bump

...

Aerannis, yes the name is fucking dumb

tfw stalker pretty much is a hidden gem at this point

America - A Horse With No Name

BUMP BUMP BUMP BUMP

I swear there's someone else who likes it.

never heard of it, I'll look it up

Is that the new Savage? How is that? Really enjoyed the first one, but I don't want to risk buying the new one still in Early Access, specially considering right now there are 3 players online.

It's very much like the first. Devs are very based, gave out some keys that last until EA ends which I grabbed, they make major updates every few days and they listen. It's really good.

post your gems then user

That's really good to know. Hope it turns out well when it releases. Not the biggest fan of S2 because of how they managed HoN, but Savage was a really good game.

What's the story with HoN? Never played it.

I think Sony has the rights to Draken at this point so I don't think a patched up Steam version would happen.

Shit is so good, game world is so massive. I mean shit this game came out in 99, compare that to other games from that time and tell me this shit is not impressive as hell.

Even the PS2 only sequel is good but it's smaller in scope and a little more action than the more exploration driven first game

is it possible to play on win 10?

A bunch of fuck ups. Their founder (Maliken) was a retard who raged and flamed everyone ingame, banned people who disagreed with him, buffed/nerfed shit that he liked/dislike, etc. Then there was the F2P switch when Dota 2 stole all its players, and it had a pretty shitty business model, with early access to OP heroes to people who paid money. I think since then they abandoned it and began working on their next MOBA, Strife, which was DoA. There was a lot of mismanagement and retarded decisions made on that game, but it was still pretty fun, though I'll always remember the retards who manage the company.

Yup, install from iso, install the community patch (google it it pop right up) and it runs great. KB&M only though

WHHHOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

SAVAGE!

youtube.com/watch?v=b8NDwMqaGWA

damn. Does he still work there? That fucking sucks.
Thanks man. Is it not designed for KB+M?

Yes it is, I mean I got no issue with KB&M but I've tried to turn others onto it and they are not into the idea of a 50hr long RPG with KB&M.

Even I wish it had gamepad support if only to sit back on my comfy sofa and my surround sound setup to play a little. Granted I know you got those boards for KB&M to be used on a sofa but at that point i'll just move back to the desk

Someone else here must have played this

He probably does. He is the founder of S2 after all. Still, as long as the game turns out well, it should be fine, and I have hopes that they're turning the company around. The nature of HoN, being pretty much a Dota port, was why they did so many dumb decisions and mistakes, but Savage is something they already know and created, so there are less chances for them to screw shit up.

it's pretty fun
wouldn't exactly call it a hidden gem considering it's featured in /egg/ though

Fuck. Any screencaps of him doing that shit?

I actually bought a ps1 for this game but never actually played it. I got spyro the dragon instead and do not regret it

NaissanceE is so underrated.

Searching 'S2 Maliken' on Google gives a lot of examples of him being a retard ingame. Here's one of those.

Had it and beat it. I liked it as a kid but recently watched a let's play of it and the game looks pretty fucking awful. Could have been another great series with some polish imo

>tfw the type of job I have would have me black listed across the globe if I ever said that shit

It was better than 3 since I wasn't bored to death. Also the factions actually had something unique about them.

The fuck is his problem? Is this what autism is?

The only racing game I've ever really loved.

I actually don't like racing games, what makes it different?

Out of my way, plebs.

There's a reason not many people have played it: The real ending is DLC, the game is like 50% cutscenes and QTE's, and the actual gameplay is shallow and reptitive.

But, in terms of presentation, art design, music, characters (both design, voice acting, and personality/writing), the story, the just sheer stupidity of how over the top it is, it's an absolute spectacle.

You like over the top action anime? How does DBZ x god of war X g gundam x Gurren lagann sound? The game is absolutely fucking absurd and it will take you on the wildest god damn ride if you can apperciate it as an interactive anime rather then a game.

