Really? NT god-tier?

It's a pile of shit. It runs at 30fps, the "juice" and SFX are abrasive as fuck and the art looks bland and low detailed.

I played gungeon before i played NT and it was like going from 2015 to 2005.

update 99 never ever

Is enter the gungeon good?

What about faster than light?

I heard darkest dungeon is very repetitive.

you from lite?

Wtf? NT is a god tier game. Perfect soundtrack and fun gameplay.
The diversity of characters and enemys is outstanding and not to mention its replay value.
I bet you are a fag who dies at the first fucking boss.

FtL is great fun. After you spend the 10 minutes or so to learn how the game plays it's a blast.
Still can't beat it though.

>Gungeon
yeah, it's good. But don't expect Nuclear Throne, it's a lot different. It's a tad slower and a little more high stakes. Difficulty ramps up a lot quicker, and since you are limited in how much life you can start with, can get silly. It also doesn't reward you for combat with drops like NT, which can burn some people out or just flat out end a fucking run. Still, the art style is great, and there is enough variety in the weapons that it's still an enjoyable game. I like both. (Sessions of Gungeon are a LOT longer than NT though)

>Faster Than Light
absolutely. It's my favorite game. I got 100 hours out of it before the update, 50 with the update, and another 30 with a mod. It's easy to just engross yourself into it. Hence why I like Captains Edition mod, as it gives you some moral choices that aren't present in the game.

But enough about mods. I love this game to fucking death. Unlocking ships and taking new playstyles like boarding, or aiming for oxygen or whatever, is extremely rewarding. I love it.

>Darkest Dungeon
Yeah, it gets repetitive. But if you take it in smaller chunks it's a good time killer because it takes a while to get to the end. (I haven't.) If it seems like your thing, then get it it's fun. If it doesn't, you probably won't enjoy it.

Another gem I found this sale is Dungeon of the Endless. Cute little indie title with a tower defense aspect. It's a lot of fun.

>Shill Detected
Also can we agree that god-tier is a meme?
It seriously makes me cringe when people say it.

Post that FTL mod kiddo. There's really not a lot out there and I'll take anything I can get.
It's a shame too, I would love some custom races or something.

Sorry mate, NT used to be god tier but since vlambeer dropped support its pretty shit.
The unofficial mod for online co-op has pretty much showed them up.

Dungeon of the Endless is fantastic only steam game I actually purchased
otherwise great opinions, disagree a little with Gungeon in terms of difficulty since it really isn't as bad as people say but I only do co-op so my experience is different.

This is Spacechem.
Play it faggot.

>he's so euphoric that using Godly as an adjective triggers him

Oh man you haven't heard of the Captain's Edition Mod?

Strap the fuck in man. You're in for a wild ride of weapons, features, and world building

Well I don't consider Gungeon necessarily hard, but I find it to be a little unforgiving at times with how it handles loot. I wouldn't mind if they added a mode that did away with chest spawns and it was nothing but random drops (albeit at less ammo to keep things fair.)

Thanks user, I'll be sure to check it out.

Stardew Valley is one of the few games I pirated, loved, and bot literally like 2 days later. The mod base is staggering, it's happy and whole sum, and it's just a really good game for someone as anxiety prone as me. It's still getting updated and is getting online multiplayer here soon.

Iji. Currently number 5 in my top ten favorite video games.

a klassic

>No Shovel yet

who else does dual wield Black Swords with Steroids on CO-OP

got Eternal God a few weeks back, 400 hours

mfw i look at Rebirth

I hope ed fixes the keeper in ab+, his unlockables are bad.

This one is a given, with LISA the Painful being my personal pick.

What sucks is that I'm the anxious sort and I still worry about wasting time.

It's a perfect, stop by and play for about 10 minutes after work kinda game.
It's like harvest moon, and you do all your tasks in the time you have in each in game day.
So when you get hope you can just open it up, play through one day which is about 10 minutes and go on with your day.
It's a nice, quick cool down game.

Crypt of the Mother Fucking Necrodancer.
Do you like fucking 10/10 soundtracks?

Then how about a fucking awesome rhythm based dungeon crawler put to that sound track with awesome and well design enemy attack patterns?

Fuck man I can't believe I almost skipped this in the steam sale

who else cant wait until release?

hotline miami 1 and 2 had decent trailers, but this piece of shit wouldnt know what a good trailer is if it farted on its face and did a backflip on the palm of its hand

i hope it turns out great, i want more suicide line california

I love this game

Tetris
Oregon Trail
Nethack
Dorf fort

It's fun and I want to love it more but I'm so bad, I'm so fucking bad at this game.

dungeons of dredmor is really fucking good.

Tabletop simulator is really fun as well, have 400 hours on it and can easily see myself putting 1000 if I want to.

That's okay user, I'm garbage at it too. God only knows how many skeletons I've let kill me.

The important thing is to have fun with it

Fuck red dragons. They runied so many runs.

