holy shit

It's probably just another mgs hd release. Doubt they are working on anything new.

I don't think a fucking pachinko machine will get their reputation back.

p-please understand

>implying they need Kojima to remake MG1 properly
>implying V wasn't a steaming pile of dogshit
>implying Ghost Babel wasn't a really good game despite being an alternate re-tread of MGS

I'm actually optimistic for any new Metal Gear projects, they don't need Kojima for them. Of course, provided they are interested in making a proper game, not more pachinko shit or something riddled with micro-transactions.

V wasnt even finished before Konami put the squeeze on em

Full online console pachinko with micro... fuck it, macrotransactions?

you have to admit this PR stunt reeks of desperation

I wish MGSV had co-op like one user pretending to work for Konami claimed they were working on.

Let's not kid ourselves here, even in its complete state MGSV: TPP would have been dogshit, as the last missions would have been more of the first chapers' alternate modes, other pic related levels but with children and yet another Sallythropus battle

Does this mean SH is still on the docket?

well
start by
launching MGSV chapter 3 for free, with a free blowjob from quiet, two if you made 100%

then cancel the fucking patchinko machine and transform it in to a real MGS3 remake

with a free blowjob from quiet to whoever already own MGSV

two if you reached 100% on chapter 3

THEN we can talk

Reminder that Konami were actually the good guys

>>implying V wasn't a steaming pile of dogshit
it wasnt
it was unfinished

that is like saying DMC4 is shit.

mgs3 remaster pls
They wouldn't need Kojima and they have some assets already.

>killed series list too big for one post

honestly I doubt it

See

This is it. This is where we see a triple A company die.

They did a good job putting MGS3 onto the Fox Engine.

Too bad it was for a pachinko game though.

all he did is to say the game is bad

>didnt said why
>didnt show evidence
>didnt show any fotage to prove his point

Chapter 1 is finished and the story in that is the most insulting and boring thing in the entire franchise.

We could have three more chapters in addition to that, and you'd still get a bad taste in your mouth because of the dumb wolbachia shit. Not to mention everything else.

i never realy played mgs for the story so who cares

only reddit faggots play MGS for the story

thats why MGS2 is their favorite

>>it was unfinished
Oh yes, because the only thing wrong with V is the fact that we didn't get a new island mission to fight Liquid and sahelanthropus for the third time and the game with some melancholic music while flying off into the sunset.

The gameplay while good as a basis is hardly ever used for anything other than "Save hostages from bases number 126" or "Kill bad guys mission 79" for both the main and optional missions. Like having a game with the best fps mechanics ever made but have every map be a grey corridor with blocks.

And don't even get me started on the story and characters, they feel like a parody. Easily the worst mainline MGS story and that is even counting how battshit the majority of MGS4's story was.

>Why
Every level is the same level
>Evidence
Did you play the game?
>Footage
Pic related is every MGSV level with the exception of the last two and MAYBE the base where you find Volgin corpse and the last bid of Code Talker's
>INB4 airport
Same level with different textures

>i never realy played mgs
I know. MGS2 had bosses, btw. That automatically puts it above V.

>no more 2deep4u story
>no more big boss dick sucking
>no more did you rike it

how is this a bad thing

They need to expand on the groundwork MGSV started.

MGSV was the beginning of a good idea, but it needed more time in the oven. Honestly with Kojima gone I would focus less on the story and canon and more on gameplay and crazy MGS shenanigans.

Expand on the motherbase elements, give us more areas to explore, have a new protagonist, a new Metal Gear should be part of the canon but feel like a clean slate. New characters and new stories to tell, with some cameos sprinkled in at most. They need to embrace the fact that Kojima is gone, not try to pretend like he never left.

Only way I'll ever come remotely close to liking Konami is if they just make Fox Engine remakes of all MG games, including the Famicom games, and call it a day on the franchise.

