Anyone else playing this?
I've almost beaten it. Shits gone down and I just killed the double boss.
Is there any postgame content?

Making on thread on this is way to difficult but this game is eo levels of good, i wish that wasnt the case
It has cooler classes, looks way prettier but less content and shallow dungeons.
Yeah. I also wish there was a hard mode. Each party has two or so viable gameplans for reducing any boss to rubble. I'd love to play through this again with a preplanned team and be forced to use literally all my strategies to get by.
It's a shame there hasn't been that much discussion about this though, I think so far it's my favorite game this year by a long margin.
This game is so damn good. I love all of the classes, even the basic samurai class.
Man my samurai is fucking killer and I'm not even specced into the cool looking single sword moves at all. Windy Canopy + Fire spec duelist is insane though.
>almost beat the double boss
>mfw boss proceeds to pop an atk buff then immediately use a multi-hit attack and wipes the party
At what level of earthquake does the Banisher start murdering everything?
>Best Lucier doesn't come out at the same time as the Samurai and Otaku
Whoever decided that the Lucier should come out a week later needs to be fired.
>not picking a shota duelist
Around max for bosses I think, but there's so much committal required for it with the reloading I don't use it that much.
I don't really know though my banisher is with my second Duelist who has the Exodia ability so he's basically just an item bitch.
You can "remake" characters with new voices/portraits any time you want at a terminal while keeping all exp and skills.
I know that. I was just expecting all the portraits to come out at the same time so I'm a bit disappointed.
>exodia
>judgement does 3k damage at level 1
Its too bad it requires so much setup
You can break buffs by using buddy skills
You get a single post game dungeon, The Shadow Realm, where all random encounters are dragons and you'll fight powered up versions of previous bosses. The only strategy here is to kill them before they can even get a single hit in, so I hope you have a god hand or 2. And then you get to make a choice at the very end followed by another credit roll. That's it.
It's actually pretty fucking good once you get a good team going. I found pairing it with a mage is great for keeping the duelist up and once you've maxed out the basic draw and starting hand bonus I normally get judgement before the first trap expires.
Sounds like fun. Good to know godhands are just as OP as I though, I've relegated mine to item slave because he was too good and I wanted my other guys to have to do something for a change.
>Make your choice.
>I'll fight it.
>I won't fight it.
Well, Sup Forums?
True user, but said boss moved twice in one turn and used the buff and multi-hit back to back. There was no chance to use a buddy skill to break it.
Kill it
I don't think they do that, but they do have a few multi hit attacks, one of which has a chance to instakill.
>I don't think they do that
I didn't think they did either user until it happened. At the point it happened it was just Rika left.
Ohh yeah I just blew them up with X Fire so IDK what they do when they're separated.
Thats why you pair earthquake with the ex skill, it completely reloads all bombs
Favorite class portrait?
I just wish the game wasn't so short
What you posted, and pic related.
Literally perfect waifu.
I had a hard time choosing my character because all the designs were pretty good. I eventually went with the samurai girl but the alternate version with long hair.
I like the default deulist a lot.
I can finally make a third team, but there are only 8 classes
Which class should my last member be?
How is the story in this?
A Samurai of the sword type you didn't choose
Alright, danke.
Now for the hardest part.
Naming.
A second godhand is probably the best considering they're op as fuck and the G limits only affect if you can declare an attack, not if an attack can work, so you can do a quartetto and another attack in the same turn.
Duelist is also good because judgement requires you to fully spec into it for it to really be useful but is pretty good once you do.
It's decent. Better than I expected going in but it's not a game I'd play exclusively for the story.
Dragons are fucking shit up, travel through time and kill them all. You can also make a 14 year old girl into an adult with your own little girl. Or a muscly old man, whichever floats your boat.
I'm playing it. I'm only around 3 hours in. Any basic advice/tips? I've still only got the one team. Also, I feel that every new area is like a stupid difficulty spike, even if you have decent equips.
Pretty okay
80 years ago, dragons invaded the world and decimated 75% of the worlds population, and now they're coming back, so you team up with a private company to travel through time and complete a biological record with the power to stop them for good.
So basically a lot of time travel bullshit, standard JRPG story conventions, and a climax that gets pretty dark (as is the norm for this series)
It gets easier later on once you have your builds up and running and have secondary teams.
What classes are you using?
I love myself some tits but the make agent wears a Jet Set Radio shirt, I picked the black guy and gave him the green color and named him Lucio.
