When is it acceptable to rage quit Bloodborne?
When is it acceptable to rage quit Bloodborne?

Either Rom or Gascoigne
Rom is bullshit, gas coin is casual filter
It's not.
Rom is actually quite easy, just tedious. Just take out her spiders first. She's weak to electricity and blunt too, so put a few levels into tonitrus and you're good
I, personally, hate the large bosses because they cause the camera to freak the fuck out and you can never see what's going on.
hmm. I beat rom on my first try and thought it was waaaaay to easy. Then I fought him in chalice dungeons and had a hard time even with a summon
I'm a casual and Gascoigne was easy.
Headless Bloodletting Beast
PCfag here, just past micolash. playing the game on a friends console. All of the bosses so far are just the same gimmicky attack mechanics with different timing and spacing. Kinda phoned in.
The only difficulty comes from the RNG of foes deciding to use their single overly effective attack over and over instead of their 2-5 useless ones.
World design is the best part, trick weapons are fun. online is dead thanks to sony being jews. Solid 6.6/10
Dunno, got bored of it because i felt no challenge
Combat is stylish as fuck tho, fun game overall
when you realize it's boring
Well you're at the end of the game, so good luck
Get deep into those chalice dungeons and play the DLC, then you'll see some challenge.
Nah, don't bother with chalices
DLC on the other hand is a must play
you are allowed to rage quit at the loran darkbeast and amygdala in the cursed chalice dungeons
Abhorrent Beast
Literally. LITERALLY. FUCK. THIS. BOSS.
I stop playing for a while Nightmare mensis is too fucking tedious I think I need more level. I'm at level 83
Ludwig is actual bullshit though. You're in a tiny arena with a giant boss and you're fighting the camera as much as you're fighting him
Summon Help or use the poison method
The Old Hunters patch made it so that all required chalice dungeons share the same code so you can summon easier.
Fucking baffling that it wasn't like that from the beginning.
Reminder if you had to parry Maria then you are a pathetic fag who had to cheese on a women.
Kys
I did both and still barely came out of that alive.
That's the first boss I ever used not only a summon against, but a shitty cheese method such as poisoning.
I feel bad, because even though I've long passed that piece of shit, he will always still kick my ass and I will never be good enough to solo him.
What if my hunter is also a girl?
Just fought her yesterday.
Hands down, the best boss fight in the entire game.
The music was gorgeous.
The cutscene was interesting.
The atmosphere, area and lighting were phenomenal.
Her fight was engaging, and the second phase was worth it.
Best boss in the entire game.
Don't really know the lore behind her, but she was amazing.
Ez loot
Defiled chalice. How the fuck do you do this? I still can't beat the first boss of it. I've already heard amygdala is a nightmare so I guess I'm fucked.
once you've beaten the game and are either in one of those bullshit half health chalice dungeons or fighting Kos on NG+
just got to Nightmare of Mensis, 1st time I rage quit the game. Also with the Spiders in the Castle. How do I Get Gud? I use a +7 Hunter's Axe and +8 Ludwig's Holy Blade.
Shadows of Yharnam tbqh
>I, personally, hate the large bosses because they cause the camera to freak the fuck out and you can never see what's going on.
people tell me this is better if you don't use lock on.
>rage quit
>acceptable
Tip top kek.
That entire area is fucking bullshit, user. Not only do you have to make it pass the frenzy, but you also have to speed demon to the shortcut that reaches the lamp on the right at the very beginning of the game.
If you get past the spiders, you're nearly there.
maria was easy as fuck even if you didn't parry, faggot. i'm not even one of those "look how good i am" scrubs, amelia took me like 20 tries, but even i beat maria in 2
>run past literally every thing until you get into the castle
>big spider can't fit through door, so just lure the little ones out and cheese the bigguy
Space baby is the only acceptable answer. That's when I quit.
Keep dodging to his right and you win.
>weeb logic
>weeb culture
How much stamina do I need to use two handed LHB effectively?
Tell me to 'get gud', but I have gotten to Orphan of Kos on 3 characters (skill, arcane, and bloodtinge) and have given up all 3 times and still haven't gone through the end of the chalices. I guess that counts as rage quitting. Doing my first strength run as we speak, so maybe I'll finally be able to do it with the whirlygig.
alright I'll try it out, I know that the Silverbeasts get staggered easily with a gun. Main reason I rage quit because I literally lost 200K+ Blood Echos trying to get through it
Keeper of the old lords?
Shoot him with a gun to interrupt him, if he gets interrupted, he'll swipe once, back step and swipe again, shooting flames out each time. As he jumps back you can hit him with another bullet for an easy visceral.
>struggled to run behind her back and whack her boss
>yet Maria who had a humanoid figure, was fast as fuck, had big ass reach and can one shot you in her 2nd/3rd phase was easy
Literally how?
The Keeper can be staggered by basic attacks, so it's a matter of trying to get her against a wall and chaining attacks against her. Always try and use gunshots to interrupt her whenever she's attempting to buff her sword.
>Rom
Easiest boss in the game
Maybe he's just good at fighting against smaller enemies?
ANY Chalice Dungeons with the health reduced curse
>tfw put well over 50+ hours gem farming gems
Just started the game.
Where the fuck are the shields?
>When is it acceptable to rage quit
never
There's a basic wooden shield a couple of hours in, but it's crap. BB's all about being agile and aggressive as opposed to turtling and being methodical.
If you actually get anyone with this bait I'll be amazed.
How the fuck do i parry without shields then?
You shoot them just as they're attacking.
Time your gunshots while enemies are attacking.
Shoot at the enemy.
The DLC
If you are a child then yes, otherwise no. How fucking pathetic do you have to be to rage when doing a casual playthrough of anything?
