How good is this game compared to Rebirth 1-3...

How good is this game compared to Rebirth 1-3? If I was mostly interested in the character uzume tennouboshi would I be happy or disappointed?

Uzume's only in about 2/3rds of the game, but she makes the most of her time. Plus she's cute.

As someone who played Rebirth1 and liked it but then played 2 and 3 for a bit and dropped it because the gameplay just wasn't strong enough to play it 3 times, I played the first hour of V-II by button-mashing and that was it.
It's virtually the same game with longer dungeons and random encounters between travels through the overworld

Kinda this. Played Re;1 and made it through because it was new. Dropped re;2 after 4 hours because I've played them in a row so it was getting old. And because of Nepgear.
Skipped Re;3 so now playing V-II feels somewhat fresh again because it had the most gameplay changes.

It means that no matter how it will turn out or how fast I'll get bored playing it, I'm glad I played it already.

It's actually the strongest plot for any Nep game to date. The entire story of V-II is about dealing with the legacy of Dreamcast as we move our ass away from Gen7 to Gen8 consoles.

V-II didn't anticipate mobile gaming taking a piss on console gaming at large though, nor did it foresee Neo/Scorpio/NX.
V-II was made before Compile Heart/IF finally commit fully to PC platform through Steam at that, so how Xbox is moving under the Windows 10 ecosystem is also not a factor.

I don't think IF will ever talk about PC continent though. too bad that V-III will just revolve around mobile and 4k/ VR.

Better, Uzume is not available for the second act of the game, but is around for most of 1 and 3.

Heck one little warning about this game, the story is played out in segments and most of the time you will have completely different parties throughout the game. At least till close to the end where everyone comes together.

I don't miss Plutia, but I do miss having Mages, even if it was only because Rom and Ram didn't show up till the end.

I prefer having the fewer well written characters that we got this time(G3 and Uzume) rather than fuckton of old Makers being just as bland as ever and with no impact on the plot
Also I quite like the whole thing with swapping parties, it finally seems like all girls get screentime on their own instead of all being Neptune's sidekicks

I've noticed there's not 100's of dungeons littered all over the world map. There's less dungeons, not more, which means no more recycling because the devs are hacks.

Easily the best and a pretty big improvement from the originals. 31 hours for first clear (Normal ending) and I enjoyed the vast majority of it.
