it's still their IP getting all the recognition
In reality its mostly because niantic is a privately
owned company so people jumped to the next thing
IPs have value too, and Pokemon proved it has insane value with the smash hit success of Go.
it's dead, jim
enjoy your vita's and 3ds's, they are the last handhelds
>What is brand recognition?
Good thing Pokemon GO will run on the Nvidia powered NX tablet
>pokemon
>the million dollar maker
Nothing at all. Why would it mean anything if its happened several times? They'll keep adding more Pokemon to catch and keep the game updated, if thats what you mean.
Pokemon GO was made almost entirely by Niantic, with Nintendo only lending out the license for the Pokemon to appear in it. Nearly every mechanic is present in Niantic's previous title, so what does the success mean? Absolutely nothing, because Nintendo is still going to make backward ass handheld and mobile games. Their Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem mobile games are probably going to be instant forgettables.
