I'm going to clue you in right now as to how DA:2 is the best game in the Dragon Age franchise. First, let's begin by asking ourselves who the biggest menaces are within the confines of the DA universe. Who are they? It's the mages - literal Dindus susceptible to demonic possession 24/7. They can shoot fireballs from their eyes and bolts of lightning from their arse in addition to taking deals from Pride Demons because of #magelivesmatter. In DA:2 you can fuck over mages at every turn. You can kill them, you can rat on them, you can piss off mage companions, and you can side with Meredith who literally did nothing wrong. DA2 is the only game to properly address the mage menace and give you the options to holocaust them as nature intended.

Bethany is boring as shit, and becomes downright rude to your character later on, especially if you turn her into a Warden.

The only bad part of Inquisition was the main character and Hinterlands/MMO-tier quests. The companions and design were way better than DAII, as was the story even if it was shit.

That makes no sense to me. Being a Grey Warden is a privilege, and they're heroes. She can practice magic of any sort, without getting hunted by Templars. Being stuck in the circle is stifling, and she can even die in the final act as a circle mage.

If you treated one of them like a crazy person, they would become more crazy. If you treated them decently, they would have been decent. Rather than just 'everyone is crazy all the time.' Letting the player have an influence on the story.
It would have also reinforced the message they were trying to push. That childlike 'the mages are only bad because we treat them badly' logic.

I've been playing through DA:O, and played a bit of DA2. I liked DA2 combat a lot, what's so bad about it? I head most romances are homo, but that's not a big deal for me since I just skip romances.

Rival companions is one of the greatest mechanics for an rpg and I'll repeat this until the day I die. Most rpgs reward you for pandering to companions and just sociopathically manipulating them by saying what they want to say but rivalry friendship does away with that.

DA:I is alright. Character creator is pretty good, and every single male companion is a bro. The open world side quest stuff is shit though, and the main story is generic as hell. Combat is a good balance between DA:O and DA2.

She's only partly to blame. The Qunari were there because they couldn't leave without the book, but they became so disgusted with the behavior they saw in Kirkwall that they eventually just started murdering everyone.

Even the Qun wound up proclaiming what they did was wrong, though.

I can't play as an asshole, and even though I can play as a Qunari, I have the same voice and mannerisms as literally every other race. I get that I don't play as one that follows the Qun, but what's the point of being a Qunari if I can't act like a Qunari?

The Dragon Age series and Bioware in general are one of the biggest tragedies in gaming. Origins was a near-masterpiece and the company was doing so well and for the subsequent games and the DA sequels to be as shit as they was really is a shame.

it's super obviously rushed, the story is ass with multiple plot holes and a forced rushed asspull ending, most of the assets are reused to the point of absurdity(locations) and tedium(encounters), it butchers a few returning characters from DA1 and DA1:O, it squanders the setting to keep you sucking dick in the same city to keep reusing those assets for the entire game and if you missed it the story is in the same realm of retarded as Mass Effect 3's ending

And of course being the sequel to a pretty tight game like DA1 is salt in the wound.
