10/10 game until the last act, then it completely falls apart. They should have ended the story at the vice desk

I haven't played for ages, but one of the first suspects in a murder is a jewelry store owner, who is jewish. I think you get the option to call him out on something and they hurl racial slurs at eachother

the game is lacking in depth but its really cool for the first few hours

the entire last act is terrible

but yeah, the Murder act was the best.

I play through all of it in black and white. I think it improved the game

Mixed feelings but in retrospect I enjoyed it more than I thought. The interrogation was fun if you really knew what was going on and you could point out doubts and lies but sometimes the line was so thin and evidence that should've proved something didn't seem to prove it after all. MIxed bag of crisps and I ended up using a walkthrough so I didn't fail all the time. Sometimes it was stupidly hard to find evidence too, so I'd just spamclick wherever I ran.

The ending was bizarre and rushed. Cole's entire personality and arc wasn't straight enough. He was too hard to figure out and for the most part seemed to be an emotionless fuckwit with no personality. It took too long for the player to get formally introduced to his former gang and understand that he was seeking redemption for fucking up in the past. So his death was so sudden and sporadic it made me tilt my head questioningly.

It'd be exciting if the ending of those series of cases was even remotely satisfying. That was such a shitty payoff.

If it was just one case sure, but all of them? And then pick whoever regardless if they actually did it? Shit got annoying fast.

If you like cyberpunk I just finished playing through the shadowrun returns games. People are divided on the gameplay but I dont think many people deny the stories of Dragonfall and Hong Kong are damn good.

Hong Kong is my personal favorite though because you can become bff's with a half cyborg Russian psychopath.

The game should've seriously built more on the pop culture and made it "feel" more Hollywood and 50s. And Cole REALLY needed some more personality with his wife. When he was thrown out it wasn't nearly as impacting as I'd have thought.
