>that high end PC with a single 60 hz 1080 display

Why

What

>inb4 620

my computer on idle btw, LONDON

life in the closet

>temps getting a bit high
>melting in my chair
>most things don't run at 60fps on high
>display driver crashes every hour or so

feels bad man

are you me?

Turn on the air conditioner

>Air conditioning in bongland

it doesn't exist here user

probably. my display drivers went full retard last night opening a twitch stream and I got scared

turn on the fan, literally naked with the fan on my body

My system is pretty good, but not always fantastic. Regardless, I play Dark Souls and League of Legends most of the time, so I suppose it doesn't really matter.

>fans in bongland
I haven't earned enough good peasant points for my local Baron to buy me one

in all seriousness I need to buy one

currently playing overwatch.

someone rate

>61 on idle
jesus christ dude

>dopesmoker
nice

I need a new monitor.

cucked/10

wondering what your CPU temps and usage are with the 1080

...

...

Only had it for a few days.
After 2 hours of looping Heaven it got to 69C on the GPU. Granted it was only something like 23C outside over the weekend.
The CPU hits highs of 60 to 65C in GTA V, that's at 4.4 @ 1.23V
Creeps up to 78C in Prime95.

What's the usage % in GTAV like?

I don't really remember I'm afraid. At work ATM.

...

I can tell you though that in Fallout 4 Far Harbour with everything maxed I was jumping from 1600 MHz to 2050 Mhz and usage was somewhere between 60% to 85% or so while walking along the coast with the sun dawning (so lots of Godrays and Volumetric fog).

Its summer, no smoking

...

Is 80 Celsius an acceptable temp for a 4790K on AIDA64 after 1 hour?

With or without AVX?

>seagate drive above 50 degrees

...

Not sure. My cooler is Noctua NH U12S. I saw that prime95 is not recommended for Haswell.

Hottest day of the year so far where I am and the temps are still totally fine.

Ambient temp?
CPU cooler?
CPU voltage?

...

At the moment it's 26 degrees out
CPU is at 1.320v with a hyper evo. It's good living in normally cold places, usual idle temp is around 26-27ish degrees

I just built my PC and I love it. It plays everything good, isn't too loud and does everything as it should. And because I'm so happy with it, I will NEVER EVER post my specs here because I can't take people shitting on it.

fucking bullies ;_;

So I accidentally started my PC without a heatsink or cooler on the cpu

how fucked am I?

>1.320v
holy fuck, what's your clock speed?

Some fragile snowflake you are.

Not fucked, the chip has built in protection.

...

I know kek. It's at 4.6 st the moment, tried dropping it down to 1.3 but it was crashing loads. I didn't really win the silicone lottery with this cpu.

>inb4 gtx 1080 on 1080p 60hz monitor
I had the choice between updating my GPU or my monitor, I was on a 950. Obviously a better monitor wouldn't do me much good on a 950, so I figured if I got the 1080 I could at least experiment with DSR until I got a better display. Gonna pick up a new monitor in a few months.

do you get stutter in Witcher 3?

Using an i7 4790k and a GTX 1080 and I get some stuttering in Novigrad.

alright Sup Forums, I have no idea what I'm doing with my computer. is there anything I need to fix about these?

only just started playing when I got my 1080, haven't made it anywhere so populated yet, haven't noticed anything otherwise. What settings, everything maxed? If so, turn down the aliasing on the hairworks a notch.

cute budget build. should work decently for most releases this year.

Novigrad is a torture test.

get a new cpu user. an i3 isn't going to cut it much longer

everything maxed except hairworks. I don't even have it on. I have 144hz monitor though and I playing at around 70-85fps but when I lock the framerate the stuttering stops

I am having issues with my solid state drive. I'm not currently at home to post specs, but I finished my build sunday, and installed the drivers for my ssd, but it still doesn't show up in my storage, i can access it through its own ssd manager but not my operating system

>tfw my motherboard ate the dust
God fucking Damnit. It had only been 7 months, too. Fucking Gigabyte.

My graphics card sucks

Even at 60fps the frametimes in Novigrad is pure shit.

t. 4790K and GTX 1080 @ 1080p.

but it's winter here user

so witcher 3 is confirmed to have a frametime issue?

...

I've no idea then, user.
Sorry

No, but Novigrad is where I get stuttering and Fraps says 60fps. I assume it's frame times at fault. Probably the CPU bottlenecking or something, I've got 2400MHz RAM too.

...

>single-channel

do you need to format it maybe?

way above my average, but not too bad at the moment

Windows + R -> type in diskmgmt.msc -> at the bottom find the disk that is your SSD, it will most likely have a black bar showing unallocated space -> right click and create a partition plus assign a letter
It should show up then.

hey my monitor has been randomly shutting off and on; goes black for a millisecond then does its long-ass bootup, please help
>we're not your personal tech support
i know

...

That sounds like it could be any number of things. Any more info you could provide? Have you tried another monitor? another video cable? how old is it?

>high temps
>current year

just got the monitor, acer r240hy. i've switched out the hdmi cable once, but it kept happening, so unless i got 2 faulty hdmi cables probably not. haven't tried another monitor yet

north pole?

>90 degrees outside
>AC is broke

fug

try a dvi cable

did you even look at the speccy, or

>AMD CPU
>15C

How?

It's just AMD being too incompetent to add a proper thermometer to their CPU's.
You'll never get an accurate reading under 40C or so.

i don't think i have one

>having condensation on your parts
pleb

>not having a 10 meg pipe
step it up faggot

>Current Year
>60hz

I always knew you all were homosexuals.
