These controls and shooting are actually great. IT's a damn shame about the chibi artstyle. If it at least looked good, we might have a good game on our hands.

Well I mean the game feels like Metroid Prime and the regular beam and charge shots actually have some impact. They feel pretty good actually.

Also Splatoon was the goddamned shit.

That was in 2012, back before Nintendo perfected them.

I think we're going to be seeing them a lot more after Star Fox Zero, actually. Dual Stick aiming is obsolete, to be honest.

I like having access to the right stick for quick movement, but for accuracy, gyro really is the best.

How do you unlock it? Play enough matches?

I think Nintendo will experiment with new things for the right stick to do. Star Fox having that be for barrel rolls threw me off at first, but it made sense eventually.

I just unlocked it. Looks like you probably just have to win one match, and then you get a button that says "Training" on the main menu.

Play 3 matches. Or maybe possibly score one goal, not sure.

It has unlimited uses but the demo will stop working for multiplayer once the servers fully switch to the retail release in September. Before that, the retail and demo versions will both work with online.

Either way, this is better than expected. The controls are great and jumping and scoring with a full charge feels great. It made me want to go play rocket league or videoball
