op abilities
*teleports behind you*
and the blade's animation
Kind of stagnated towards the end, but otherwise none
Too short
Punished you for assassinations
It did not.
If anything, I felt the game rewarded me for assassinations with a suitably bleak ending.
Grafix.
Way too short for the price
You have no right as an AAA dev to charge 50-60$ for a 5-6 hour game with no multiplayer or other features that extend the playability of the game
It can be completed in 4 hours and the teleportation power is hyper OP
The chaos system is simplistic. No kicks. Relative lack of utility powers. No real sound design.
5-6 hours for each playthrough. You can do up to 3 playthroughs, finding new things as you go on (middle-of-the-road, pacifist, murderous) before you get bored. 15 hours. Then you have the Dunwall City Trials, which easily adds a solid 5 hours at the very least. Then you have the first Daud DLC - another 15 hours. Then you have the second Daud DLC - another 15 hours.
It had the typical stealth game flaws where in order to be the best stealth assassin you must forego the fun chaotic stuff.
I want Corvo to murder people with his teleportation and rats but ended up spending my time hiding on rooftops waiting for the guard to look left.
Pic related
5-6 hours is really underselling it. If you properly explore the levels, you're easily looking at a 12 hour game, at least.
This. Blood Money is great because a Silent Assassin run is difficult but fun while going in guns blazing will get you killed in seconds. The combat in Dishonored are too fun to ignore in order to run a full stealth run. But it's still a stealth game and it's better to avoid violence and mayhem where violence and mayhem were done so well.
How is it better.
Overseer, the first level in the game, is better designed than the rest of the game.
Its more open and offers more paths than the other maps.
10 hours long.
>Punished you for assassinations
>Get a different ending for murdering at least over 20% of the population in every mission
>Get more enemies to fight and kill as well
How is the game punishing you? Deus Ex HR punishes you for killing people by giving you less exp for every kill vs knock out. That's punishing you. Dishonored only changes some story things and gives you more guards to murder. That's just acknowledging how you're playing the goddamn game.
Sauce?
Too much shilling on Sup Forums now that the sequel's been announced.
It's not working and you should stop.
I played this game to death, I really hated having to go back to the base and jerk off everytime I finished a mission.
Far blink is cheap and easily the best in the game. You can skip areas and zip right up to balconies and windows you'd normally have to sneak around to. You can time stop past chunks of areas as long as you have enough blueberry crush. And the control power was shit. Maybe if you could control somebody to unlock areas with keys or like, use your powers to take control of a target and make them do something that'll get them killed or arrested would be fun.
Short campaign
Hard DLC achievements
Falling assassinations were a bit tough if you were very high up
Simplistic story (not daud)
Few powers for nonlethal playthrough
But I loved the game enough to 100% it.
It makes people expect Thief when it's more like Dark Messiah if anything.
non autists play through story games 1 time. the game is 5-6 hours long. full price is way too much.
Except one of the main draws of the game is replayability?? You're essentially saying that only a select few enthusiasts ever replay games.
>punished
I liked how it threw more shit at you if you went for a violent and brutal playstyle because it gives you more shit to kill.
>blink makes the game trivial
>good/evil system ruins the game as all you do when you're good is blink and all the fun actions are evil
You do know you can actually kill people and keep the chaos level low?
And that other powers can be used besides blink in a nonlethal way.
Generic boring story
Looks like somebody didn't play the Daud DLC.
you get high chaos for killing everyone
>a game actually makes me face the consequences of my actions! I can't just mindlessly kill everyone!
no NG+ to use your abilities on
How is that a flaw? The game actually acknowledges how you're playing the game and changes the story and events accordingly.
only one is blink shouldn't be in the game. without it game is berry gud
Daud was a pretty cool guy
Game was fine to me, all I know is that I can't wait for 2 to come out
And?
That's a decent length for a stealth sandbox game with a lot of replay value.
FUCKING GAY DELETE THIS
Too many unskippable cutscenes. I guess they are supposed to be disguised loading times, but just show me a loading screen instead of the boat guy every time.
Also cutscene skipping in general takes a bit too long.
>not using the boat guy cutscenes to scope the scenery and plan out your strategy in advance
After three walkthroughs you just want to go fast.
Game aint flawless.... op powers, a bit easy even on very hard and some bad aiming bits.....
BUT .... I have yet to se a game letting you do this shit if you are skillful enough
youtube.com
.
How is that even possible, almost cutscene tier of gameplay.
Save system
No new game plus
No maxing out abilities on one file
Too few non lethal options when dealing with enemies
Offense oriented abilities out the ass that the game punishes you for using
Too short
>How is that even possible
It's possible because Dishonored is literally flawless.
>Offense oriented abilities out the ass that the game punishes you for using
No it doesn't.
holy sh it
>nyo it dussent
Fuck you.
Man that makes my dick so hard.
I always wanted to get this good but never bothered with the pc version.
The best I did on console we getting the mission where you had to take back your base down to 5 minutes. Would've been easier if they didn't keep respawning enemies.
You get the worst ending if you use any of the actually fun shit like razor mines and siccing rats on people.
Great argument.
Very poor introduction. Not enough emotional attachment to the Empress or your daughter before shit hits the fan. If they had spent maybe another twenty, thirty minutes with some carefully designed story elements and subtle innuendo's as to their relationship it would have made the game far better.
I felt no desire to kill anybody because, as often as I am told everyone is a bad person, I never really see them do any evil deeds.
Game's a fucking solid IP though, really great.