Won't happen, but I won't take like any Star Wars tier franchise rape.

shit story, shit level design, shit creative decisions in general. one more mission wasn't going to solve anything

for real tho
I'm optimistically curious to see what Konami does with the MGS franchise, right now with this statement brings some light that a remaster of 4 or better yet 1-4 are coming out.
maybe something else new since Kojima managed to fuck up the last 3 games hard. it's kinda sad tho because the fault in this stupid thing WAS Kojima and not Konami
Konami mistakenly gave too much money and control to Kojima and he failed to bring the product in, 8 years of development and nothing happened

Kojima gave them a perpetual money printer on a silver platter and Konami has no idea what to do with it.

But it's fun.

It was clearly Kojima trying to get around Konami forcing him to make a MGS game so he could make something else.

I didn't find it fun

It's not dog shit even in the state it's in now... One of the best shooters ever released

>Every level is the same level
well if you do the same thing like a faggot the game is gonna treat you like a faggot
>Did you play the game?
no
>Pic related is every MGSV level
Like i said, if you play like a faggot. just dont go guns blazing
>Same level with different textures
you can say that about every single game in the series, other than 2

cause it was the same level with the same textures

The numbers denote how hard the mission is. Besides, each op takes place in a different area, with unique enemy placement. What else do you need as an excuse to do one, and, given the huge extent of loadout customizability why does it matter?

They literally can't "earn me back" when MGS was their only decent franchise and they're only making pachinko trash now. They have absolutely nothing.

Did you just tranq everyone in every base? Because that's not fun. Full stealth mission runs are a blast.

I'll admit that some missions fucking suck, like everything involving the Skulls.

playing the same level for an entire game is not fun. every base is the same, every mission is the same. once you run get tired of experimenting with gadgets you've exhausted the content. it's probably the worst thing about v

>>i never realy played mgs
Indded
only finished MGS 8 times,
Compared to the 38 times i finished mgs3 and FUCK MGS2, cause i unlocked every single iten for every single dificulty on that shity game

legacy collection on new consoles and pc, then they have my permission to die

well that is your problem not the game's

I think the Skulls are a nice change of pace from the usual gameplay.

An excuse to go full ham with Rocket Launchers, machine guns and grenade launchers that you don't really get normally

>the pachinko footage is from the actual remake

This is the only way.

Each base has a different layout and the environment through out both maps has a great deal of variety, actually

Can we talk about sound design in MGS? Every footstep sounds like sex.

I don't care if Kojima doesn't come back.
Kojima is out of his mind, he received too much praise.

Make more metal gear and yu gi oh and i will suck your cock ,Konami.

every Mario level is the same you just jump around wtf Shigeru is a hack

Well I'm coming straight off the mission in Africa where you have to extract the truck and they show up.

The mission was completely broken. The tank in the back kept blowing up the truck unless I sprinted at it and triggered the cutscene. Then from there the AI was broken and wouldn't move. Wasn't fun at all.

And Kojima was working on that game for how long? Fuck him, I bet you Konami was wronged here but no everyone will suck Kojima's dick

before they did the youtube show the english speaking KojiPro staff did a podcast and they had the sound design guy on, he talked about how each character had their own set of shoes for example. real attention to detail type stuff, interesting.

I'd love to see MGS from a different dev. I though 5 was shit and 4 was nonsensical

literally EVERY area in the game is designed the same way, even mother base to an extent
it's a piece of shit game in every sense
>b-but the combat is good!!!
it's literally a copy paste job from Splinter Cell blacklist, but with somehow worse cover mechanics
>the AI is good!
they really aren't, they all have a predetermined path and do the exact same path when something happens to them
>b-but its fun
yea anyone can find any fucking game fun, there are people who think Barbie games are fun as fuck

at the end of the day, MGS V is a piece of shit. and I'm surprised that people are surprised over it being shit when PW and 4 to an extent was also garbage

Make yu gi oh for that microsoft holograns thing

>it's literally a copy paste job from Splinter Cell blacklist

It literally is not lol

making game sure is easy. how many AAA best selling games have you made user?

