When did a video game last make you happy?
When did a video game last make you happy?
Today, I was smiling so much my face hurt while playing EDF 4.1. I often enjoy it the most of any part of the day sans cooking, fresh pasta or yogurt desserts are wonderful.
Just bought pokemon Yellow. Never played pokemon before. Holy shit. Actually fun!
so. earlier today a videogame made me happy.
I'm pretty happy most of the time though. You guys are the most depressing part of my day. I have no clue why I come here.
City of Heroes
Buzz off Graham
Never.
Street Fighter 5 when i ogled the T&A
Everytime I play a game, since I'm not a pessimistic downer.
Guess I'll ask. What is that image?
When i killed the last boss in DS3, although,
don't know if it was happiness or just the frustration that got released upon his death
I was happy while playing KOTOR 2 yesterday
Maybe I'm just a crazy person, but I don't play video games that don't make me happy or entertain/engross me in any other way
You come here because every other place is actually worse
me on the left
Some kind of road accident prevention campaign here in aus. I think it's suppose to be what a person would look like if it were designed to withstand car accidents. fucking retarted if you ask me, i thought it was what somebody looked like after getting flattened
Played Dawn of War soulstorm today and actual got to use the Exterminatus on some heretics so that was cool
Had a chill and helpful late night overwatch comp team while solo queuing
It's not just you, if it doesn't make me happy, I don't play it. Why would I? Those people that get mad at overwatch or world of war thunder or any other game and start whining in the chat about how much their team sucks and how "fucking bullshit this game is" make absolutely no sense to me. Why do the do that to themselves, why do they let themselves get angry and unhappy? They know they can simply turn off the game, right? No respect for people that get mad at games and keep playing
Having to git gud in Metroid Prime 2 on the first boss
I was just out of practice, it's all good now
You need multiple tits to survive a car crash?
today in MGS5 when I played as a female character.
Yesterday playing Monster Hunter Generations. Did NOT know Pokke village was in the game; walking back into it and having the music play was freaking awesome. Also the way they've changed up the core gameplay with the styles had me grinning like an idiot as I was testing them all out.
Today playing overwatch
That's one of the reasons why I've pretty much completely given up on playing competitive online games, people (including some of my friends) get so agitated and genuinely frustrated over trivial things in a game that's supposed to be FUN
Video games are supposed to be fun, right?
With something like Overwatch, you do have an MMR rating to uphold. People like feeling like they're good, and winning matches and getting a high MMR makes them feel good. Being denied that good feeling is what causes the anger; and almost rightfully so, since 'just turning the game off' won't stop the loss to your MMR. Although, I get where you're coming from. Once the match is over you can just stand up and be done with it, there's no reason to hold on to the negative.
apparently
Literally 5 minutes ago in overwatch, when i managed to stop the final push by getting a quintuple kill with a genji combo.
It wasn't very special, but it made me feel happy.
They're organic airbags
Playing Lucio in Ilios never fails to make me feel fantastic
I honestly don't remember
I can't help but laugh everytime I get into a spectacular crash in GTAO
I don't think I've ever been happy.
straight up every MGR:R boss fight (especially the first) had me grinning like an idiot the whole time
actually might go play it now
I still enjoy them, it's just that I've become really picky
Videogames don't make a person happy. Not in the "actual" happy sense.
I did have fun yesterday playing videogames, but it doesn't make me happy. If anything, no longer playing videogames gets me closer to achieving happiness in life.
TW3 while exploring Toussaint
Then realized I will never live in a land this comfy and was depressed again
Define happiness?
Some time ago. Forgot.
Getting every hug from Dropsy.
When Nostalrius was still up.
I'm always happy playing any game I find enjoyable. I was playing some modded Oblivion earlier and was really enjoying the atmosphere of it.