The game starts out with you jumping off a spaceship in the middle of a massive battle, hurtling through the eart's atmosphere, and bunching a monster the size of north america in the face, and that's not even in the top 5 most insane things that happen in the game. It's probably not even in the top 10.

Seriously,, just watch it on youtube at least if you don't want to play it, that's what I did, and here I am 600$ out from buying every artbook I can find for it and fawning over it on an imageboard

what is it?

>that's what I did, and here I am 600$ out from buying every artbook I can find for it and fawning over it on an imageboard

how

that's pretty depressing

if your autistic enough to have problems with the new starfox i have bad news for you

game?

Oh good, one of these.

Obscure, or ObsCure if you're a weirdo. Best Resident Evil clone I've played, made by the French.

Great levels, fantastic soundtrack, terrible art direction, controls actually pretty well. Has fixed camera angles but no tank controls, so you're pretty flighty.

youtube.com/watch?v=_TGlPR48Ins

Just one caveat: there's this dumbass co-op mechanic. You don't have to use it. Just stick to a character, leave the rest back at the hub outside of the like, 2 places where you need a second pair of hands to reach a vent or something.

Also on Steam. Use a gamepad.

store.steampowered.com/app/254460/

>terrible art direction
I meant terrific.

I was thinking of the co-op mechanic when I wrote that. Seriously, don't use it, the AI is fucking braindead.

A; I really fucking loved it. It was like I was 7 years old again discovered DBZ for the first time. It's easily in my top 3 games of all time despite the fact I haven't even played the damn thing just based on how much fun I had watching it, Hell, I might have even liked it less if I had to slog through the gameplay, which nobody has praised.

B: the game has an absurd amount of artbooks. There's one that comes with the limited edition, there's a dgital one that comes in a steelbook, there's a "official perfect works" that is the only one with an english release, and then there's 8 behind the scene magazines. There's also 2 manga volumes.

Essentially, capcom thought this would be a huge new IP for them and is why Megaman legends 3 got cancelled, to put funding into this, but the game bombed super hard.

I remember being hype for this as a kid but it turned out bad. Does it still require sixaxis? what was wrong with is? sixaxis was the weirdest feature, why did sony have it? what games even used it?

PROPER SEQUEL ON PS4 FUCKING WHEN?!

>why did sony have it?
"Innovation" was a big thing at the time.
>what games even used it?
I remember that Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time had a few sections where you could optionally use it, along with a few other launch titles.

It was a stupid fucking feature.

No, really.

...

Sup Forums knows about this game, but I rarely see it mentioned anywhere else. I'd also like to mention Gunman Chronicles.

It's made by the same guys who made Twisted Metal and it plays like a mix of that and SSX/SSX3 or Tony Hawks Undergound
.
It's also really loose in terms of realism, especially for a sports game, which is a main source of the games awesomeness.

I've hit a ramp at the same time I hit a speed boost power-up and jumped over a helicopter hovering ~150 feet in the air while doing 17 front flips and 23 other tricks all at the same time, then landed without a hitch from a 200 foot fall, and then pegged the 2 racers ahead of me with heat-seeking water bottles I got as a reward for the tricks for instant kills putting me squarely in first place.

In terms of speed, you can go from 0 to 60 mph in under a few seconds and there's a ton of power-ups that speed you along as well.

The maps are extremely vertical with a ton of alternate routes as well a "black diamond" challenge routes that give you points as long as you're on them. They're all loosely based on real life locations too.
There's a Volcano in Hawaii where you can ride in lava, a Siberian Military Base, etc.

The characters are all stereotypes like in SSX. You got a rich British ponce, big Samoan brawler guy, thrill-seeking American base-jumper, etc.

There's a ton of unlockables too like real life BMX racers and even a Sci-Fi movie monster. You can also unlock Sheep and Llama's to ride in place of a bike.

Check out this video

It's a decent example of the game, it's being played a litttle slow though.

