Your birth.

Nothing.

Aonuma got a foothold into the franchise.

That it was delayed for 3 years, one month at a time. Infuriating for a 10 year old.

3D

Well, according to Egoraptor at least:
-Too much waiting
-Too much storytelling
-Too many shoot into eye "puzzles"
-Z targeting
-Opening animation for chests
-Dungeon item vs. Dungeon boss relation

Who is Egoraptor and why should I care about him?

cliff notes version
>egoraptor sucks at games that require actual ability to play vidya

After the fire temple it was just dungeon to dungeon with intermissions with shiek in between.

Still a great game. I completed it just like a week ago and playing majoras mask now and I don't like it anywhere near as much. Song of inverted time makes the game playable though.

>ALTTP is/was better
>Majora is/was better

It never started going right for this game.

The only thing I agreed with that entire video was that the combat in OoT was too simple.

AY THIS AINT FAIR

I have no idea what you mean by this.

Yeah I think he kind of has a point about the chests too, but I find it more funny than annoying or overly dramatic.

Nothing. The only thing that needed fixing was a stable framerate.

Combat felt like a fucking chore rather than something engaging and (dare I say) fun.

it was one of the first 3D games that Nintendo ever made. and yet it still has better combat than the Elder Scrolls.

He conveniently left out items that can stun/freeze and the difference between horizontal, vertical, and stabbing animations. You can use several things to kill an enemy faster instead of waiting, but he just didn't mention any of those methods.

I finally watched the Egoraptor vid that everyone's been shitposting about

I did enjoy playing OoT myself (and it's still probably one of my favorite games) but he has a point about the Zelda series going in the wrong direction after it, i.e. going away from the open world exploration of the first LoZ game.

At least it looks like it's being corrected with BotW.

He couldn't even beat the first one.

They never released the Ura expansion.

The game itself became too scripted and less open. Zelda 64 was intended to be an open world game.

That's a shame.