Look at her. She's the doll.
I summoned for everyone besides the final base game boss.
Was fun.
Sup Forums calls it parrying because Sup Forums is nothing but actual retards. The game calls it Staggering. You shoot something just before it lands an attack to stun it temporarily and get a free visceral attack on it.
I only summoned for the final boss :(
I played a 99 ARC character and just cheesed it by running from them and throwing brews at them. I commend anyone who actually faces those fucks (specially D Amygdala) in melee range.
Why? Didn't you wanna take down the last guy yourself?
if you rage quit the game will temp ban you and penalize everyone around you for you leaving.
oh wait, that's overwatch :^)
BB is ez just watch a youtube guide or something
He's too fucking hard
>summon someone to fight the blood starved beast
>he's useless
Never. Okay, maaaaybe Orphan of Kos considering it's the hardest boss in the entire Souls series, even then I'd still make fun of you for giving up and letting the bastard beat you down like that.
The slut was asking to get parried. Look at her attack patterns.
>Sup Forums is retarded because they call a mechanic that's a replacement for parrying and functionally similar parrying
Laurence.
Nah you just gotta avoid him trying to parry you and dodge those air drop attacks. Other than that he's kinda easy to avoid his Scythe attacks and short version of it. If you used MoB on him it would abuse the shit out of him.
Gwynn in DS1 was a bitch because he was just fast as fuck giving you no time at all.
You only need someone to distract him in that 3rd phase when he starts nuking shit.
>literally celeric beast with Lava
>struggling
This or any of the chalice dungeons.
Headless is the hardest boss pre DLC but quitting because you just don't like chalice dungeons is perfect acceptable since they are awful.
Fucking hated Blood-Starved Beast. People always said Gascoigne was the casual filter, but BSB is where I massively got stuck and had to summon.
>You only need someone to distract him in that 3rd phase when he starts nuking shit.
I had to be the bait which was a nightmare considering I went into the fight with no blood vials or antidotes. My co op thought it would be funny to slug it out with BSB, needless to say he failed spectacularly.
So, I beat Gascoigne. And now I'm stuck at this new boss. Haven't played in awhile, but you meet him by going through a door and you see this long hallway.. maybe it's a large chamber? He/she wrecked my shit, and I like something like 3000-4000 blood.
They're worth doing just for the Yarnham boss fight, imo.
Great boss fight, but good God, it's really fucking unsettling.
Never.
Unless your a scrub.
Git gud, fag.
I solo'd Orphan of Kos all by myself. :)
Bitch was way to easy.
Seriously, the struggle to get to her was the real challenge.
Herself is just a joke of a boss fight.
Oh, she's like Maria. Not difficult at all, but really fun and conceptually pretty neat.
Agreed. The crying woman, bleeding from the loss of a child that was ripped out of her, who stabs herself to release blood magic is pretty fucking horrifying.
Chalices had a few good moments but a lot of boring repetition. You might enjoy them more if you skip the middle areas and go straight to the boss fights (run past enemies, pull the lever, run to boss area, skip optional bonus areas). Might require a little farming to get the materials needed but still better than the tedium of the same few rooms time and again.
I didn't ragequit but I got bored after defeating Rom
Am I missing fun parts/fun bosses? Yahar'gul feels like a chore
shadows of yharnam for me
i had such an easy time the first time i did it
Summoning anyone in bloodborne is so fucking shit compared to souls because of that stupid password shit.
In souls you could just do it as long as they put a sign, in this shit most people would either have it on passwords or you both have to randomly ring.
Finally took care of this raging babby.
Someone give me a fuckin medal
haha so based telling it like it is XD
...
>Nah, don't bother with chalices
why, so he can he a huge fucking casual?
If you didn't platinum the game, you didn't really beat it.
The chalice dungeons were an interesting idea but executed poorly. Basically you get your shit pushed in without any kind of decent, actual in game, award. If they put unique weapons in the dungeons (not copies) then yeah they would've served more of a purpose. Beast claws are the only legitimate excuse to play through the dungeons because they're the best weapons
Just redid that fight. Really unsettling but satisfying at once. Something special about no "prey slaughtered" or "nightmare slain" after you finish her off.
>fat fetish
fucking disgusting
I still think they were worth doing because it was additional content and the unique enemies and bosses were pretty cool.
There was also armor that you could only get through the chalice dungeons like the keeper of the old lords set and the madman's set. I agree though that they should have had more unique weapons and armor in the dungeons.
Orphan of Kos, Ludwig The Accursed, and Martyr Logarious
I couldn't get past Vicar Amelia and just gave up and accepted ill never beat the game.
Meh. Dodge Left then spam attack is enough to bring this bitch down.
>Vicar Amelia
Are you serious? I beat her first try and I found here out by accident so I wasn't prepared.
that's a shame, she's very easy and if you're that stuck you should just summon. I know a lot of people talk shit about summoning but if you legitimately cannot progress you should, the feature exists for a reason.
If you attempt to solo the DLC while underpowered, or get 1-shot continually on lower Chalice Dungeon depths.
Otherwise nah, it's an easy game. Which isn't particularly a bad thing.
Bloody Crow of Cainhurst
Right at the very start or right at the very end.
There's no middle ground, you're either committed or not.
It's okay to RQ at the start because the game just consume you, guts you and spits you out but you eventually crawl over the learning curve.
The final boss is completely fucked though
Its weird I beat father Gascoigne in 2 or 3 tries but I tried summoning and soloing amelia and couldn't beat her. I didn't understand iframes at the time though so I couldnt time rolls right. Ive since sold the ps4 and built a computer. Ill always regret giving up on an amazing game. Anyone who considers it shouldn't do it.
