3DS Game

I'm gonna be away from my main computer and consoles for about 2 weeks. Recommend me a good, long 3DS game. RPG preferred.

Already own:
>Project X Zone (shit)
>Fire Emblem Awakening (alright)
>Pokemon Omega Ruby (good)
>Bravely Default (good)
>Pokemon X (good)
>Theatryhthm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (great)

And games I have for DS:
>Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (good)
>Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (great)
>Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (alright)
>Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (alright)

bump for intrest

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth
Etrian Odyssey
Bravely Second?

You could try out fantasy life. Mario golf world tour is fun as fuck too.

Monster Hunter X/4U

Would keep you occupied for a tad longer than 2 weeks.

It's kind of an RPG

Do not play the following, you will not enjoy them: SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked (3DS), Etrian Odyssey IV (3DS), Radiant Historia (DS), or SMT Strange Journey (DS).

You may like the following: Mario and Luigi Partners in Time (DS), Disgaea (DS)

get homebrew and install Freeshop

Any Etrian Odyssey, pretty fun turn-based RPG
MHGen just came out, also pretty good at burning time

Dragon Quest VII is out in two months.

The DS games aren't very rare/expensive either. IV's localization is horrible though.

Puzzle and Dragons Z is pretty good, but not very hard. Or long.

For 3DS, Devil Survivor Overclocked or Shin Megami Tensei IV

For DS, Radiant Historia, Megaman Zero Collection, the Ace Attorney series

I really can't think of many "long" games that aren't Pokemon, SMT or Etrian Oddyssey. There are a lot of good games, but most of them are pretty short

I've played Persona Q and, while I did enjoy the dungeon crawling to an extent, it wasn't enough to make up for how irritated I was with how the game treats the P3 and P4 cast. I will be going to a game store tomorrow since I want to get a game soon, and Bravely Second will be what I pick up if there's just nothing there that I want. Etrian Odyssey is also one I'm kind of interested in.

I've been interested in Etrian Odyssey and Radiant History, but I haven't found them for more than 10% off from used copies, and I vastly prefer new.

I only have the basic 3ds XL, and I was told to not even bother with MH unless I had the circle pad pro or had a n3ds XL.

What about 7th Dragon III VFD? It seems stupidly weeb, but I'm seeing good things about it.

Probably Yo-Kai Watch and Etrian Odyssey series sans Mystery dungeon
I haven't bought many games for the 3DS. Rhythm Heaven is neat. Heard 7th Dragon was good.

>not even bother with MH

That's partially true, especially if your hands are huge
I play with a regular N3DS, the camera controls are awkward but you get used to it

I do recommend Etrian Odyssey though. Some people are really thrown off by the map-drawing mechanic but honestly that shit was fresh to me and I really enjoyed it

depending what region you are Etrian Odyssey IV and untold 1 may be real cheap on the eshop. im in nz and they're both 16ish nz$ which is 20% of the normal price.

I'll take a look. Which of those would you say is better?

Rune Factory 4 will burn away your time nicely.

Is it possible to install DS games on homebrew? I haven't updated my cfw in awhile and Im at like 10.7 reinand.

It's long if you try to clear the hardest songs, but from what I've heard it isn't as hard as the PS3/4/VITA ones.

Yes I think there is an Emulator for them.

I just use my dstwo super card though

Is this pretty good then? I wouldn't mind a rhythm game to play which unless i'm stupid this is

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate or Generations.

i love etrian odyssey 4 myself but etrian untold1 is newer. personally i would reccomend 4 but neither is a bad choice.

Fire Emblem Fates:Conquest
Ultimate Mortal Kombat

It is indeed a rhythm game which I found pretty good. Haven't played Theatryhthm though so I can't compare it to that.
Pic related is overzealously compressed since it was taken with ntrcfw's streaming feature.

Haven't played that either, pretty sure my entire experience is being shit at osu, and random ipod touch rhythm games years ago that i had some fun with. Going by that screenshot I take it it's timing abxy to things showing up on screen

>Yes I think there is an Emulator for them.
The only DS emulator for the 3DS I know about is very much a WIP and is currently only for the N3DS.

It's pretty fun. Only Miku game I've played but it's a good game in my view. Songs are pretty catchy too.

Nice, think i'll look at it on youtube or something and might get it. How much content has it got then

there should be a demo on the eshop you can download for free if u wanna give it a go. i have like 80 hours on it its great fun and the songlist is pretty good.

>ask about good games on the ds earlier today
>get banned because I didn't ask in /wsg/

>/wsg/
Nigga, you what?

shit /wsr/ my bad, I took about 300mgs of diphenhydramamine about an hour ago so I am getting really loopy

Oh nice there is, thanks for telling me, gonna check that out.

Sounds like you got a stupid ban.

phoenix wright

Oh I did

don't think it helped that for some reason barneyfag started spamming my thread. Don't know what he has against goku now but whatever

It was probably just the barneyfag that got the thread purged.

Anyway, recommend me a game, faggot.

Kirby and Professor Layton

>How much content has it got then
In terms of rhythm games, it has 48 songs you can play. Most songs are locked and can be unlocked by playing songs that are available. The later songs are better than the earlier songs. Songs also have hard modes which need to be unlocked.

There is also puyo puyo. There are other little features on there too but I'd say these are the main selling points. Everything else is just "nice to have" stuff.

I'd say you get your value out of the game if you enjoy the music and want to max out your combo/highscore.

Can someone tell me why they thought it was a good idea to not have a charger bundled with the new 3ds?

Well I play through OoT and MM once a year and the ds versions are not bad. MM has a lot of changes but it remains a good game

Is this bait?

Any reccomendations of fighting games on ds / 3ds. Not really looking for something to get really good at, just something I can just play to mess about other that smash. Not too bothered about online as long as it has stuff to do, but online is nice. Think I heard the bleach games aren't bad somewhere, and Super Street Fighter iv on 3ds is supposed to be good I think but that's all i know

Oh nice, stuff to unlock is cool, and playing the demo just now a bit was really fun so I think I'll go order this after playing the demo a bit more. Thanks guys

is theatrythym a rhythm heaven type game with final fantasy songs? why have i never heard of this

Pokémon super mystery dungeon
Worse than 3 desu

From what I've seen of rhythm heaven, not exactly. Check out some videos though, the game's great.

No problem user.

Pretty much. It mainly involves making a team of Final Fantasy characters and playing songs from most of the games by tapping and swiping on the touch screen. Curtain Call is the sequel.

>Worse than 3 desu
Not here to argue if 1>2>3>4. Any Rune Factory game will chew up a lot of time. If that is what is needed then they are easy to recommend.

Really? I always preferred 3 as the best in the series
It does what 1 and 2 does but better
And the waifus in 4 are meh

I wouldn't be surprised if 3 was better. But again, You are missing the point. I'm not here to argue which is better or worse. I'm just saying RF games are typically decent games which have large play times.

?

>Do not play the following, you will not enjoy them

>You may like the following

>You may positively enjoy disliking the following

Don't tell me what to do