2Godhand lmao and an Agent. I feel like I would have a little more enjoyment if I had a third different class but oh well. Around how long does it take to get a secondary team?
I really wish they got to do the entire planned series instead of this partially rushed and mashed together final game.
You get a second team halfway through the second non tutorial dungeon, so not that long.
Also with 2 godhands you'll rape fucking everything so just max out jab on one of them quick.
Halfway through Lower Ward Cladeon.
Okay. Any suggestions for second party ideas? I was gonna go with a Summoner-type and I don't know what else exactly.
Oh I just got there so I should play through it then.
It's best to have a little of everything, but Duelist, Samurai, and Rune Knight are pretty helpful
Duelist in the back row especially, as their back-up skill heals all status ailments (a necessity in the lategame)
When you get to the second area of Atlantis. You also get 2 more classes added to the mix and they are both pretty good, especially Fortuner. It has auto regen skills for MN and HP and it is based around inflicting attacks with status and regenerating health while dealing damage.
It sounds gimmicky but it honestly works really well
I've played some of it and it's really fucking good. What kind of DLC are they releasing now? They had those two maps. I want more appearance and color options.
Take both the new classes you're given. One has a super fast support charge so you can always break bosses and the other has a REALLY long charge but when used in a team support attack it revives all you're dead dudes between turns so it's great.
I'll keep these in mind. Thanks guys. Although, how do I tell which character is in a front or back row?
You control the character in front row
The ones in back row are on the touchscreen, and can't be commanded
You'll understand when you get them
This isn't EO, there aren't rows. Agents can use Hide but that's just a status effect. Secondary teams are on your bottom screen and you can tap units there to have them join in with a "buddy attack" when their support gauge is high enough.
Oh that works too. Alright, my bad.
Is there a way to reset skills in this game? I fucked up.
Also, which of the original portraits is suppose to be the Godhand?
I don't think you can reset skills, but you get enough points to max out everything always so it's not a big deal. Also the butler and maid are the default godhands.
The butler and the maid
So the children are the samurai, then? Interesting.
Best design and best color is middle.
The children are YUGIOH user, what the fuck is wrong with you?
You can at the cost of 10 levels but that's not till lv30, it's actually a reclass but it really isn't worth it. You gain SP from battle anyway so there's no way to fuck up anything, just grind for seeds if you have to.
The kids are the duelists and the ones in school uniform are samurai.
Ahhh, it all makes sense.
Holy shit I totally forgot about those seeds. What's the best place to grind for them?
They can appear pretty much anywhere, so there's not really a place to grind for them...
There is that grinding DLC, though. Not sure whether it's still free.
>max bomb limit
>max earthquake
>max war cry procs
>mfw
>when you're unlocked Ultimate Lance as well
>which can combo into another Earthquake
The ambient music reminds me of ever17
Gun or Hack build for Agent?
Shit nigga. I'm playing both right now.
REMOVE THIS.
Gun early-game, Hack late-game.
Hope you like chicken sandwiches!
Hack is useless until you have the Hack skill maxed out but Lostpower.exe is really good.
The Troy skills can remedy most bosses' resistance to hack, but that's yet another skill to max out. It's best to save Hacking for when you have excess SP.
I'm on Coco's true route right now. I'm at the final stretch. I'm almost done with chickie sandies.
Hope you got a broom to clean up the chunks of your brain that are about to be splattered all over your room.
Uh... are you implying there will be gore?
The only gore will be whatever is left after your mindfuck.
Oh thank god. I'm quite surprised that I'm so close to the end and I still don't understand what's going on. I've played all of Zero Escape but I feel like I'm not prepared for this.
999 borrowed heavily from ever17 but ever17 shits on ZE as a whole.
Yeah despite me seeing the same twists in ever17, I felt a bigger impact than I did seeing them in 999.
>alright, nine members, killing dragons should be easy
>Fight one
>WARNING
>it's okay, I can take on two
>WARNING
>three is manageable, I guess
>WARNING
WHY ARE THESE FUCKS SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER
Because you have 9 members now silly. They don't want the game to be too easy.
You can only ever have 2 dragons on screen at once though. Just juggle two dragonflies (assuming I'm guessing the part you're in correctly) and kill them both on the same turn.
>Because you have 9 members now silly.
Too bad the game doesn't have in-battle team swapping.
It is possible to make a comp where all 9 guys attack every 2 turns though.
