Fun fact, It took decades because no one cared about the console enough to crack it.

Look at Xbox one, People cared enough to steal the developers version and crack it after E3 launch.

>See-ga

Lol Brits

How about working on emulation that isnt shit instead

Jesus christ no wonder SEGA failed, they spent more time worrying about someone stealing shit then they did actually producing an easily accessible console.

Their level of DRM sounds like some 80s Military Grade cyberpunk shit.

Infact that's some straight up Johnny Mneumonic shit.

and they did a full 180 on the Dreamcast's DRM

>there are people that have never hard modded a console
Pirates have it too easy nowadays.

But I still have my Saturn, and I installed a modchip in it years ago. The Saturn is probably the most underappreciated game console to ever be released. It's truly a great system that didn't get the support it deserved.

If you watched the video, you'd know he did help out emulation a ton.

Or you can just emulate.

Saturn was great in the east, but the thing was fucking barren in the anglosphere

You cant because saturn emulation is shit

>the modchip literally requires only one wire to be soldered onto the PSU
>ABLOO BLOO IT REQUIRES SOLDERING

I'm not denying that this thing is a major breakthrough for the Saturn, although there are more seamless ways to circumvent the system's DRM. I'd be more excited if someone found a better way to run Dreamcast games off of an SD card. Currently your options are either a really slow adapter that plugs into the serial port, or an adapter that replaces the entire disc drive and has no GUI.

>not using pseudo Saturn

my friend begged me to buy a saturn when I was a kid, i bought a playstation instead. a few months later when it bombed he hocked his saturn at a pawn store

>buy an Action Replay cart
>flash it with Pseudo Saturn
>lose all the AR's features except region unlock

Th-thanks.

are there any saturn games worth playing?

It's such a shame. The Saturn did well in Japan and it didn't need to bomb in the US. Sega of Japan got cocky and believed that since they finally found success in Japan, they should start bossing around SOA and making them do stupid shit like launching the Saturn at E3 with no games, 1/4 of the inventory they needed and no idea what Sony's price on the PSX was going to be.

...

how many of these haven't been ported to more easily accessible systems though? because of those top 5, only panzer dragoon hasn't be rereleased on something else

>crack it after E3 launch.
Stop spouting misinformation. The NAND was dumped but it's pretty much useless. Basically they're still in square one
