At least we'll actually have some games to play
>>344978113
That's neat, actually. What are the 30 games, I wonder?
It's probably nothing like an actual NES, and it's just gonna emulate. It's like the ones SEGA did a couple years back.
>yfw it's Action 52
Zelda, Zelda II, Mario, Lost Levels, Doki Mario Panic, Metroid, and a bunch of irrelevant forgotten shovelware.

I never understood the appeal of these things. At least when chinese bootleggers did it I could see the idea of trying to profit off someone else's work but something like this or the sega ones that have been around for years, I mean kids today aren't gonna want those games and if they do they'll play them on VC or just emulate them.
shit list, at least make it hundred something, just 30 is just insulting to us even if it for muh nostalgia sake, better off using emulator
>59.99
No thanks, I'll just buy one of those chinese "3000 games in one" for 10 bucks.
will it have backwards compatibility and be region free?
>"DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN WE WERE AWESOME 20 YEARS AGO?"
Nintendo is a sad company.
Aw shit, no Megaman 1. It's really hard to find here. At least they have Ninja Gaiden 1.
>no Tetris
>Castlevania 2 and not 3
>Mega Man 2 without 3
>Shitty Punch Out
>Zelda II
All the LJN games
Is it going to replace the Wii U?
>no cartiges
why even buy it. it's just a raspberry pi with 30 roms on it.
>its a shitty piece of hardware that emulates roms
Nintendo has really gone to shit
>HDMI only
I was thinking of hooking this up to my CRT, but I guess I'm gonna have to buy an HDMI to AV adapter for that

>emulation
ITS OK WHEN NINTENDO DOES IT
who the shit is this for?
Well I already have all of those games.
On my actual damn NES.
Damn thats disappointing I was hoping they would have more than that.
Why the fuck is Nintendo playing the nostalgia card so fucking much
What's the fucking point when you can buy a Wii for $40-$50 and homebrew it for NES emulation, you can even install NES vc titles for free.
lol
>mm1
>hard to find
>can get it from VC
>it's on that Mega Man Collection thing that was released a few months ago, as well as every Mega Man anthology released ever
Because it works and it makes them a lot of money.
>No Castlevania 3
>Only Mega Man 2
>Final Fantasy over any Dragon Warrior/Quest
At least it's only a shitty plug play.
All that fucking effort YAWN.
Just buy this mini NES :^)
Super C, but no regular Contra?
The shitty version of Punch-Out?
Call me when Sega does this officially.
>no cartridges
>no RCA
>can't use real NES controllers
Fuck that.
On the other hand, I'd buy a brand new NES even for $100. Same for SNES.
Nintendo has been doing this for over 10 years now, have you been living under a rock? Hell, now every major company does it and nobody cares.
This bait is low quality.
Nintendo found another way to wrestle money out of 30+ year old nostalgic manchildren
You really cant expect them to get Mike Tyson's likeness again can you?
>this was NX all along
>The shitty version of Punch-Out?
It's the same shit.
But they already did, several times.
This is so fucking stupid
How much?
Why not just using an actual NES? I mean, you are willing to play on an old TV, might as well just play on the original hardware.
My 6 year old niece wouldn't know a shit about emulators or VC. She played a shit ton of Sonic on one of those $30 Sega TV systems though.
Because "omg, such a nerd" fags and normies eat that shit up. Just look at Pokemon GO's huge success.
Nintendo is in absolute madmen mode right now.
Someone stop them before they lose their minds!
>*Note that an AC adapter for the USB cable is required to play the system but is not included in the packaging.
I got like 4 just laying around unused.
>Nintendo is in absolute madmen mode right now.
You're right, we're like 6 months away from the NX release and we still don't know SHIT about it. If they wanna hype their new console, they better start talking about it now. It's a fucking video game console, not a goddamn secret Area 51 project.
1. Get a secondhand Wii for 20 eurodollars
2. Put Homebrew on it
3. Play NES games through the virtual console
James, relax
My guess is that a third party is going to make this. Same with the Genesis plug and play bullshit.
you're only paying 60 dollars for it user
Does it take NES games? are they planning on reprinting NEW carts? that slot looks like it's too small for original NEW carts. those controller ports also look nothing like the controller ports from an NES.
Is this just one of those plug and play 30 games in one things they sell at wal mart for $20?
>100 dollarydoos for a bunch of roms
Can't you literally make these yourself for way cheaper?
Please be the original hardware not just emulated.
I hope it happens with SNES too, would be to run Yoshi's Island/Mario World etc on the original hardware with HDMI support.
SD-card-and-ROM-selector-mod WHEN
It's $60
dollarydoos if money from down undah
and ere its round 100 of them doos, ya understand ya dumb cunt?
>Please be the original hardware
it's a raspi
Maybe with some quality control this one will actually be worth the price. Honestly, people spend more money acquiring actual vintage consoles and games, this thing is fucking adorable, I would want it just to display it.
>the people on twitter are actually excited about this
I feel bad for you, you poor censored cuck
Why would someone buy this?
>Hillary will win in the U.S
>Calling others cucks
You will literally have a cuck president
60$
If you don't have a Wii/3DS/Wii U and want to play classic NES games
How about when its released, and then when it opened up and IF its confirmed it reads its data from a sdcard?
The nx releases in 6 months.

