yes, the basement setup is for older consoles only as i have a small child at home so i need a setup for when i am taking care of him and one with more fragile systems that i can play with when my son is either with the grandparents or with my fiance.

i moved the christmas lights to wrap around the old wooden clothes line that is in that picture.

the stripper pole is one of those extra metal poles used for extra support, while i don't really do much from that loveseat the pole blocks some you can still watch movies without it getting in the way of the tv view.

Just cleaned it the other day. Sorry for potato quality, for some reason my phone has a hard time focusing on things in my room, probably due to the shit lighting.

whoever plays here definitely has a story to tell. Not like these fucking kids with their pedantic setups.

if you cleaned up the clutter and properly hung that framed bladerunner poster it would be a solid 7/10 or 8/10.

I do stuff for TF2, It's alright but valve never really accepts weapons.

Workflow wise how easy is it to compile weapons and items? TF2 is a pain and its quicker to hang yourself than compile.

Why not use multiple lights at different places so that the whole room is lit? That's what I do for my place

For Dota it's all automated, you just feed in the textures and you models and the tool compiles it automatically.

Literally one click. Valve provides reference assets (base model and items with the skeleton as MA and FBX), and to compile your stuff it's pretty much one click. There's a tool that you feed your FBX and textures, click a button and it's compiled and working ingame.

Too bad everything else takes like 78534 times longer because it's a lot more complex than TF2, both technically and art wise.

Clean battlestations are boring. You look at the picture for 5 seconds and you've seen everything.
With that mess of a desk, you can look for a minute and still find something you haven't noticed.
But, I admit, you do have a point.

I've never used one but the backs look uncomfortable as shit and would probably encourage bad posture.

probably a regional thing, carpet is pretty much standard around here as nobody wants to wake up in the middle of winter and freeze their feet off.

unless you heat the flooring itself it's just not common to see hardwood outside of maybe the kitchen. though i might do something with the flooring at some point, it would be a waste to tear up brand new carpet with expensive pad (was installed right before i bought the house)

I built that desk in the first pic because lol small english room and I didn't need a huge desk. I've been in the USA for a year now waiting on my visa to go back, I don't need to buy or construct a new desk if I'm moving back overseas eventually. I'm not poor, I just don't like wasting money.
