Faith and intelligence are not co-related.
You can argue people in religions are very stupid, but they're stupid for other reasons, not religion. Religion is just a sliver of hope for their unfortunate circumstances given to them by the roulette of life.
I believe in flying peanuts, respect my intelligence.
I'm a flying peanut
And if you believe in that enough, maybe you can engineer a microdrone that can carry a peanut.
But you're just shitposting, so we'll never have micrdrones that can carry a peanut.
So get the fuck out my face.
>Faith and intelligence are not co-related
they are, they are both two wings of a bird but both must get dispelled by wisdom
that's pretty deep dude
Unrelated to this thread, but do you want to know something that is correlated with having faith?
Being a woman. Notably, a single woman with no kids.
more like wisdumb hahhaaha
really makes you think...
If that was true then surely saints would've been the greatest scientific minds, religion as a genral concept has not built civilization, rome had their panthenon as did greece, Faith is not tied to intellignece and much of chrisitan teachings talk of being a literal sheep.
Tesla was an Orthodox Christian...
Science just cant answer some essential questions.
>faith = religion
Faith is meant to be a measure of the strength of one's convictions. Having faith in what you believe in and obtaining knowledge should lead you to acquiring wisdom in the process.
>religion did not build civilization
It did though. The merits of religion in today's world aside, religion is what tied together multiple tribes, creating cities
Christian scientists are literally the ones that brought us out of the dark ages you fucking mongoloid
There's so much wrong with the implications of this statement that I hope your mother drops you on your head. From a 100-foot building. Tomorrow.
Tesla was a polish jew
How did first life come into existence?
What happens when you die?
>faith in what you believe in
Fuck off with your normie platitudes.
No he wasn't.
There's no such thing as wisdom. it's just another word for intelligence
>Catholicism vs Protestantism didn't have a massive impact on civilization
Oh okay
It is often the sliver of hope that gets many by and sometimes it is needed for that. But it is also the reason many otherwise rational and relatively smart people hate or act irrationally. You can overlap a map of religion, obesity, poverty, low education, etc and they line up very well.
Funding and free time do that. Same reason 'Christianity' inspired the great artists. Its where you could get a paycheck.
Yet
Newton about drove himself bonkers trying to make the two fit together. Belief is fine, but when give up and say god did it, you lose ambition to know more.
That is false.
wisdom is deep understandings gained through experience.
intelligence is an ability to think and cognize knowledge.
very different things.
