Cause it's ballin'

>Do a quick google search
>£377 USED on EBay

Jesus Christ.

I'm more worried about how horrendous doomguy's head looks from the back. Why couldnt they hire good artists to make their covers?

it looks like a decent port

maybe its just hard to find?

When Doom 2 came out nobody really gave a shit about the character they were playing. Of was just some dude fighting demons. Now they've added a bunch of stupid lore to the series and ruined it.

You mean this?

It's a pretty good port overall. It's not actually running the Doom 2 engine, but it feels very close to it and runs quite well.

Both Doom ports on GBA are good.

>implying its even doomguy and not some random earth punk who gets blown away

he can't handle those HUGE GUTS

Why hasn't DOOM been ported to a microwave yet Sup Forums? I'm sure there are models with displays that aren't stuck to numbers and powerful enough CPUs

They already did. Google Doom microwave.

Why the fuck would you port of to a microwave? That seems like the dumbest thing ever.

pls give me

link? I can't find it and I've checked it a good bit. That and a smart fridge are two things I'd like to see

cause it's DOOM

Doom 2 GBA actually uses a different engine. Doom 1 had a better engine with better controls and options.

>Those links

Legit autism.

You're thinking of Doom printer

Doom on GBA is actually more or less a straight port of the Jaguar version, which had Carmack helping it out. Plays like a charm on both platforms.

But user, then I wouldn't have a copy anymore.

I was gonna say the above user is fuckin' lying

b-but user then i would have a copy! pls!

this thing can totally run doom right?

Its on a calculator too

Played it, the controls are shit.

LOL

Only if you trade me a copy of the Saturn version of Doom. That's one of the only ones I'm missing.

user pls i dont have much im saving for a ps2 but this siwil lkdsfdsdsfsdfmlignkergd pls

>saturn version

SNES Doom is better.

SNES Doom is absolute garbage. 32X Doom plays much better.

PSX Doom is probably the best home port, seeing as Doom 64 is a different game.

Posting best E1M1 version

>absolute garbage
>more levels
>all weapons
>all enemies
>better music
>garbage

But yeah, PS1 Doom is awesome. I lvoe the music.
youtube.com/watch?v=fuyP5J8lqRE

I can groove to that.

D64 sounds too much like Quake, doesn't get my blood pumping at all

I've got the GBA Duke Nukem 3D. That one is pretty solid too. Surprisingly so.

>Complaining about the cost of a game you can literally play on a literal toaster

The playability is what matters. SNES Doom is fundamentally a slow, choppy mess, and a true chore to play. Having kickass music and more levels can't fix that it's just not smooth or fast enough.

32X Doom, despite the missing levels and fart soundtrack, plays smoothly and quickly, and is more fun as a result. I'm pretty sure given an adequate amount of time, the 32X version could've had much better music and all the content, but the game was rushed to market. I'm glad they focused on making it playable though.

GBA actually had a pretty large number of FPS titles, many of which were pretty good. Ballistic Ecks Vs Sever was also really solid.

no idea
it's not that good and has some pretty outstanding bugs

The level layouts are simplistic like you might expect, but they did a lot with a little, and introduced a new enemy or two.

I also have it sitting around in my bin of old tech stuff, probably right next to my internal ZIP drive.

There's a million ways to play Doom II on a modern PC, let alone tons of other platforms, and you could get a GBA emulator, or even a flash cart, if you really wanted the same experience.

Is PS doom even the same game?

I remember my friend having it and it was completely different from the one I had on pc.

Then again it was from Russia or something and we had to suspend the console upside down or it wouldn't read.

It has additional levels which are on PC as the Plutonia was. Final Doom just had a shitload of content.

ps doom has some more levels and neat lighting effects, it's mostly the same though
youtube.com/watch?v=vNpho45LnhE

Yea it has been years since I saw that one and I remember it being hard ass balls which definitely fits Plutonia

it's still one of the few existing AND actually pretty good console "ports". Also a huge improvement from the Doom1's GBA port.

The GBA Doom 2 was actually remade on Duke Advance's engine. That's why it runs so relatively smooth.

I've never beaten Thy Flesh Consumed on Ultraviolence

maybe I could do it with the super shotgun...

I would love to track down a copy of Doom 2 for the Tapwave Zodiac. And a Zodiac for that matter.

How about Duke Nukem 3D for the Tiger Game.com?

I'm going to try and revive this thread but make no contribution whatsoever.

almost like some kind of... obstruction in the road to force drivers to reduce their velocity...hmm....

I hate summer
