It was a weird time. The idea of getting a memory card was new to people and some I guess didn't think you should pay extra to save your game.

They didn't have batteries because they were built with that in mind. Nearly every PSX had some extra shit in it that you need to save. I can't really remember any game not having save.

If it's just the glass then those are no problem and it's usually pretty cheap to get replacements for those, though 3rd party chinkshit hardly ever have the branding on it, which can be a turn off for some.

Somehow my sister downloaded something through limewire that deleted the computer's ability to play sound. Nothing else was affected as far as we could tell, it just couldn't play sound anymore.

Dunno how she managed that, but it was an experience.

This was the best game on the Sega Genesis. I played this game the most as a kid. Guess because I loved Tiny Toon Adventures.

I found a memory card on the ground at my school playground, it worked fine when I tried it then one day just stopped working on me and I lost all my saved games after having a 30+ hour FF7 save on it.

The other day on YouTube I got to see a video from a dead channel: Attack of the Show. It was Eric Andre talking about comedy, and the video worked fine, but when clicking on the channel name you just got a "this channel does not exist" message. I didn't even know YouTube videos could be orphaned like that.
