It's a great game op. If you liked souls games it's great. Only glaring issue is the framerate. If you have a ps4 and don't have bloodborne you've done something wrong

Yes, it's really good. It has some issues, but nothing that ruins it, sub30 fps (still very playable) and bad load times being the worst of them (specially combined with having to go to the hub to level up, then back again, making you go through 2 load times when none was needed if you could level at the lamps).

i never said dark souls 3 wasn't a cashgrab either but bloodbourne is a bigger one because they lowered the bar for entry significantly and got them dank exclusivity bucks.

DaS3 wishes it was just a reskinned BB, also bosses in DaS3 are piss easy and unmemorable. BB bosses aren't significantly difficult if you've played a Souls game, but the renovation of the combat makes the early bosses tough as shit until you get used to it. NPC hunters are harder than anything else in the series and the DLC bosses are incredibly challenging while also having 10/10 presentation. OoK is the greatest boss fight of all time.

2nd phase OoK has the same problem that Sinh does in DaS2 -- he spends way too much time jumping in the air where the player has literally no way to hurt them, it drags on the fight something fierce

The difference is mainly presentation, Orphan is at least trying to kill you and survive whereas Sinh is just retarded for not flying away. You remember how in DaS kalameet would actually be a dragon and endlessly fly and kill you from above unless you wounded him first? That's the kind of shit missing from other DaS games that makes them pale in comparison.

People rip on that framerate a lot. Coming from the likes of Red Dead Redemption, which I've never seen catch flak for its fucking horrid framerate, Bloodborne's framerate is buttery smooth.

At least now it is post TOH, on launch it was pretty shit.

little to no replayability unless you want to complete it, little variety in terms of gear and weapons, gear almost doesn't fucking matter, terrible upgrade system, everything can be cheeses and is still easy even if you don't cheese, lolnoweight, chalice dungeons are repetitive and full of rehashed bosses, a bunch of boss fights that you've already seen before, and the final bosses are either a joke or yet another aggressive and superfast old man who can be parried and backstabbed, much like every goddamn humanoid enemy in the game including the final chalice boss for trophies, which is also a goddamn joke.

maybe the DLC fixes some of these, but if you're willing to buy DLC for a game with such shitty unimpressive vanilla, then you're part of the problem with the gaming industry.

Stopped reading there, every weapon is its own build in BB

The combat system is worse as are the bosses. The setting is pretty good, Lothric is rad and Princes is one of my favorite Souls bosses, but not for challenge. My main problem with DaS3 is that you can start with the knight and there is never any reason to change your shit, you can just blow through everything immediately due to straight swords being OP and heavy armor not being heavy enough to make you slow roll.

BB's magic was pretty good. You had your projectile replacements, some buffs (along with one damn good one), one "fuck-you" AOE that was high-risk high-reward, and to top it off I'd say it was balanced even better than base Bloodtinge.

Reason I'd say that is that Arcane remains useful over both PvP and PvE, whereas Bloodtinge destroys PvP but sucks dick in PvE, 250-300 projectile damage mattering very little in that context.

You're entitled to your opinion, but BB OST is objectively better than DaS3.

Bloodborne is lauded by critics and players everywhere. Where did you see these 'mixed reviews'? It's the best damn game on the PS4. Just go and buy it if you know what's good for you.

I'm finding it a lot easier than other souls games. Played every souls game in order besides this one due to having no ps4 until now. Was able to beat cleric beast and Gascoigne on my first try, we'll see if it gets any harder

DeS has not aged well. Get back to me if there's ever a remaster with improvements to the tendency system.

Chalice grinding for 27.2s both sucks dick and shits all over the PvP.

NG+ in the DLC is definitely around depth 5 chalice dungeons in terms of difficulty

I played it for the first time right before DaS3 came out and thought it was better honestly. It was clunkier and I could immediately see the improvements of DaS, but the level design, atmosphere, lore etc was all incredible and the boss fights were very memorable. Astraea is one of the best boss fights in gaming.