>if you don't have a wii/3ds/wiiu/pc/xbox/psp/ds/ps2/ps3/360/tablet/anymoderntechatall and want to play classic nes games
ftfy
You can play NES games on a lot more than that.
ITS OK WHEN NINTENDO DOES IT
>buying this when you could get a used Wii Mini for the same price and use it as your general emulation machine (if you don't want to just use your PC) instead of being locked to 30 NES games
I don't understand.
>pc/xbox/psp/ds/ps2/ps3/360/tablet/anymoderntechatall
user... you can't buy NES games on any of that.
Right like an NES and SNES but you can't buy games (from Nintendo) on them.
if it played nes carts i would have bought this...as of now no..
>emulation
>herr don't buy this $100 NESS get a $500-1000 computer instead
Emulator is free.
Sega did the same thing a while back. I think they provide a thrid-party with some license and the third-party basically builds an emulator with a bunch of roms on it.
they had to use the shitty version of punch out, to be fair
This. At least our leader is the bull.
Buying a Wii Mini and 30 NES roms would be more than $60.
if you aren't gaming on PC anyway you should neck yourself
Instant purchase if this is one of the game.
The emulated version is just fucked, from the title screen to the fireball section, it's not authentic.
Most people already have a computer that can emulate that shit. Your fucking phone can do it
Mega Drive version was better.
wtf where are my yous
NES emulation could be done on a 10-year-old netbook.
How much is this thing?
A 20$ raspberry pi can do exactly everything this box does, except allowing you to play ALL the NES games, including ones with special chips and famicom disk system.
Also it can do snes, gb,gba,playstation..
What, you think this won't be emulated?
>Copy the japanese version and remove half the obstacles in the game
>Ruin the controller
>Better
Silence, child. You know not what you speak of.
>no paperboy
smhtbqhfamalam
Both Sega and Namco have pulled this many times over.
I wonder how this little guy connects to a TV though.
I'd buy an SNES version of this if it came with maybe 50 games or so
I wish they could focus on Wii U instead...
>all the rare nes game collectors face when
It might, but it wouldn't be expensive to built a hardware native system.
Not bad
Still would it cool if they had a USB at the back when you plug in and download packs of NES games for free?
They make pretty good family gifts. The boxes are good for people like my parents who have fond memories of specific consoles but not enough know how to set up a emulator on the pc.
That said if they made a SNES one with some really good third party games (stuff like chrono trigger) I'd buy one for myself.
No official word yet.
It probably cost them next to nothing to build those. I really want to see the guts of this piece of trash.
I bet it's literally a Pi with some additional buttons.
