Sup Forums, ya got the power to turn back time. Which game would you play for the first time again?
Sup Forums, ya got the power to turn back time. Which game would you play for the first time again?
...
Probably Super Metroid, was a great experience playing it for the first time as a kid.
Without anything spoiled except how to save Shadow.
Seriously, the villain actually *winning* was such a fucking trip when I experienced it for the first time.
So many amazing sections of the game.
>Playing Sabin's Scenario for the first time again.
GTA 3
LISA
Fuck that shit made me cry
>That moment when Brad fights, slowly losing whatever humanity he has left as he succumbs to Joy
>youtube.com
Id never touch a video game and devote the time to guitar.
Link to the Past
KotOR 1
metal gear rising, especially armstrong
this is a good one too
The original Ace Attorney trilogy.
Honestly can't think of one, I would rather play old games I haven't played yet.
There are just as many games as good as my favorites out there waiting to be played.
Maybe paper mario thousand year door.
go back to Sup Forums
I play guitar and I can (will link video if you want to be a fag) play lumious flesh giants (satriani) completely perfect
and i'd still choose to go back and play command and conquer 1 for the first time.
The entire Metal Gear Series. Ace Combat 04 and Zero. Ocarina of Time.
All great choices. Fuck, I love video games so much.
My nigga.
Also, Ghost Trick and the Zero Escape series
>Went throughout the entire game trying to do the right thing
>Never let a single party member die
>Terry, birdie, and shocklord with me for final battle
I haven't cried to a game in a long time, but this just got to me.
>"Brad... I've been a loser my whole life. Having you around has made me feel strong for once. Like a man... The first day we ever met was the best day of my life.... Even before the world changed. Maybe you don't feel the same way... But you're my best friend dude. It's just this... Brad, this is our future you're messing with... I'm sorry. We can't let you do this."
sad shit...
Combine it with the ost... youtube.com
First I gotta say goodbye to Grampy Tim.
Oblivion. I went into it blind. It was also my first elder scrolls game. Jesus christ I was amazed by the open world. I remember escaping the sewers, and seeing a mountain, and immediately wanting to cross it.
Yea, I know that's a fucking Todd Howard meme, but that was my initial experience with oblivion. Just going around and exploring the world was great. I didn't even know fast travel was a thing, so I walked ever where.
One of the few games I got all the achievements for on the xbox, including the DLC.
Red Dead Redemption.
I tried playing it again through Xbone BC, but remembering how it ends bums me out too much.
Killer 7.
And vanilla WoW.
Off topic, but the game I would go back and choose NOT to play, if I still had the memory of it, would be MGSV.
Hopefully when I go back to present day I'll have no memory of it whatsoever.
San Andreas. The hype was insane and the game actually delivered on it- and then some.
Fallout 1.
I can still distinctly remember being 14 and getting to Necropolis for the first time and realising I fucked up and couldn't get the water chip in time. It sounds annoying to have to star the game from scratch, but it was genuinely amazing experiencing that level of dread in a game.
>Booting up the game for the first time and hearing Desert Wind for the first time.
I already knew I was about to experience 100 miles of bad road and I loved it.
Silent Hill 2.
Dark Souls
Probably mother 3 or drawn to life: the next chapter. Those games are the ones to most emotionally affect me. For gameplay I'm still amused the same by them as when I first them. Really I think most people hear are picking games that's stories really got to them.
I've never played it, but I have some money in my steam account.
Is it worth picking up? What am I in for?
If possible, every single point and click adventure game I've ever played.
Most of the thrill is gone after the first playthrough. Replay value is non-existant in them.
This.
I got gud, but at what cost?
I'd fix my life first
Demon's Souls if I got rid of my memories of the entire franchise.
Fuck you I want to go through all the twists and turns again.
The one where I kill Bon Jovi.
>the villain wins meme
How long are we going to perpetuate this lie? The villain was Emperor Gestahl. Kefka was a half-mad retard who lucked into becoming a God, but was too insane and retarded to do anything with the power. He literally had the ability to unmake reality, but he couldn't focus longer than it took to blow up a town here or there or slice this mountain range in half. When he finally got confronted, the heroes didn't need any special protection against his reality-winning God powers, they just banked on him being the insane retard he was.
Euphoria
Isn't it agonizing watching games you loved and that genuinely awed you get shit on constantly by the autists here?
I wish I could turn back time to when my friends still played video games with me.
Nothing will ever top playing L4D at an all-nighter in my friend's basement with him and 2 other friends. Obnoxiously spamming "Hey, look at this!" and "Pills here!" and purposely team killing someone and causing everyone to lose or everyone getting ready for you to try and 1-shot the witch with a shotgun will never happen again.
Same with Halo 2/3 online. Getting 50s with my friends in Halo 3 and fucking around in custom games for hours and hours is just something that won't happen again.
I'd like to play Dark Souls 1 again for the first time, but more than anything I want 2007-10 high school friends + games back.