I'm so mad they're now forced to make dishonored now. It fucking sucks in comparison. What's up with every game in this series being completely different?

Oh cool

Oh, and the game has coop split screen support for up to 4 players.

tfw I cant get a comfy KBM on couch set up

why was it bad?

more

anyone?

Light Bodies.

google isnt helping

I know it bro I tried a few times now.

How the fuck do people do it?

I don't know man, even if you get comfy with it the text scaling on older pc games blows so you are not reading shit from a sofa

You know those tables you get in hospitals so patients can eat while laying in bed? Something like that.

You're beyond help.

>Gunman
Thank god, im not the only one

are there any keys left anywhere? I really want to try it but S2 has burned me on both Savage and Savage 2 by going f2p and or making the game just shitty.

Literally Blame! the video game

Lethal League is pretty fun is you have some friends to play it with.

And if I don't?

Meteos

Go make some. It has zero single player content, but you can try to find a match against someone.
I was never able to, so you're kinda fucked if you don't have any friends to play with,

this is a great game, very surreal, reminds me of a dark mirrors edge crossed with antichamber.

Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage. It released very late in the N64's cycle, looked like shit even at the time, and the gameplay was plodding. But the worldbuilding, story, characters were all fantastic - I really wish it had been done as an isometric game in the style of Baldur's Gate.

check the pinned thread on the forums, I dont know

What makes it worse is knowing Bethesda bought them and still didn't bring over their combat expertise to TES.

Every day I ask myself why this game isn't on more people's radare.

One last webm that I think encapsulates the game's sense of stupid over the top action perfectly

Oh shit it this the mercury game on psp? I loved that shit.

I played the first game, the one that people are always talking about. It was okay, dug the 2.5D design, the enemy designs were that special brand of complete trash that you saw in the likes of Blinx the Timesweeper or Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure.

How does this one hold up?

so why does this game click for you?

Best fucking JRPG.

I have a thing for stupid over the top action that knows how fucking dumb it's being but doesn't care.

It's like all the best parts of DBZ without any of the bad parts, but with 20x the sense of scale. You start out punching monsters the size of continents, and end off shrugging off stars being thrown at you and fighting reality warpers inside of black holes

If none of what i''ve said excites you or the webm doesn't make you smile at least a little bit, then maybe it's not for you. But if you like shonen, Chinese kung fu movies, toku, or super robo, then the game's for you. .

you should get Neir

is this ever getting another sequel?

dark souls

>tfw using warhawks to get to the secret weapon armory on top of the two skyscrapers

Iji.

I loved the first Savage and I still have a CD-R of it in my desk with the CD key written on it. My first digital game purchase, come to think of it.

They eventually made humans way too good, though. The melee range nerf was the final nail in the coffin.

i dont think ive ever seen it discussed on Sup Forums

It fucking hurts when a game you love is a masterpiece and nobody will even give it a shot

Just got this running a few days ago on Win10. As long as you install all the patches (+ the one community patch) and use dgVoodoo it works fine.

I wonder how much longer we are gonna be able to run these old PC games without needing a full blown windows emulator. At this point you need a DX wrapper to get a lot of the older games to run right on Win10. Plus if the old game used EAX or anything like that you gotta use a EAX wrapper.

At some point a full blown emulator is gonna be needed for win98 games

Haven't had this much fun with a game in a while, the vehicle variety is amazing and the feel of the weapons is great except for the Lockdown, that piece of shit really needs a buff.
Really like the soundtrack too
youtube.com/watch?v=3RK3C8JWEn8

explain the game mechanics in like 15 words

This game was a lot of fun, and never really got all that popular as far as I can tell.

I really want to like it but it's just too much for me.
I can't be assed to design all that stuff

i've literally never seen this game posted here, or anywhere else for that matter.

Steve, Bill, Langley and Big Bill?

UNATCO?

huh
