Space hulks have other hazards besides tyranids.
Besides, it's not like lighter armour would have an easier time of it. TD suits at least give you a chance of surviving.

Because Terminators have the best odds of success in enclosed areas. Anything else in those conditions is basically suicide.

Terminator armor also has forcefields. Plus it allows them to carry heavier weapons more easily, I mean in some of those spaces you're only going to be able to fit one space marine anyway, why not have that space marine carry the most powerful weapon available. Also the terminators can be teleported, it's likely that given the nature of space hulks, some areas may simply be unreachable by normal methods, so teleportation might be the only reasonable way to go, and in theory if one dies, he can be teleported back to safety to recover his equipment and gene seed.

Storm shields are gravitic shield generators which is ideal against something like jeanstealer claws. Better to keep their blades from touching the surface of anything in the first place.

Because termies have an easier time carrying around the most potent crowd control weapons in the Marine armory. Assault cannons and heavy flamers are a lot better than regular bolters and flamers. Since they are fighting in tight corridors, having those weapons is more useful than the mobility of standard power armor.

I'm not an expert on WH40K but I'm pretty sure there's no un-manned anything because of some SkyNet-Terminator style uprising that happened in their lore and makes them wary of any kind of AI.

That's literally the only environment they can be effective in when it comes to actual combat. Just drive straight and shoot, nigga, while opening doors with a robotic arm.

It makes sense to send the most trained and experienced solders to the highest priority missions, regardless of danger, but it makes no fucking sense to send them into literal deathtrap, low priority missions with dubious pay offs.

Probably won't get translated into the game, but canon-wise space hulks are a huge mess of intersecting tunnels of every size and orientation, and all the artificial gravity systems from the different ships that make it up mean gravity is all over the fucking place.

I don't know man, Genestealers are hidden everywhere and the space hulk itself has some defenses like turrets and all that.

I'm not sure if sending unmanned vehicles is a good idea, atleast the space marines, with all their experience and equipment can manage to defeat the genestealers.