True pacifist ending of Undertale
I actually really dont get people who do anything that doesnt make them happy. especially in regards to entertainment. fuck off with books movies games that dont interest or entertain me in any way. Tried reading Dune. Boring as fuck. dropped it. Read Good Omens instead. had a much better time. Tried watching Twin Peaks. Boring as fuck. dropped it. Watched Stranger Things instead. had fun. Those "exquisite taste" people can go fuck off to their own planet of exquisite taste.
Vanilla WoW
>Playing the WoW korean beta with my friends back when I actually had some
>Had one hell of a ride even though we had no way to contact support when something happened because they didn't speak our language and we weren't even allowed to play it in the first place
>Everything felt so great and fresh
Fuck, man.
Fuck.
Ending of Blood & Wine made me happy.
Did Geralt fuck the tranny?
beating that shit on xbox was a ride dude. Shit lags so bad when he does some of the moves
Got a mod that added RDR physics to GTA5. Then used the ped riot mod to pretend that I was in kingman secret service and the cell phone shit went off so people were all killing each other. Made me feel like a kid again. The RDR physics was just the icing on the cake.
Its really bittersweet though
I just preordered Skyrim remastered and it made me very happy.
About a month ago, I bought warband, shit was awesome
viewtiful joe this morning i was fighting another joe it was great
Taking the time to fix up the shitty dosbox release of Blood and playing through the first two episodes today.
It's fucking crazy how Douk and even Shadow Warrior get more credit. Blood is a fucking masterpiece.
>Playing The Witness
>Feel like I'm well over halfway the game
>Suddenly notice something
>First +1 puzzle solved

Why would I play something I don't enjoy?
For the first time in my life ran 3 miles non-stop last week. Felt awesome
Wonderful 101 was the most recently released vidya that made me wanna play vidya. Earlier this month I managed to beat DooM, not as big of a disappointment as I thought it'd be, pleasantly surprised by still prefer 1/2 and wads.
Errr... cooking for my family.
Well done user, keep it up. Are you doing it to lose weight or just the personal challenge?
Playing Goldeneye 007 multiplayer with my dad in the cancer ward.
In hindsight I wish I had asked him questions and for advice, that said, I was 7 years old and he just wanted to make me happy.
The Talos Principle
Last month, played DOOM, was surprised and thus was happy
Started the diet and cardio to lose weight. Got to my weight goal, so just doing it now to increase endurance and stay my weight.
Dropped like 15 pounds. 148 to 132.
Sucking some guy's cock
Furi, although ultimately it was too easy and too short.
r u qtie?
Samorost 3
Curling up in bed on a clod night with my boyfriend. He's a total bear so super warm.
I envy you.
Playing Pokémon for the first time was a magical moment.
My advice : play them in chronological order.
Later installation implement quality of life changes that make going back to the old ones somewhat painful.
We're not all bad user. Having tens of thousands of people in one place means you're bound to have a few hundred people per game at least who complain. Some are valid, some aren't. Just play what you like to play and come here to talk about specific things and you'll be fine. This thread is pretty laid back. Glad you found pokemon, they're all very similar but consistently good. I'd jump straight to one of the newest games next if I were you so you can see the full extent of the additional mechanics instead of slowly trickling them in. I had a similar experience with kirby a few months back, never played one but bear all 3 dreamlands then picked up robobot.
Modded Skyrim last night.
I've also been listening to the music from Prosecutor's Path since I finished it.
I'm just getting around to playing EYE.
I have no idea what the FUCK is going on, I'm getting assblasted like every 7 seconds, and the setting is really cool.
Overall, it's better than nothing.
oh shit, which warhammer game is this? looks rad!
...
Being happy
A few hours ago, trying to do Perfects on Project Diva Future Tone. still failed, but had fun.
Easy, biking.
I don't do it now, but when I didn't have a job or school to deal with, I spent most of my Saturdays bike riding around a general area of my county, usually about 3-6 hours. A lot of places tend to miss when driving by car. I miss that feeling of having the wind blowing in my face as I go downhill. It's been over a year since I've done it.