I want to feel amazed by the monster battles again.
this
this along with super metroid
This, Kefka was a dumbass and although he had some great lines he ultimately was just your generic megalomaniac. Even if you consider him "winning" all he did was push some statues over. It wasn't brilliant, strategic, or impressive, just stupid.
Stalker SoC no hesitation.
Persona 4 Golden or Vampire the Masquerade
>this commercial plays every 5 seconds on the TV's where I work
>heard this in his voice
You can die now.
This. It became one of my favourite games of all time after I played it. I only got around to playing it last year (in fact, I played it for the first time in July 2015, so it has been one full year) and I was blown away at how fucking fun it was. I can still remember my first playthrough though. maybe this too, I bought it in the 2014 steam summer sale, and it's the game that sparked my love for the "cuhrayzee" genre.
999 or Majora's Mask.
Holy fuck playing both of those for the first time was such a magical experience.
No, fuck you and fuck that commercial they play every 10 fucking minutes.
How's Mother 3's gameplay? I tried to play EB it's just soooo slooow but the combat system seemed fun. I might retry it.
Combat is much better. If you played a dragon quest game it's basically that. Mother 3 combat is more diverse and deep but the newest addition is the comboing system. In battle one of FOURTY battle songs might play, if you press the A button to the tempo of the battle song you can string up to 16 hits on the enemy. This makes battles more interactive and fun, especially if you are a fan of rhythm games. Even then if this isn't something to your taste don't worry about it, comboing while helpful is not needed to complete the game.
I reccomend trying Earthbound again, its a bit slow at first but the journey is worth it. Where you at when you quit if ypu don't mind me asking?
I think I had just gotten finished with the Blue Cult and was working my way through the jazz club part I think. It was most likely just something at the time that caused me to give up on it.
Baldur's Gate
I wanna play through 1, 2, and ToB again in a single run. It isn't the same when I try to replay them
any rpg because they are all boring after 1 playthrough
Hmm well that's a decent way in, I reccomend trying it again user. If you don't like it don't force it but still maybe it was just the current time you were playing it. One thing I will say is even if EB isn't your thing try mother 3 aswell. I have heard of people who didn't like EB but adore mother 3 so that's another option. Best of luck and hope this helps.
This
This
Or this.
Kotor 1, then Dark souls 1, then FO1
...
B-but muh continuity.
life
>Decent way in
Its common knowledge Earthbound doesn't pick up until Threed. He stopped just before too.
>guitar
Okay grandpa
Nah I personally feel it picks up at the very start, only part I don't enjoy is the monkey cave but that's over in like 20 min so its fine with me. If earthbound were to pick up around threed that would be shitty game design. It should take an hour or two for a game to pick up, not that long. When I hear shit like "it picks up after 30 hours in" I question if if the person actually likes the game.
star wars battlefront
...
I enjoy it from the beginning but until you get into Threed the combats pretty sluggish and the mood kinda meh.
Deus Ex
Would put that umbilical cord nice and snug around my neck.
Ragnarok online
Regret nothing
My work here is done
2
i'm gonna go ahead and be that faggot
ff7
I still enjoy it but that first playthrough was a hell of a ride
Was gonna say this too
This or Paper Mario TTYD
Im gonna go ahead and agree with that faggot
I would go back to the first time I played Zero Time Dilemma.
I would then proceed to not play Zero Time Dilemma.
FFVII tbqfwyf
Ori and the Blind Forest
came here to post this
the first time through this game is an insane ride
This, Morrowind, and SotC
Love all 3 to death
Mass Effect
XCX
You're so right and I hate it
It is seriously only popular because people could never play it a second time so they have to live through other people playing it for the first time.
... THE FUCK?!
this because of what sans says in genocide. I got my nice pacifist ending and i'm not going back.
because
you know
faggot
forgot pic
To explore both the comfy and decrepit locations once more for the first time, then realize how badly I fucked up by encountering an exotic enemy that wiped the floor with my team.
That and seeing the animations for the espers and quickenings blew my mind.
Don't you put memes in my mouth!
I wish I could erase my memory of FFXII too, but I wouldn't play it again.
linked wrong
meant for i'll see myself out
Played this game spoiler free last year.
Holy shit what a ride.
That perfect fucking ending.
That addictive battle system.
That world.
Everything.
>theres no message for you deleting these files
it would have been the best final ruse.
I fucking despise this commercial with every fiber of my being.
TWEWY.
From the moment you boot it up you know it's something special.
999
Terraria; even if it I'd get half as many hours (so like... 400 hours) cuz they're not updating anymore
>Portal 2
>not Potal
Corruption of Champions
yes
YES
The first night I played this... I was runnin' dry and was still goin. God, what a night.
FFT so i can rage at wiegraf in riovanes and gafgarrion again
>portal ones crazy thrill ride of an ending
or
>portal 2 which is just generally a better game
I could understand both.
Both desu senpai desu ne~
