I will be, in 2017.
>Any other open world game with crafting
"WOW WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT? ANOTHER AAA GAME WITH A GIANT WORLD, CRAFTING AND HUNTING? THIS IS FUCKING RETARDED! IM SO SICK OF THESE GAMES!"
>The game has "Nintendo" and/or "Zelda" on it
"WOW 10/10 SO ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE GOTY 2017 YOU CAN CLIMB MOUNTAINS AND COOK FOOD AND HUNT ANIMALS AND CRAFT THINGS! OMG NINTENDO IS PUSHING THE INDUSTRY FORWARD ONCE AGAIN!"
Fucking kill yourself
I can't fucking WAIT for La-mulana 2 OP
Because we know the open-world features will just be icing on the cake that is awesome story, characters full of depth, challenging dungeons and endless content.
>Any other open world game with crafting
"WOW SO ORIGINAL 10/10 I LOVE IT MMM FEED ME THAT VIDEO GAME COCK"
>Nintendo released open world game with crafting
"WOOOOW SO UNORIGINAL NINTENDO FUCKING BULLSHIT JAPS STEALING GAMES FUCK"
>its only bad when nintendo does it
>see open world game made by any other company
It's garbage.
>See open world game made by Nintendo
It's garbage.
There, not so hard.
2017 game with 2007 visuals! Wow!
inb4 The Last Guardian, The Last Guardian literally is a 2007 game.
That's not Nier Automata.
The Dante bit gets me every time.
Why are you deflecting so fucking hard
No one even mentioned TLG
I think both games look mediocre, not amazing, not bad.
>zelda game
>characters full of depth
>challenging dungeons
God of war is gonna be great isn't it.
>awesome story
Why are BotW threads always filled with flame war shitposting?
>awesome story
Let's not kid ourselves. Zelda has always had an okay story at best. And even then, the later Zelda games have been total trash in that category. "oh noes, Ganon is back AGAIN!" "oh no, an evil fashion witch is making everyone look gaudy! this is horrible!" "oh man, the king's royal pool is out of water! time to hire Mario and FLUDD!"
>characters full of depth
They have the depth of an average COD shooter. I don't see how they could be thought provoking.
>challenging dungeons
Which is why not a single Zelda has a hard mode? And yes, I'm making a distinction between "hard mode" and "hero mode" because the former would imply a complete AI overhaul for the enemies, instead of just making them do more damage.
>and endless content.
The No Man's Sky argument. Not too convincing.
>inb4
do you not understand what inb4 means
it never has been, why would it be now?
Majoras Mask has an awesome story, Wind Waker too, the majority of them had a great story.
If its good ill get an NX for it. I dont have a WiiU so i really hope they port mario maker
Majora's Mask maybe, but Wind Waker was kind of trash around the last acts.
>Tetra is actually Zelda! Now she has to stay in a dark cave while you search for triforce pieces which were broken up for no good reason other than we need to extend the game's length!
>during the final battle her only use is shooting arrows, and she's out for half the battle because of one smack
Yeesh. Talk about hamfisted.

>are you ready for chapter 3?
Yes I am ready for chapter 3.
>a completely hypothetical situation with zero evidence
I am ready for the GOTD of course
Sonyggers and dumb shitposters will disagree, and they should kill themselves since they clearly don't like vidya
Happens all the time actually.
>Bayonetta 2 and Mario 3D World get high metacritics
>"see? Game journalists are our friends! they would never lie to us!"
>Undertale and Uncharted get high scores
>"WOW BUNCH OF PAID SHILLS! Game journos are idiots!"
Damn son, these hypothetical people really are idiots!
Anyone who puts any stock in "professional" game reviewers is retarded.
Won't even be game of Q1 2017 famalam
There's cooking, but the only """"crafting"""" we've seen is smacking some rocks and wood with a metal tool to make a campfire
>thinking the shitzone devs can make anything good
My emulator isn't quite ready, but in a year it will be.
The Killzone devs, unlike many other sony devs, are Infamous for delving into Uncharted territory, though. They have a real Knack for it.
Thanks for proving his point
>i-i-if you don't like Zelda you hate vidya!
Sorry son but most people here are over the age of 18
>sonygger
For your sake, I hope you only said this ironically. Console warring should be permabanned on sight.
Nice, I was waiting for this since I saw the trailer.
I'm ready!
because it gets hits
>i've only ever played half a loz game: the post
How are Uncharted, Undertale, 3D World, and Bayo related in any way whatsoever
like they're LITERALLY all different genres.
WHY ARE ALL SCREENSHOTS AND WEBMS SO WASHED OUT?!
WHERE ARE THE DIRECT FEED HD SCREENSHOTS?
Stopped at 2:40.
Blegh. If I ever see Nintendo make a trailer like that, I think I'll run for the freaking hills.
