I felt like this game suddenly became very "cheap" after Mt. Gagazet.
Cutscenes took a bad drop in quality and it seemed like really really bad acting.
Or maybe it was like that from the start and I didn't realize it?
FFX
Everything except the graphics felt cheap, user. Even the music was MIDI shit on a fucking PS2 game.
the soundtrack was great tho, the fuck?
I started playing through the HD version not too long ago, but I can't bring myself to finish it at Mt. Gagazet. I forgot how mind-numbing turn based random battles could get.

Sounds like something from a SNES game.
It was cheap from the start, and you can't skip any of it, not even in the fucking "remaster".
it´s impossible as fuck until you know exatcly what you´re supposed to do. I dropped out at Jecht coz my level is too low to beat him or something and i dont wanna grind for 50 hours
I used Yojimbo, he always managed to avoid Jecht's sword swing for some reason.
>grind
I wish this game had built in cheats like FFVII on the PS4, I ain't got the time to grind like I did when I was a kid and played this.
Never woulda beat Jecht if I didn't look up some of Rikku's mixes and made one that gave everyone double map HP.
It has cheats on the PC remaster.
Sounds like a final fantasy boss theme
Nah, SNES games had much nicer samples. Sounds more like an RPG Maker game.
It's hard to believe Square cheaped out so hard on the music to such a huge game. Nobuo must have been going through a slump at the time too because his contributions are easily the weakest.
BETTER DEAD THAN AL BHED
>people disliking FFX OST
Where the fuck did that come from now?
You people are imbeciles
everything has cheats on the PC, sadly I'll have to grind my ass off if I want to play anymore on the PS4
That's probably why he had assistance in the first place instead of doing it all himself like usual.
The quality is lower than even the OSTs of the PS1 games.
>The quality is lower than even the OSTs of the PS1 games.
Your point?

FF8 alone had a much better OST and I don't even like that game.
>FF8 alone had a much better OST

Best boss theme in the series right there
I used a Friend Sphere to put Yuna on Auron's sphere grid. All his bonuses are str+4 and after a few levels your aeons are all doing max damage. Not evem halfway through the game and you're one shotting bosses left and right.
I see the autistic FF7 manbabies are out in full force again
>trying to discuss a remake nobody cares about on Sup Forums

>generic, unexceptional JRPG "touching" music
>shat all over with circa-2000 midi soundfonts
Yep, nothing to hear here, move along.
Nobuo half assed all of his music in X. Junya and Masashi were the game's saving graces when it came to the music.
So glad they got rid of the old fart, he clearly lost his touch.

It's strange I used to love this game when I was younger but replaying it now I kind of hate it. It's really easy and the flow keeps getting interrupted by cutscenes every few minutes. I kind of just want to endure it just to get to end game but damn is it annoying.
I think he was just sick of doing work on Final Fantasy. His Lost Odyssey OST wasn't too shabby.
>autistic manbabies
>immediately pointing fingers at what he doesn't like
Don't be a hypocrite.
I don't even remember grinding to get through the storyline stuff. Maybe you just need to learn how to play one of the more shallow JRPGs around.
He turned out good work on games after X, though. He just really phoned it in on that game for whatever reason.
I'm sorry nobody responded to your bait =(. Here's a (you)

so you just 'accidentally' posted moon runes. fuck off japanese dev and shill somewhere else please. not our fault you will get laid off because your shitty remake didn't sell for shit
I'm a 12fag actually. 10 sucks, deal with it.
kill yourself
>12fag saying 10 sucks
That's a funny joke user.
if they live in the sands, nuke their lands
FFX always felt extremely mediocre to me. Its probably my least favorite FF game, including VIII and XIII.
I just want to punch Tidus in his stupid face and throw a cup of water on Yuna and make her cry. The rest of the party was meh to decent.
edgy
I'm not talking just storyline stuff, all the extra shit takes forever.
I have an affinity for edgy characters. Lulu and drunk-samurai-guy were cool
Stay mad 10babbies.
MIDI doesn't stop music from being good.
FFX have a great OST.

What's with the cardboard boxes in the background?
Hyped for Zodiac Age, fellow 12fag?
They say they're "expanding" the job system and doing some rebalancing, so it's not just going to be an HD touchup, which is interesting. Game already looks incredible emulated at 1080p anyway.
That's from the demo, where you're not supposed to be able to get that high or see that far, so I'm not too surprised the game isn't prepared to have a decent-looking view out there.
Poor people condos.
FFX's post-game extras are awful. There aren't any interesting bosses, just big sacks of HP and damage that just require you to grind for max stats and then grind for ingredients for Rikku's overpowered mixes.
I appreciate the attempt to have a lot of stuff to do at endgame, but they really didn't succeed at making any of it fun, sadly.

Where the fuck do I get more ability spheres?
You get like 18 fucking powers spheres per battle but I never get any ability ones
...
...
Not that guy but I am. I actually didn't like vanilla 12 that much but I'm really interested in seeing of the Zodiac edition is better, and it looks like my chance is finally coming next year.

t. teenage idiots who don't know anything about good music

XIII had better music and was more fun

t. autistic manchild who thinks good music is anything he heard in a game when he was 12
XIII had better music but the retards above were saying the music before X is better
I think good music is well written music, whether it's Can or Masashi Hamauzu.
I've beaten this multiple times, collected celestials multiple times, thank. God for the pc release breaking damage and hitting 999k right after getting rikku. Right around bevelle is where I started to get kinda worn out on it this playthrough. Probably need more than 2 years for another play through.
I really like the Zodiac Job System version, a lot better than vanilla (though I liked vanilla, overall, it absolutely had serious gameplay flaws). I'm interested to see what changes they're going to make for Zodiac Age compared to the IZJS version.
I'm playing both 10 and 12 right now and I'm consistently floored by how great 12's presentation is. Square-Enix came a really long way over the course of the PS2's life cycle.
I didn't play the game that much back in the days. I really look for it, as I always loved the universe of Ivalice.
I'm playing it on Vita right now--I bought a used Vita last year and the guy threw the game in with it--and I kinda wish I was playing on the PC version. I have no intention of cheating my way through the main story, even though I've beaten it before, but like hell I'm grinding my ass off again to do the superbosses. If I was on PC I could at least turn on cheats and play around with them.