ENTER THE GUN

LOL

I think dungeon co-op is much better than playing singleplayer. When you play by yourself enemy health ramps up way too quickly and it can be super boring unless you get some good weapons. Although they get even more health in co-op I feel like having twice as many bullets on the screen makes a big difference in time to kill. Especially if you get a guy like robot who's default gun is pretty great and just needs some passives to support your cultist buddy.

I love my pixel art and ASCII undoubtedly looks cool but like, I can't help but be kind of intimidated.

It's a bit hard to learn at first, but the manual explains things well, and then the rules become pretty intuitive.

Man I love these games but they are some tough shit. I was always bad at them and never finished the first one

Skullgirls is pretty great, no lie.

Skullgirls is great, it's just not the most active game because casuals don't 'get' it. As a fighter though, it's pretty good.

Oh same, it took me months to even beat the first level of BIT.TRIP BEAT when it first come out, and even then I can never beat the final level on the Wii version because of the motion control. 3DS/PC version, I'm good at tho.

>casuals don't 'get' it
it's Marvel lite, what's not to get

Fairly new, but already one of my favorite games ever. Fair difficulty entirely dependent on how much you learn the enemy patterns and how they interact with yours. So nice to look at, hear, and play.

>lolfucku optional 800 chain dash challenge

Stopped playing a long time ago because of the 30 FPS.

This shit is dope as fuck with 3 friends local.

necrodancer is good, but there's literally no difficulty curve at all, just a bunch of ridiculous spikes. the gap between melody and aria mode is fucked, not to mention how much more difficult stage 4 is than the rest.

get out of here dave lang

who

After you kill the past with one character you do get the optiion to run the dungeon with 9 curse which "supposedly" ramps up your luck and basically chests every other swarm but it's hit or miss also, and another way you can play the game is a blessed run and have access to every game per minute but it's a matter of preference I do agree sometimes the loot can be complete garbage especially with Hunter

FTL is a very advanced pachinko machine
it's addictive

if?

the OG right here

I just found this a few minutes ago.

>aw man, those bats and skeletons are cute
>I wonder what the concept art of them looks lik-

That's not a bad looking game honestly. Art style is nice.

Before the Echo, as it's called now after a legal dispute a year and a half ago, is probably my favorite game on Steam right now. It's a bit short, but it has really great beats from Ronald Jenkees and a few other artists, and the characters (especially the bosses) are pretty well-written. It's a Beatmania-style game, but it has stuff like RPG elements and a synthesizing system in it to make the game unique.

Not to mention it's only $5 on Steam, so it's more than worth it.

>Skullgirls

That game is way too fucking hard. I play better at USFIV than Skullgirls.

kys samefag

Just started playing that today, and I can't believe I didn't start it up earlier.

...

these 2bqh

I legitimately can't be bothered to take a screenshot of my post to prove otherwise.

Can you just pretend I did and respond in a way that points out I could have just erased the (You)? thanks

>Cave Story

Did anyone like that new Kero game?

I'm being serious.

it's a really solid mobile game, but it's no cave story 2. plz pixel ;_;

>it's a really solid mobile game
wat.

ios version is better
because I haven't played the pc version

God fucking damn it. I hate it when devs make a mobile version. Just cheapens the experience imho.

I normally would agree, but kero blaster is perfect for it.

>iOS version is 5.99
>Steam version is 9.99

Can someone explain to me why Steam is more expensive than the other?

...

nigga are you retarded

I don't know. Can you explain to me why the Steam version is more expensive?

Oh man, the plot for this game is like endearing levels of absolutely retarded.

because touch screen controls will never be as good as a keyboard. Because pc and ios games are targeted towards different audiences, with casul faggots who only 'game' on their iphones unwilling to pay as much as pc cucks. Because the game was developed for pc and ported to ios.

>dropped support
What? Source?

I don't agree with that. So you release the game with the same content for both platforms but give iOS users a favor by literally giving it half the price than the PC version? That's bullshit. If the iOS mobile version had less features and maybe the graphics more shit than I would be ok with that.

But simply having touchscreen controls to bring the price cheaper? Fuck that.

Because there is more competition on mobile. Even 10 bucks is too much there, not to mention the game is short.
Sweet game though.

Yeah, they should have priced the game also 5.99. Sorry indie devs don't agree with that at all. Not 10 bucks.

it's because pc players are willing to pay 10 while mobile friends are not. simple as that girlfriend.

I always thought it was the other way around with Kero blaster.

...

But PC players are willing to pay 5.99 though, explain that?

Winner right here. Game was so endearing.

>sales platform notorious for putting out numerous seasonal sales
>versus a sales platform notorious for rarely having consequential sales

Just finished Steamworld Dig. Pretty damn fun game. My only real complaint is that there's zero cosmetic changes as the game progresses.

Playing Steamworld Heist now and it's pretty dang good.

>go through thread
>no bastion
i'm disappointed in you

almost checked