I don't know if I wanna go back to it now. I also remember tha pain between my crotch I'd get the day after biking and my old man telling me that it's a waste of time before I headed out. He's not fat, but not exactly fit either.
You should user, it's great exercise. It's probably the fastest mode of transport that requires physical input (walking/running/biking/skating etc). You can cover reasonably large distances in a small amount of time and you have fun with it. That's awesome. Well enough reason to do it if you want to, everyone here could do with more motivation to keep themselves healthy. Don't let anyone discourage you.
Eternal crusade
Work full time being a truck loader/unloader 6 days a week overnight now. Can barely make time for it when the job demands physical output. I know there are ways to manage it, but I'd end up in more pain when doing it. I gotta quit this job, things are getting too retarded over there now.
I had fun the other day when I replayed Metal gear raiden. I had fun the day before that when I played some matches of MtG: Duels. I had fun when my copy of twin snakes came in the mail and I spent the night finishing it.
You guys really need to get out of your slumps. If you can't enjoy the art of gaming because you're really jaded, put some time into improving yourself. Get a casual or permanent part-time job, pick up a new hobby such as knitting, wood working, painting or drawing.
Eternal Crusade. Not released yet though.
Yesterday when I finally got my MonHun Generations Special Edition DS. I'd been on holiday so was worried it would sell out.
When I got home, there were only 2 left in the shop. I upgraded my old DS and the sales assistant got my profile data transfer up and running. Little did either of us know this would wipe the pre-installed game of the destination SDcard.
So, they had to send that one back, and I got the last one in the shop.
>TFW unlikely I'll ever be able to use that account again so my entire digital library is on a 32GB microSD card and if I lose it, it's all over.
Yesterday.
My little brother finally beat Dark Souls solo, so we spent the day engaging in jolly cooperation.
He got it last year and insisted he beat it on his own first. 10 minutes into our new game, he said that co-op was infinitely more fun.
I agree. We haven't had that much fun since Halo 2.
That sucks, I hope things improve for you. You deserve to be doing something you enjoy, there's more important things than money.
It's funny, that this same 3DS, but the blue one made me happy.
I work in a 2nd hand electronics shop. A family emergency came up, and I needed cash fast, so I sold my N3DS XL with the intent of buying it back. I was finally going to have the cash to buy it, but the newbie didn't know it was put aside for me, and sold it mistakenly.
(He did erase it though)
As I was leaving for the day, I see a regular seller, and he's telling me how he needs cash, so he has to sell his Monster Hunter 3DS XL. Before he even goes to the shop, I just buy it from him on the spot.
Sorry for my blog, but it just feels nice to be rewarded when I make so many sacrifices in life.
>God bless nintendo
Recently got GTA V on PC, and I'm enjoying it a lot.
Someone dented my car in a parking lot. Was pissed about it for months, then some guy rear-ended me last week and I'm getting a free repair, so goodbye dents. No money lost, we were both insured and the guy who hit me was an okay guy.
Also recently got a Samsung S7 Edge, and I'm loving this thing.
2005.
I honestly don't know why I keep playing, other than escapism.
Superhot
Probably my first grind through ArcheAge with a friend, when I thought I'd found the perfect MMO after all these years
Boy, still haven't recovered from that realization
When i was playing this AND when it were unlocked new gadgets
Shit was cash
bought project cars on sale last week. today was doing a 2 hour le mans race and was about 90 minutes in. already on my last warning for cutting corners and leading by 30 seconds or so. crashed into someone from behind and my headlights broke so was in almost pitch darkness for a whole lap and had to find my way into the pits blind without getting disqualified and having to do it again.
the best fun I have had in a very long time.
Yeah, it's unbelievable they still haven't learned how2internet.
Both me and the sales assistant were discussing all the fuck-ups Nintendo have made with the 3DS and 2DS lines, especially since you are obviously supposed to upgrade at some point.
A few hours I was playing flower sun and rain and a luchador kicked me in the face and then blew up a plane.
