Do they do anything special?
Well, the cerebral bore shoots out a tracking flying robot that drills into your skull and explodes.
>MH switch axe
I am easily impressed.

ohh thats a nice one

Any other weapon that could possibly be conceived pales in comparison. I wanna see a game where the main gimmick is having a blatant Pandora ripoff as your central/only weapon.
I really like the needler in halo. It's one of the few alien weapons along with some of the stuff from half life that actually feels alien and not just "a normal gun, but it that shoots lasers"
Though, even other covenant guns feel really unique in the novels where their plasma and radiactive guns actually acts realistically
>xD RaWR So Randum!11!!1!1!1!!!!!!!!!!111 the weapon
Autism the post
I cry as I watch Dead Rising follow the same path of "LOL RANDUM OVER THE TOP HUMOR AND GAMEPLAY"
It's crazy both of them had perfect balances of serious and funny in their second entries, and went a little too overboard with their third.
>drills into your skull and jettisons the shredded brains and explodes*
i honestly feel as though the needler carried halo. it really defined the game for me, it was sad to see slowly phased out of the series
anyone post that land shark gun yet?
This
>Pick up alien gun
>It's the same as any other gun but with a weird colour, rounded edges and light bullets
do mods count?
It's not random, it's just crude.
holy shit. I guess overkill is right
...
>Those weapons that send the shotgun shells all over the place
>432 bullets... More than enough to anything that moves.
Is my math right?
Not crazy, but CUHRAAAAAAZY!!!
redeemer, TV missile mini nuke
MIRV prototype fatman, multiple mini nukes
holy hand grenade from worms and fallout NV.
infector gun from defiance?
davy crocket from mgs3 and real life...
>tfw someone actually built a Davy Crocket
>And it wasn't some silly country like North Korea
>It was the military of a real, first world country
black hole gun in saints row 4
lots of cool guns in that game
>6*12 = 432
What
But he has six cylinders for each gun, so it's 6*6*12, right?
Where do you think the 6 comes from?
>At first glance, the Time Strike appears be be just a joystick with a red button on top of it. However, it is much more complicated that than. When Sam hits the red button, the machine remembers the exact time, day and coordinates of the enemy Sam is targeting. Then, when Sam gets back to the present day, the scientists download the data and toss a piano or safe back in time to the location listed on the machine. Basically, it uses stable time loops to kill enemies.
>Dark Souls II
>Game all about swords, bows, monsters and magic
>Find a strange claw on a corpse behind an aberration
>Try out the moveset
>It turns me into Bruce Lee
>Strong attack lets me Hadouken people
>Immediately respecced my build into Jackie Chan
>Mfw I'm now a full plate cage fighter
Damn you beat me to it.
It's an axe that turns into a fucking sword and also has an ammo system+charge blast. No other weapon in the game offers the kind of satisfaction this baby. Once you learn how to use it, it's hard to go back to anything else except for generic-as-fuck charge blade.
6 bullets per chamber
6 chambers per gun
12 guns
>No other weapon in the game offers the kind of satisfaction
charge blade does
you can't beat explosions all over the place from a sword and shield that transforms into a giant axe
You're right, I just now stopped to actually look at the picture. My apologies.
Charge Blade is the people's weapon. In other words, it's for plebs.
Switch axe is the thinking man's weapon.
>Mother fucking rapid-fire Great Sword
>Run out of energy? Fucking start flailing that giant axe around like a tornado of razor blades and cut some tails as there's no better weapon for getting that extra carve
>Swapping back and forth between axe and sword mode
>Smearing on the status effects in ways that make dual blades blush
>Got yourself a big opening? How about exploding that mother fucker's face?
>Sword clunks and hisses and screams and, on occasion, meows
>Sounds like your cutting a monster up with a pissed off steam engine
>Oh, are there other hunters around extending your hunt time with their shit damage? Well I guess I can carve monsters up in a very narrow hit box so I won't trip your pansy ass
>tfw swag axe
What? the needler is one of the new guns in the series that has been in every single installment.
Oh, also
>What's that, Charge Blade? You can KO monsters?
>Big fucking deal. I can kill them.
>thinking man's weapon
>going into sword mode and spamming one or two buttons constantly
SA is cool in concept but it's terrible in execution
Literally 5-star taste in weaponry of the oversized fauna killing variety.
Many a year ago, I saw Sora's weapon of choice and thought, "Welp, no anime vidya weapon will ever be weirder than this..."
That's not really how you use SA though. You should be constantly weaving between the axe and sword mode. That way you never have to manually reload or sacrifice your mobility.
WTF is going on in that picture?
That's how you're supposed to play in theory. In practice it doesn't work out that way. And in generations you spend 99% of the time in sword mode
Only thing cooler than this weapon was the music playing
That looks like a horrible weapon
>blades are aimed the person holding the weapon
With practice that's how it's supposed to be played. When I first picked up the weapon I used to do what you did and stay in sword mode all the time, manually reloading. Once you learn how to endlessly string combos together your kill times will actually be faster than just staying in sword mode the whole time. I haven't picked up MHGen yet, but I already don't like how that sounds. It seems like Capcom is putting a lot of bias toward the sword mode in order to differentiate SA from CB. The part that really gets me about that is how SA came long before it.
...
The thing is, even the guns in halo that are like that feel unique in the novels since the Halo books are almost hard sci fi.
You have the plasma pistol causing burns even if it misses and passes by you, and a single shot from it is usually fatal with it melting through any armor and clothing and burning holes through your ribcages and organs, even when shots miss and hit the ground or walls they splatter molten metal and rock everwhere, etc
Better not talk about the recoil either. The Loli-physics protect the wielder.
>beating up people with a giant dildo is beneath a mature adult such as myself
>not the rift inducer
He said craziest, not most OP.
Who the fuck thought this was a good idea?
Nomura
>no turkey leg in ds3
ds3 really dropped the ball on cool weapons
