>What do I do in-game? General rundown is: Get generator running, set up the railguns and pumps (-100% out), go to objective marker, kill monster/get artifact, go to endpoint. Also fix any hullbreaches and get any unwanted water out the sub during all of that. These tasks are all shared across the crew obviously, so you don't have to (and shouldn't) attempt to do all of it yourself unless you have to.

Which bug? There were quite a few bugs related to autorestart and sending the submarine files but I think they're be fixed (at least I haven't had any new bug reports since).
And yeah, I guess 20 seconds is a bit too fast. I think I'll make add the option to change it and set the default to 1 minute.

Latest update was on June 8th. There haven't been any major additions in the past few months though, so you might want to wait until the next one which adds support for multiple submarines. Not a full sub-vs-sub mode yet though, just smaller transport vessels that can be docked to the main sub (+ whatever custom contraptions the players end up making).

Also, the respawn shuttle thing I mentioned in the last blog post is implemented now.
This is how it works now, I'm not quite sure how it'll end up playing out in the multiplayer but I'd love to hear your thoughts:

I wanted to avoid making respawning too easy: there would be no consequences to dying or wrecking the sub if people could just pop up in their cabins whenever they die. Now getting the shuttle from the entrance to the sub is a challenge and the players have to wait several minutes before they can respawn.

There will be a lot of networking bugfixes and improvements in the next update, including fixes to monster syncing. The netcode is still I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-doing tier crap, but it's a major improvement to the current version. I guess I should start looking for a second programmer who knows something about network programming...

`Sometimes the game throws an "Coroutine WaitForPlayersReady threw an exception: Queue empty." error, at which point the automatic restart timer will start counting down in the negatives, it will never stop counting down.
The only fix is for the host to select a new sub, which is obviously what the auto restart is not there for´

An easy way to do it would be make the minisub invincible and/or prevent the players from steering it, so it'd basically be a "waiting room" for the players while they're being transported to the main sub. Another option would be to all spawning multiple shuttles. If the first one is destroyed or fails to return for whatever reason, a second one could spawn (after an extended waiting period?).