No offense. I know you must have put a lot of work into this.
I think this is pretty relevant right now.
They're all games hyped by Sup Forums at some point in time.
Right, because no one's interested in H:ZD.
Legend of Zelda does have a legacy and brings in a crowd for a reason. It has one of the most acclaimed line-ups of games, well known characters, and has been around for 30 years.
not related to the original point though
My original point is that the exact same people will hold double standards if it benefits them. It's only one among many examples I could use.
But that example is invalid considering there isn't another game like Breath of the Wild being made by a different company. It's quite literally a hypothetical scenario.
wish I could find that one with Zelda 1 dungeon music.
it was epic. simply epic.
The actual trailer had that twice, just as the video.
what he means is didn't fit with the music at all. I've seen the video before and I'd agree. The cut works with the original because of the music, it doesn't work in this for the same reason.
Why do sonyggers keep posting this bait of an edited stream picture? I swear sonyponies are still salty and assblasted about losing E3 and only having TLoU clones or generic open worlds while Nintendo brings a breath of fresh air no pun intended to a stale genre that DESPERATELY needs innovation. Sonycucks need to get over it and be idorts or enjoy other games.
Lately, I've been seeing sonyroaches try comparing the game to Horizon and getting salty that Zelda, a beloved classic IP that is one of the most popular of all time, is getting more attention and love and polish than Horizon, a game made to cater to SJW by the makers of generic shooters Killzone and never have made a non-Killzone IP game before. Literally a one trick pony. So please, quit embarassing yourselves.
>..Generic..
>Muh point
>invalid opinion
>faggot
>retard
>lol nice strawman
Ahh Sup Forums, always the same format, never change my vanilla angel, for i too await the day that good sirs and ma'ams talk about video games on the video game board
inaccurate pick
if it had been a new ip without zelda we would just call it babbies elder scrolls.
>Why would someone post a blatantly cherry-picked picture of an in-progress game and shitpost about it to get a rise out of people?
Is this your first time on Sup Forums?
ironically though the new zelda features a far more interactive world than elder scrolls.
>we would just call it babbies elder scrolls
Well yeah, because that's pretty much what BotW is
Seeing as this is a Zelda thread.
The fuck was up with Twinmold? Did they just design half a boss battle then go to bed? It's pathetically easy, just slash randomly and tank the hits. That fucking bat mini-boss was more challenging and more interesting than Twinmold.
Gyorg also sucked.
Will the EH REH guy return to give us more music?
With one year of dev time I'm not surprised that most of the bosses are subpar.
At least the tradeoff is the side quests being so damn good and the atmosphere of the world.
Fuck Zelda. Skyward Sword was atrocious.
Zelda is notorious for having a worring number of shitty bosses.
Some are given surprising character and are very fun to fight and defeat, others we can't even remeber about.
Benn playing through Ocarina of Time recently and I've gotta say, as much as I like it, the bosses in that game are a mixed bag at best.
ALBW was great tho.
we legend of skyrim now boiis 10/10 GOTY GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The real problem I have with Zelda bosses is that they're almost always too easy, are dead before you know it, and are almost never fully explored as boss fights.
Like WW's final boss. It was great, except for it being easy as fuck. If the difficulty were increased and you actually had to exploit the game's mechanics, including side stepping and backflipping, it would be fantastic.
That said, I don't have too much of an issue with OoT or WW's bosses otherwise. I always felt like they were fine aside from the easy difficulty.
Which is why I'm not sure why everyone hated SS for its boss fights when I personally felt like they were a major step forward. They were fun, definitely a step up in challenge, and the game let you replay boss fights whenever you wanted to.
I felt like ALBW had better boss fights than most other Zelda games too.
>But that example is invalid considering there isn't another game like Breath of the Wild being made by a different company.
And how do you know that? What makes BOTW so unique that no other company could ever approach it?
Great how? It was another casualized Zelda with absolutely no difficulty and unoriginal bosses.
I had to put it somewere, but you are right. Maybe making the cut straight to Link without a black screen would have worked better Ego.
You mean Downgrade of the year?
I saw all the hype this got by game journalists, and that's why I instantly hate this game. If Polygon and Kotaku and IGN think your product is so amazing, then there's a problem and I don't want any part of it.
2D zeldas usually have better bosses I tend to find. They still suffer from the design philosophy of making the whole dungeon, including the boss, to be obviously beatable using whatever itme was acquired in that dungeon.
But back to 3D zelda, I can at least give it a pass if the fight looks cool. That's why I fucking love TP bosses, despite being even easier than average, specially in the wii version.
The last bosses in all Zeldas are almost always cool and marginally more challenging, so I have no problem with those.
OoT in particular had not only easy bosses, but unispired too. Why the fuck would I be excited to fight that amoeba thing? Or the fucker with the drum? For every amazing Twinrova tier boss there's another as forgetable as that thing inside JabuJabu that I genuinely don't remember the name.
