A small retailer like "computerlounge.co.nz" will not have the same buying power as places like newegg. Their wholesale price is probably pretty close to the US RRP.
Then you add all the costs of running a small business in a small country where the market for young dudes buying brand new wanky GPUs is a fraction of the size of the US. 50% markup might be required just to keep the company afloat.
Not to mention that retailers can charge more markup on luxury items like brand new GPUs.
