Why didn't Nintendo make a Mini SNES instead? I love the NES but most games are just too dated, while a lot of SNES games still hold pretty well today. Also I bet most sub 20 people (the target audience of these things) have seen a working SNES at least one in their life.
Joseph Peterson
The whole point of this thing is to make an easy buck off of dumb normalfags, nerd cred losers, and blind fanboys. The NES is more prolific among all three demographics and likely both easier and cheaper to clone properly, so it's no surprise they went for it.
Jace Gray
>dumb normalfags, nerd cred losers, and blind fanboys keep telling yourself you're so much more informed and cultured than everyone else, makes you look great
now when does the frogposting start?
Dylan Edwards
The SNES would be better, everyone 25+ has played SNES and underage fucks would buy for the "le retro game" factor. Also I doubt there's a difference emulating SNES vs the NES, both are going to be done in some $2 ARM chip.
Henry Evans
Oh no, I'm the scummiest of the scum. I'm utterly passive and accepting of far too much.
Nolan Peterson
I see we have the blind fanboy checked off already. Lets see if we get a butthurt redditor or an "idort" while we're at it.
William Moore
>call someone out on their bullshit >they reply in such a manner that makes it difficult for you to even engage them in civilized discourse yeah you too, you old so and so
Justin Thomas
Cost?
The cost of building a weak computer and packaging it with small files it lower than the cost of building a slightly stronger computer and packaging it with slightly larger files.
Liam Harris
Perfect emulation actually requires a fair bit of power. The DS can't even emulate NES games perfectly.
Ian Reed
Gonna be a contrarion and say this seems like a fun device, plus it's only 60 bucks so it's not as if it's a huge investment. I'll pay good money for fun games without the hassle of emulation and setting up my pc in the living room.
Daniel Edwards
>nes emulation >hassle
Ethan Stewart
>nunchuk ports instead of nes ports
Robert Gutierrez
why do people not always have a PC in their living room? why are people confused that PCs can actually just be hooked up to a TV with almost no effort?
Joshua Brown
I didnt expect shut-ins like you to understand that the process of setting up an NES emulator on a television can be a bore when friends are over and you just want to play a quick game of Mario on a cute gaming system.
Luke Hill
I would have bought the shit out of this in 2002.
Dominic Jenkins
>sub 20 >seen a snes at least once >mfw "does it have wifi?"
The sub 20's who bothered to see a snes will be more than familiar with nes Also >mini SNES would have shit tier link to the past >would also bring in far more "nerds, fanboys, cred seekers" >won't have god tier NES graphics
Daniel Lewis
This. I live in an RV and have a 42" TV hooked up to my screenless laptop on my kitchen counter.
Jackson Thompson
All these implications
Isaiah Green
NES is more retro so it kinda has a bit more of a appealing decor factor to it. Like most people have said if this does well, they'll probably do an SNES variant as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if they sell that one for like $100+.
Adrian Scott
Except it can
Gavin Rogers
>paying for roms
Zachary Clark
>it's an user can't deal with his physical and social generacy so he calls people rude things on the Internet episode
Grayson Johnson
>games shouldn't cost money if they're old
Jack Bennett
Have you ever heard the expression "testing the waters"?
Cameron Watson
>he can't softmod a wii
Charles James
The day they'll do a SNES mini you'll complain about no N64 mini and so on.
Lucas Cox
My sister said she might get me one for my birthday, but the selection of games is comparatively shitty.
Oh well at least I could legit own SMB3 now even if it's exactly the fucking same as emulating.
Anthony Smith
This guy is right.
Aaron Stewart
>games shouldn't cost money at all
Oh wait >they don't >keeps on piratin'
Austin Peterson
Wow your friends must be really impatient.
Brayden Sullivan
I wonder how easy these things will be to mod.
Im betting alot of people plan on buying those tiny ass "Raspberry Pi" things and shoving them into these mini NES cases loaded with every NES/SNES/Genesis/etc game ever made.
Dominic Gutierrez
>this seems like a fun device, plus it's only 60 bucks so it's not as if it's a huge investment Atari and Sega have been doing this for ages now, with more than double the library for half the price. Not to mention that they use controllers compatible with the original consoles and one even plays original carts. Fuck it really is true that you drones will eat literally anything Nintendo shits out.
Wyatt James
informed people wouldnt buy this so he is
Josiah Williams
>No famicom version Why
Ayden Fisher
When you have amazing games like Super Mario World, FF4 5 6, Chrono Trigger, A Link to the Past, etc, it's a bit hard to call him wrong and you not a total fucking idiot.
Gavin Reed
Good goy
Alexander Flores
>target audience >sub 20 people lmao the real target audience is manchildren in their 20s and 30s
