The Fated Four in the 3* quests have 3x their normal HP, you're meant to run from them and complete the actual objective of the quest.

I would not recommend it, it's seriously not fun at all. I don't know if it's any better in a party but it fucking sucks solo, but I still managed it first try

Aside from prowler-only quests, yeah it's optional.

But treat a properly built cat as a 15th weapon. A properly built cat can get mid-tier killtimes even at endgame. Picture related.

Nothing to the shells, it replaces slam and fullburst with a 3rd poke though so wide shot essentially loses nothing for playing striker.

I just assumed it was because japan got the shit ages ago so anyone can just look it up. The "foreign" line is the one thing that might make it Ghunter related, but there's no way to tell for sure.

Gravios was easy even if you didn't cheese him with a gun, all you had to do was hack his legs until he fell over and make sure you're ready to roll out for the gas attack, I don't get why everyone acts like he's cancer

I was happy to hear Royal Ludroth was making a comeback. But then I remembered Capcom won't bring back underwater hunting ever, because fags couldn't git gud enough and whined about it.

I wailed on Glaveneus for like 40 minutes as a Prowler before I realized something HAD to be up, so I just turned the quest in. Still got a lot of part breaks though, I think I broke literally every part of the fucker besides his tail.

It was kinda easy with Adept Lance, and even easier with aerial IG, it's weak to water and ice so Royal Ludroth weapons are good against it It moves around a lot and is very aggressive, keep that in mind.

Monster HP is tuned for multiple players, but all of it is doable solo.

Fellow prowler bros what are your hunting habits?

I've gotten used to using big boomerang/piercing boomerangs as soon as their up and being able to keep them up indefinitely. Used to save my gauge to 3 before using either so i could use both at the same time, and keep their cooldowns uniform but i noticed it slowed me down a bit. For slightly more annoying monsters like crabs/sephadrome and other intangibles. I'll use big boomerang first then save up 3 and use both together when BB ends. how about you guys?

Also what method of leveling your cats do you like the most, any specific quest give tons of cat exp? Struggling a bit leveling mine, though i'm still sticking to offline mode. Sort of a mh tradition for m to complete ever village quest before moving to online mode.

Tuned for 2 to be accurate. A party of 4 is overkill and will result in faster times than a village run.

I've long held the belief that it should be required to complete the village campaign, though not necessarily to 100% it, before being allowed to go online. But no one would have the nerve to implement it and people have no patience for these things.

Go to the area on the far left of Misty peaks or one of those general areas. Look for what looks like a Bamboo shoot on the floor and gather from it.

I always bring a support kitty with the "Go, Fight, Win!" ability. Often times he'll use it before I even reach 3 bars, so I can activate both abilities earlier for only 1 bar total. And with emergency retreat, I can get up to full health at no cost fairly quickly. That usually lets me save up 4 bars for a trap when the monster starts limping.

If you're in Misty Peaks, go to Area 3 and climb the ledge, then gather from the bamboo sprout looking node there.

How does that skill work by the way, the "While dancing" part sort of confuses me. Are you supposed to use the dance gesture then a skill?

Nah, it means the Palico that activates "Go, Fight, Win" has to dance to maintain the skill, meaning that if they get tripped or attacked it'll end the skill.
But everyone else doesn't have to do anything special to get Infinite Stamina (Hunters) or 1 bar reduction on ability costs (Prowler)

While a palico is dancing, all other palicos have their support move cost reduced by one bar, and all hunters have infinite stamina.

However, the effect continues for a certain duration after the skill ends, proportional to how long the palico danced for.