>But back to 3D zelda, I can at least give it a pass if the fight looks cool. That's why I fucking love TP bosses, despite being even easier than average, specially in the wii version.
TP bosses were fucking shit. I KNEW TP was going to be a bad game when I fought the boss of the second dungeon, and despite how intimidating he looked, he didn't put up a fight in the least and was dead in like, half a minute. That shit was such a letdown.
>OoT in particular had not only easy bosses, but unispired too. Why the fuck would I be excited to fight that amoeba thing?
Fuck you. No really, fuck you. I mean it. OoT was the first game in the series to translate the series' 2D gameplay to 3D, along with being one of the first real 3D action-adventure games ever. Its boss design should get credit for being as good as it is. And its bosses were also legitimately memorable.
>Bongo-Bongo
How the FUCK was that shit uninspired in the least?
>not posting the better one
youtube.com
it still hurts
youtube.com
None of the people who played said anything negative about the graphics other than pop-in or even vaguely referenced a downgrade you armchair cunt
It will never NOT hurt
if they do, it'll happen. Until then it's hypothetical
Zelda II had the best bosses.
Aside from being able to cheese the fuck out of dark link.
>TP bosses were fucking shit.
Your reasoning seems to be about the difficulty, which I already admited to be bellow the average for an already low difficulty series.
Can't really argue with racing a giant floating dragon bone head while riding a giant beyblade though. Also those finishing moves, the dynamic music the battles were great to watch, just piss easy to play.
>Fuck you.(...)
Well maybe, but as I also said, some were fucking amazing. I can also respect something like Gohma for not only being a cool staple of the series, but also having some relevance to the context of the game, being the representation of the Great Deku Tree's curse. Deflecting Twinrova's beams was super fun too, and those moans when you hit the final form... oh boy!
I love when they give you hints about the boss and build up tension before you actually face them. That's why I always remember the skelleton dude from LA, or Twinrova, or Yeta...
Bongo Bongo was the opposite. They made it look mysterious and threatening when that shadow came out of the well. If you still didn't find the lens it was even scarier because you know that shit came out from there and you have to explore that spooky place as a child only to be able to explore an even spookier place in shadow temple later. And the build up was intense. There are all sorts of messe up texture in those places: blood stains, chains hanging, walls made of bones and skulls just blurry enough that you feel unconfortable and don't really know why.
In the end, what was the threatening shadow that broke the seal and atacked you? A goofy pair of hands playing a drum by the name of bongo bongo. I mean, seriously?
I don't mean it's artistically unispired, but definitely underwhelming.
Get a fucking room you faggots
desu I like the one that looks like the red band trailer more
zelda is a good game
skyrim/fallout/etc are okay games because open world
zelda + open world = fantastic game
GTA/elder scrolls/fallout all have shitty stories and boring characters
zelda has always been revered for how fun it is, the quality storytelling, and the unique mehanics
when you add the one thing that made those other things popular to an already great game, it's hard not to be fucking stoked about it
that's why people are so excited, not because "it's okay when nintendo does it"
we know there will be good gameplay beyond the open world aspect
Where you going first lads?
Also have any new webms popped up? There were some nice vids posted in early july.
Maybe that's because that game was so action oriented. I didn't really go too far with it, but the fights sure were intense.
>"Stop discussing videogames!"
What can I do? The lewd threads are kinda slow tonight.
Goin east to the rivers. Gonna try to hit the coast ASAP and swim and see if anything eats me.
>Also have any new webms popped up?
I don't think so
>that pic
Some people are scary with their obsession!
Welp I'm exploring the plateau quite a bit, then I'll try to figure out the next easy area. I don't want to fuck up the pacing since there are RPG elements now. Not because I don't want an early challenge, but because I don't want the intermediary areas to too easy with end game gear.
a dungeon.
my nigga
I'm finding a boat asap and becoming a bargeman
fuck horses
I'll try to find a waifu, whether in a village or across the wilderness.
I intend to play this like I play almost all games like this; choose a direction/landmark and start running, stopping at ever point of interest along the way
My first goal that I'll run towards will be the densest forest I can see
>awesome story
Found the cheap shill trying to salvage his dead company.
Enjoy Zelda Go.
i am!
This.
Naah... Ill be too busy playing GOTY 2016 to care.
Are fishing rods confirmed? I'll be very disapointed if I have to use bombs and bows for fishing.
Also, the raft looks like shit. We absolutely NEED a canoe like the one in TP.
Yeah, they're confirmed.
Why do the colors look so washed out? How come the wiiU cant do greens?
Could you please kill yourselves?
I enjoyed seeing the destruction of the worst fanbase in Sup Forums, but it's just sad now.
You are just a bunch of melodramatic virgins.
