Ren'Py requires coding but it's actually pretty simple if you look up some tutorials. Though I always had trouble getting custom menus and shit to work.
There's also this program called TyranoBuilder that seemed pretty shit at launch but might've gotten better by now.


As far as everything else goes, it's tough to go completely indie when it comes to music and art if you don't have the talent for it. You could always go for minimalistic art, which I've seen work out well for some VNs (the old school Night of the Sickle Weasel comes to mind).

Mainly because of the all slight remixes, but I just found a few of the tracks to be forgettable, and Carlos's theme just seemed out of place.
Once the complete OST gets released I'll give the full thing a listen through and see if my opinion changes.
