Ico, Wind Waker, and Final Fantasy X come to mind.

Devil May Cry 1 and 3
Fatal Frame 1-3 (though the first game is a tad dated imo)
Super Metroid
DKC trilogy
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
OoT
MM
WW

...

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

I think I'm going to pick this up on the 3ds virtual console, it's between this and super metroid

amen brother

Silent Hill 3.

That game is still beautiful 13 years later.
Team Silent was a team of wizards, I mourn them often.

It might just be nostalgia goggles, but I think that Rayman 2 still holds up today. The arstyle helps its graphics not look like total crap.

character models haven't really progressed that much after SH3. also amazing lighting and visuals.

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

Pic related and just about any cell shaded game

Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2

Jedi Academy is still breddy gud

Haven't played much of Super Metroid, but Earthbound is pretty great.

>actually enjoying Nintendo Undertale
kys

OH shit, I completely forgot about these. I'll go ahead and mention the rest of Clover's output, plus:

>Resident Evil remake
>RE4
>Sin & Punishment 1
>Crazy Taxi

Super Mario Bros 3
Super Castlevania
Paper Mario
Kirby Super Star Saga

I hope you aren't implying SotC aged well.

That game averages around 9fps

Most good 2D games. These threads make me wonder if people here have played anything older than the PSX.

NES Zeldas

>summer
i hate this time of year

What's wrong, user? Is your AC out?

...

I played Shadow of the Colossus for the first time, on a PS2, in 2015.

It has aged surprisingly well, although the framerate blows dick.

Link to the Past

My niggas.

Starfox 64 is also still insanely fun to this day. I haven't touched Zero but I hear it didn't hit the mark.

why are developers so scared to make games that have wacky crazy fun mechanics and shit anymore

ill never be able to recapture those times when i was young hosting a giants lan party

Katamari Damaci

Considering its a 14 year old game, this game still looks pretty af.

People really underrate Sunshine, I think it's because most people played it as kids and it was pretty difficult at times. To be fair there are some truly BS parts.

Once the inevitable HD remake rolls around people will appreciate it, and the colors will pop way more.

It just didn't feel like a mario game at the time, the final battle was also VERY forgettable for me.

Plus his brother got a better game beforehand

>that music
>that setting and atmosphere
>that graphics
Love this game

The level design is horrid for the most part minus a few cool worlds. I just like walking around on Yoshi in Delphino Plaza

100% agree.

Hitman 2 is my favourite stealth game and I played it in 2013 if I remember right. Set on hard but not professional the game is hard as hell but doesn't shit on you for the sake of it. The level designs were amazing, combat felt tighter than it ever did in the sequels and it's also weirdly enough one of the best stories around in video games for what it is. It's simple but very sharp and poignant. Music is 11/10 too.

Also Dead Rising is the peak of zombies in video games. The sequels have all missed the mark by making things easier.

Get Earthbound if you've never played an rpg before besides pokemon
otherwise Super Metroid

F ZERO X
Great music, tight controls, ship variance, decent maps, hard.

>Recommending earthbound

It's like you want him to get cancer or something

Pick up super metroid, you wont regret it

Wasn't scary

amazing taste, user
