for around $150.

Also Megaman Legends 2.

I think I own still some old games that are worth around $50

sealed oot na version, on the right

I have the last issue of nintendo power monthly sealed
dont know if that's worth something, here's hoping

it is a rarity. I paid a pretty penny for just the diskm was not able to get the mem card.

Reason its rare it because it was a NYC Nintendo store exclusive in the early 2000's

is it the hologram box with the ver 1.0 gold cart?

its not the collectors edition

>I have a near complete Earthbound.
Now that reminds me, I DO!

I just need to find the darned thing, and I think the guide is in a box full of them.

>localized shit
>rare
toppu kekku

Not that guy, but it is.

You can tell because the box for the Collector's Edition has the butt of the hilt extending unto the next facet. They shrunk the logo so it all fits on the cover after that.

Not that I have money, but what's the lowest you would take for it if I did?

CIB MUSHA
CIB Lucienne's Quest for the 3DO
CIB Earthbound (LOL NOT RARE)
absolutely mint TurboDuo
a working Jaguar CD
Last of Us Post Pandemic Edition

Probably the "rarest" thing I own is a sealed copy of the FFXI Seekers of Adoulin Ultimate Edition for the 360. One of the rarest seventh gen games, I think there were only 10,000 or so copies printed, and it was sold exclusively though Square Enix's store and gamestop.com. Value isn't really there yet, but once the seventh gen really crosses into collector territory, I hope I can make some good money on the $30 investment.

I came in here thinking I had nothing rare left but I see this. Are these considered rare? I have both a bunch of games for the neo geo pocket still.

Other than that I guess the original gold LoZ with case and manual, but I don't think that's very old.

>Are these considered rare?

Not really.

Okay thought not

uh....... read this
japanese.stackexchange.com/questions/5398/what-is-the-meaning-of-~んです
and japanese.stackexchange.com/questions/343/whats-the-difference-between-ね-and-な-as-tag-questions

so the emphasis comes in the sentence 身体は人間だったのだな
emphasis is here→のだな

its not the collectors edition

I know your pain bro

Dokapon Kingdom for Wii

That game is worth a shitload of money, used.

>All those boxed N64 games
I'm cumming

I was extremely lucky last summer when I found this for $10 from a local guy selling his games.

Thanks brosuke, You have been a major help.

Oh, guess I was wrong and the enlarged logo is on every version of ocarina of Time. Funny thing for Nintendo to overlook, unless it was intentional.

Feels like I see you in every damn thread I visit on Sup Forums. Get a job, user!

You ARE the one with that awful looking golden Epona statue, right?

I've never played a single Zelda and Final Fantasy game.

Appropriate reaction pic.

Neat

I have castlevania the new generation, alien soldier and probotector best version, i don't care, fucking cool ass robots
