That final boss is possibly the worst thing ever, I still don't really know what you are meant to actually do there and how to actually make it happen with those god-awful controls. Obviously it should be just another "collect rings, hit boss" Super Sonic fight like all the others before it in the franchise, but it just feels so off in practice that it's absurd.

Unleashed is the best 3D game in the series by far and one of all my time favorite games. BK was a massive improvement over SR and the story and characters were rad. Nu Sonic just doesnt do it for me but I put up with it. Disliked colors and lost world but the modern half of generations was fun, as is the boom cartoon

No they're not. There is no federal law, statute or mandate (or otherwise) that requires them to pursue reviewing every game. What they choose to do is their own volition and only arbitrated by what their boss says they must do and only at the cost of their jobs. Otherwise, it becomes a civil case of forcing someone to say something they don't believe. But that's another can of worms.

Day stages are the best sonic levels ever made and will never ever be topped and the night stages are a fun change of pace

This new Madio and Sonic Olympics is very lackluster this year, especially on Wii U. The series was designed around he use of the Wii motion controls, now it's just pressing buttons.

There aren't even dream events either, instead we three "dual events" for soccer, rugby sevens and beach volleyball. The unlockable characters are only avaliable for one sport each. (Nabbit for 100m, Sticks for Archery, Jet for soccer, etc)

At least the Olympics this year is going to suit the game, as we will all be disappointed by the amount of athletes dying from Zika on the running track.