I did this myself for no reason, this is med-tier of skill.
Thanks cocksucker.
Blinkity.
Blinkity.
BLINK.
Kek.
>the game punishes you for using
Did we play the same game? The High Chaos ending is fucking amazing. It's the perfect ending. I sometimes actually wish they never made a Dishonored 2 so I could pretend that the Emily dies ending was canon. How exactly does the game punish you?
>I never really see them do any evil deeds
The cocksuckers who framed you? You literally watch them betray you before your very eyes.
That's still pretty kick ass user. Dishonored was always fun for trying to chain kills together like this
You wish.
>download the game from steam with all dlcs few days ago
>about to play it
>hard drive takes a shit
Well fucking shit. That's my only experience with the game so far.
Thx dude.
Don't hit on me queer.
You're not the boss of me.
Nearly perfect.
Only real problem is that the upgrade paths are completely biased in favor of high chaos and lethal playstyles.
A third of the powers (Rats, Shadow Kill, Devouring Swarm, and Bloodthirsty) are only useful for lethal players, and Windblast is hard to use without killing.
Not one power is exclusively useful for nonlethal.
And money is practically useless past the Golden Cat for nonlethal, since the gun, sword, grenades, and spring razors have no use, and the crossbow is rarely used.
>2EZ
>Chaos System is a neat idea but its implementation is a little weird
>How exactly does the game punish you?
Can only play a certain way
More enemies (not that I mind that) that you're getting "bad points" for killing

You're too worthless to merit having a boss.
>can only play a certain way
???
>more enemies that you're getting "bad points" for killing
And bad points do what? They give you a deservedly grim ending for a deservedly grim playthrough.
You mean you wish you could be my boss.
Ok
Did they betray me? How do I know, I have no idea what my relation is with these people. I know they did a coup and blamed me for it- but why am I mad? Who was the Empress to me? Who is Emily? I'm told I'm their protector, and they die, and so I should feel a desire for revenge. The problem is, you are thrust into the very tail end of the plot instead of seeing any of it develop. In order to gain emotional and sentimental attachment to something fictitious you need to let me spend some time with the people you want me to avenge. If they had done so, Lady Caldwell's heart in my hands telling me everyone's deepest secrets would have a FAR more profound impact than it did.
That said, the heart was a perfect narration device- totally original and clever, and genuinely made me feel bad. This emotion could have been amplified if they gave me some time to give a fuck.
Don't project your repressed desires onto me twink.
Fucking straight shit.
Stop.
If you're so concerned about your chaos rating, you should know that you're allowed to kill a good number of enemies before you start getting high chaos.
here. So did I miss out on anything?
Achievement autists like me will know
>???
Either you play a saint or a butcher. It would have been better if only the assassination targets decide what ending you got depending on how you dealt with them, a bunch of mooks shouldn't matter.
Are you trying to talk dirty at me? Its just not doing it for me.
You missed out on an excellent video game.
>Killing people results in a bad ending
Fuck you, let me play how i want without that consequence
You can kill like 15 people in the first dlc mission and ship the guy away and come out with low chaos
See
Speaking of StealthgamerBR

You can be middle-of-the-road, you know. You can still get the Low Chaos ending even after killing people, but you have to keep your killing in moderation.
You have to be 18 or older to post on this website.
A decent Thief inspired games with superpowers and a different story wether you kill everyone or keep to the shadows. Good amount of creativity in killing, good level design if you want to use those powers. Maybe try not to overuse Blink.
Read the thread, most cool things are weaknesses have been pointed out.
By all means fuck off.
it's spelled wrong
wow, totally worth $60!
I got all of the dolls, but really couldn't be fucked to try the other ones in that list.
>having the tallboy fall down on the guy
God damn
*and weaknesses.

One day you will admit who you are, and you will feel better for it.
>paying full price for games on PC.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
wow, totally worth $30!
motion sickness: the game
And you expect me to count how many enemies I'm "allowed" to kill? Either I can play as I want, as it should be it's a game after all, or I'm on a leash and Bethesda can fuck itself.
>kill in moderation
Ya see the problem?
