That was the best GBA handheld if it had the SP backlight mod in it. Then it goes the Backlight SP>Micro>OG SP>OG GBA. You can put the GBA player for the GC somewhere in there but I never used one.

Golden Sun was only popular because it was the only JRPG the GBA had for about a year, and that was only because Square was tied to making games for the Wonderswan Color in Japan at the time.

Golden Sun is the most generic JRPG out there and there's zero reason to play it. It sucked in 2001 and it sucks now.

It's not the best game, but you're underselling it way too much. It was worth completing at the very least, even if it could have been better.

Sugar's character cares about the MC though, even if originally it was just her making a promise to the MC's dad.

There's no denying some of the best games in Gen7 was exclusive to the PSP user.

It isn't. It's a JRPG designed for beginners, but that was arrogance on Square's part since Western RPG gamers were already used to games that were far more sophisticated than regular Final Fantasies.

Golden Sun is babby's first JRPG because it was designed for a system for children that had little to play aside from F-Zero in 2001. F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is far more worthwhile of a game than Golden Sun.

Spent like 250 hours on this when I was 13. Was upset when I had to find someone to trade with to get last like 5% to beat.

GP Legend is the worst GBA F-Zero, user.

And yes, all three GBA F-Zero games are more worthwhile than Golden Sun.

game is literally the reason I purchased a GBA, and the reason I kept my GBA after trading everything else when I got my DS.

It might not be that good, but it's still a really fun game and I can see someone sinking a full 24 hours worth of play into this pretty easily.

I crossed out only the games that are without a shadow of a doubt ports.

I really wanted to cross out N+, the GTA games and all the other low effort barely not ports but held myself back.

Then on top of that we have a bunch of games that are dubious shat-out "sequels" or "___ - but portable!" like the ace combat X games.

250 hours guy here. Played any disgaea? I tried some on my psp but it felt way too grindy for me, is it worth trying again or even on vita if I get one?

A Link to the Past and Super Mario Bros. 3 on GBA are better than they are on the SNES.

Get the Tactics Ogre : Let Us Cling Together remake. It's fucking insanely underrated.

Literally the best "tactics" game I've ever played, and I've sank hundreds of hours into FFT, FFTWotL, FFTA, FFTA2, Disgaea, etc.
