This. It's pretty below average. There are very little RPG mechanics outside of "shoot this thing and level up". The dialog is often 2 yes options followed by a sarcastic yes, and a goodbye.

Even the mods are pretty lame, and you can tell fan interest isn't really there.

If you are the cool gamer kid who beats the game under 10 hours and want a blast while doing it, Fallout 4 is a horrendous choice for a game.
If you are the nerd who wants to spend countless hours retreated in a virtual fantasy world, Fallout 4 is pretty damn good.

Skyrim and NV weren't particularly dissapointing IMO, Oblivion and 3 only being slightly.

4 is a huge disaster, it sucks

its bland I was disapointed.

BUT the survival mode they added actually saved the game imo. It's rare that a difficulty setting save a game but its the case here. With survival mode the game is worth it if you buy it with a discount

Couldn't get into 1 or 2- no, I don't know what's wrong with me, either- never got around to picking up 3 or NV for the 360, and my PC is too much of a toaster to run them properly.

The story is absolute garbage. The combat is fun for a while until you realize there's like 3 different enemy types. I would recommend mods that add weapons and weapon mods, as well as overhaul mods. I had a lot of fun on Survival with War ofthe Commonwealth, super mutant overhaul, synth overhaul, raider overhaul just to name a few. The amount of overhaul mods required should tell you how shit the game is on its own. Its a fun shooter, but TERRIBLE rpg/story
