>that guy who refuses to use common terminology in a given context

idk lolz hay u got any more funny peepee pictures??

"mobs" is absolutely acceptable if you are playing an MMO, given the history of the term

>he derogatorily describes all of the characters in a dungeons as "monsters"
who's truly in the wrong here

comes from MMO's, and is rooted in MUD's/MUSH's, where it's short for "Mobile NPC"

a guy referring to them as mobs is usually just an oldfag.

>That guy who calls all enemies monsters.

More likely a casual that rarely plays anything other than WoW and picked it up from people who picked it up from oldfags via everquest.

>guy that calls people "him" or "her" before knowing the persons desired pronouns

Fucking die shitlord cis scum.

Are you fucking shitting me? They're called mob in literally every fucking mmorpg ever. What the fuck are you even talking about?

>not calling monsters mogs
>not saying aggro
>not calling your character portrait a paperdoll
>not using the work gank
>not saying PKs (Pkayers[player killers])
>not saying rez
>not calling a friendly a blue
>not calling an enemy a red
>never experienced full loot MMO's

Not my fault you're gay as fuck.

>that guy who calls mob monsters

>that guy who calls MP "mana"
>that guy who calls HP "stamina"

>that guy who calls characters an avatar

Fuck them all

But literally everyone calls them mobs in mmos.

>that 'guy' who 'plays' 'video games'

Get back to 9gag

>That guy who calls mobs "creeps"

>that another alone guy who you meet in an area and work together with for a few minutes, before going your ways

>Not just calling everything and everyone "Dude"
>Just kill the dudes
>Its the final boss dude
>You know the special dude that only appears on that one level
Much easier

Ive stopped talking to around 15 people for this. The best part is I always wait a few days before blocking or refusing to text them back, that way they will never know why. One of them worke at gamestop and I always go to the store nextdoor and convince random girls to accompany me each time so we can day stuff like "they're characters right? Not toons or avatars" and laugh.

>that guy that refers to a character's skill set as a "kit"

>that guy who refers to HP as singular
>he doesn't realize you gain HPs and lose HPs

mob started as the mobile enemies in early MUD games and the terminology carried over to the enemies in MMOs

toons started in early games where you made an avatar to represent yourself and the graphics were so unrealistic and brightly colored we called them cartoons, or toons

>we

true, Most the people I play with are oldfags so that's what I'm used to. We got started on MUDs.

But basically, everyone got started calling them Mobs because the original MMO players brought that term over from MUDs.

Only complete newfags DON'T call them mobs, basically.

Not all mobs are monsters though, depending on the setting. Feels kind of ridiculous to call something like an ordinary dog or a bear a monster.
