Eat shit rayfag.

IWBTB

allow me to disagree

never played it

Finished this.
And this.
Genuinely tough as shit and I never reached the end.

>you have to collect every single stupid gem in the game or else you can't fight the final boss

artificial difficulty: the game

it really isn't
I love rayman but there are far harder platformers out there
once you reach the caves, the whole game feels like a cakewalk all of the sudden

OP, it's not even close...

OP meant games that were still alive, though.
And as a Rayman fan since 1, yes, yes it is.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=02gLPWxEMbM

you only need all cages, gems doesn't do shit.

>once you reach the caves, the whole game feels like a cakewalk all of the sudden
It only gets harder after caves, did you even play the game past that?

lol sure bros

>muh fake difficulty

What, too hard for you?

>Rayman 1
>Hard
Pick one faggot.
Shit's easy as fuck, beat it as a kid and I play it through 100% every now and then because it's in my top 5.

both pandemonium 1 and 2 are seriously tough as nails
as a kid owning the game at home I could never finish either, but I managed to finish Rayman while only being able to play on the school computers for an hour each day no problem

get your shitty game out of here faggot

>Muh easy memorization meme game

What make games like Rayman and Plok hard isn't that they fuck you over every second, forcing you to adapt to easily learned patterns. It's the fact they have much more drawn out levels that spike in difficulty when you least expect it, meaning they're much more unpredictable and tougher to get trough than youtuber memegame or memehack number 367.

>Space Mama's Crater

>Mah memorization: the game
It's a pile of shit, mate.

Both are cool. And I like both.
Fuck the last level in the first game and FUCK the last level in the second game.

nope, the slippery mountains and push-pin city were definitely the hardest parts
after them everything else felt a lot easier
the only tricky one left is the balls in the water level, but that's it

also skops is a joke

>back to collect those cages huh?

Kaizo Mario does not count, it's a mod. :^)

> beat it as a kid and
Kill yourself, I'm convinced every fucker that starts off with this shit is shitposting, fucking lying faggot.

I found the origional to be most difficult simply because it's controls and phyics were complete dogshit. Rayman origins on the other hand was actually a well made and challanging platformer.
youtube.com/watch?v=z5tGu6QPzYk

It was fun, never beated it due to not finding all the cages

But this game is the hardest platformer

that game traumatized me.

busby is harder

>tfw I beat the original Rayman

At the age of 10

Fucking Joe, go plug in your sign yourself

>Original Rayman threads will never do well

Life is suffering

>tfw you realize the cave parts of Eat at Joe's have continuity between them

youtube.com/watch?v=g7ZvpOe_2BA

Truly Domestic abuse is the hardest of all games and the funniest.

I got to Eat at Joe's at around the same age and my fucking disc stopped working.

Recently rebought it and finally completed it though, felt amazing.

>flash trash

the autsim festival was last week

Hot damn

Is that crash bandicoot fanart in the style of Gurren Lagann ad break stills?

The post above that one? Yes

I was 11 when I first played it. Beat it in a month. What the fuck is up with people not taking the time to find every cage? You know where to look based on the legend the game gives you with each level. It's not even hard, in that sense. You fuckers are true casuals.

>being better than me isn't allowed even if i was a retarded kid
you first

plz
youtube.com/watch?v=ZnJktp_x-_I

It's well known that the game was "hard" simply because the controls were fucking horrible. Origins does everything right. As far as I am concerned Ubi Art studio hasn't really made many blunders and none of their games require Uplay.

man, all this games were great. did not finish any of them but spent a shitload of time with them.

No.

...

the hardest shit about rayman is to collect ALL the electoons to finish the game, fuck that shit

still one of my favorite games

>Rayman 2 was cancelled for 3D shit

Dumb frogposter

That unlockable prototype demo in Rayman 2 was the fucking coolest shit

I never finished Rayman. Shit got fucking real when cakes and erasers started getting in on the action and eventually I lost my save somewhere along with Windows 95.

Couldn't beat the shadow Rayman that follows you, I just couldn't take that shit as a kid.

And I think the Viking singer gave me a hard time.

Game hasn't aged badly at all, is probably sill better than Legends and all the others.

Posting an actual difficult game

I was actually so disappointed with Rayman 2. I couldn't beleive, even as like a ten year old or whatever, that they'd abandon the superior gameplay and clever world building and characters for that 3D Globbox and pirates shit that just seemed unrelated to the first game.

Did anyone watch the Rayman TV show? I did, can't remember much.

I remember Earthworm Jim being hard. Maybe I was just shit.

>Rayman 2 was cancelled for 3D
>finally get used to 3D rayman
>Rayman 4 gets cancelled for a party game

The 3D one (ones?) were definitely hard and tedious as shit, mainly from controls as far as I remember.

Trial and error isn't hard. Even a 5 year old could complete it with enough hours.

The only really hard part in 3D are the boss fights, which to be fair be some of the worst in any platformer ever made. I wonder how many people gave up when they reached the first one

Sorry friend, but 3D was a mistake. They should've made a 3D entry when they had the proper technology, because the PS1 version was comparatively ugly as sin and controlled much worse.

Does anyone know why the soundtrack in Rayman is so strange? There's music tracks, and SFX tracks, but they never play at the same time. And nothing in the game ever loops as you'd expect it to.

Rayman 2 is easily the best game in the entire franchise though.

Not Another Needle Game.
You do not know suffering yet, Platform-fags.
>Inb4 muh easy memorization game
Then go 100% it. :^)

Fuck this game. I shed so many tears to get to the end just to have the game go WHOOPS YOUGOTTA COLLECT ALLLLLL THE TINGS TRY AGAIN

FUCK YOU RAYMAN

NEVER RAISE YOUR VOICE AT ME AGAIN KID

thats not kaizo mario or dragons lair OP.

Kaizo Mario is hard but it requires no improvisation or deep knowledge of the games controls to be played. You just throw yourself at a level until you learn it.

Dragons Lair is just difficult because of poor controls and bad design, on top of being the same as Kaizo in what I just mentioned.

here's your (you)

Dustforce

I have PTSD about the band land levels.

Even with the 99 lives cheat I couldn't beat the dark rayman level at the end.

Gotta go play origins now because nostalgia

Those fucking checkpoints

Is this ignoring the whole Precision Platformer genre? Because I can think of a good 10 that compare to Kamilia 3, above and below. Seems like you guys are only posting generic mainstream shit. What's next, The Lion King SNES?

But for simplicity of the matter, Kamilia 3.