Really though, those fucking production values for Pachinkoshit?

I know it makes a shitload of money but does blowing all that effort on it really matter? All those high quality assets can't actually be worth it can it?

I really hope you're right and this is something that grew out of an unannounced project.

What did the legacy had compared to the previous HD collection?

>well if you do the same thing like a faggot the game is gonna treat you like a faggot
>Like i said, if you play like a faggot. just dont go guns blazing
First, I try to pure stealth everything, shooting as less as possible
Second, I never had to restrict myself in order to have fun in the previous games: the level design was really well crafted and never felt monotonous, see Ground Zeroes, every mission should have felt like its mission, with the first third maybe shorter in scale
>you can say that about every single game in the series, other than 2
Not really: the enemy placement and metroidvania design had you learning the map discovering where to hide, something which never happens in TPP due to how open ended environments are and how shitty are interiors, you also had easier ways to pass through the rooms as you discovered items which made it easier: in TPP new items are usually just the previous ones with added power or precision
Again, I didn't really until forced, but even if I did, that's the game fault: a good level designer makes sure the game proivides ways to limit the players or punish them by making some strategies not viable in some levels, here there was an half assed attempt with soldiers countering your equipment with theirs, but it usually is useless

After you scrub all the floors in hyrule, THEN WE CAN TALK ABOUT BLOWJOBS!

>literally EVERY area in the game is designed the same way,

wow it's almost like there's a set number of mechanics and they created the environment so you could use them all in a variety of ways

you can say this about any game, this is just low tier shitposting lmao

honestly i think the plan was Kojima and the A team would work on Silent Hills while the B team would take various assets from MGSV and create a HD remake of the other Big Boss games to funnel cash into the studio/Konami

>it's literally a copy paste job from Splinter Cell blacklist,
1/2

Reminder Pachinko is a niche that exists because gambling in japan is not legal, and gambling is about to become legal.

They'll come crawling back

the previous only had mgsv 2,3,peacewalker and mg1/2

the legacy collection had
mgs1, 2,3 ,4, mg 1/2, peacewalker and revengance

>I never had to restrict myself in order to have fun in the previous games

right, because those games imposed those restrictions for you.

It really isn't as straightforward as you think. Every approach in this game is balanced to be viable in some way, the only thing you're doing by playing one way is cucking yourself out of a game you bought

Gee after releasing V without a third of the fucking game I have a hard time thinking I'd ever buy another MGS game, even if kojimbo was involved. Considering he's not, and currently Konami is such utter trash, I have no idea why they think they can bring people back.

2/2

3 has one of the best stories in a video game, and nothing there was 2deep4u at all

Who woulld have thought a game where you need to take cover would have a dive option!

idiot.

Literally one to one

>Reddit
Great, so everyone will just beg them for more Metal Gear instead of pretty much anything else like Bomberman

Here comes the retard with "lol make ur own games before u judge". Konami wouldn't get rid of Kojima just for fun and what kind of publisher wants to fund 10 year dev cycle for a game that barely sells compared to sports, cod/gta. They probably signed contracts with time frames, he keep on delaying and konami just had to force it out. Kojima is to blame how the game turned out

it's so goddamn smooth. anyone who shit talks the core gameplay is just a contrarian faggot trying to look smart.

I can't believe that one of the best shooters ever was released and Sup Forums can't stop shitting its pants because it's not "cinematic enough"

Core gameplay was great. The systems that were in place to "support" it were not and actively hindered it.

>The systems that were in place to "support" it

the what?

That's not a good philosophy really, that would be just like saying big rigs isn't a piece of shit game because you can force yourself to go faster with a timer and the opponent not moving is irrelevant

1/2

>Konami wouldn't get rid of Kojima just for fun
no one said this

>what kind of publisher wants to fund 10 year dev cycle for a game that barely sells compared to sports, cod/gta
the dev cycle was also for a game engine. the development wasn't solely for MGSV. they also used the same engine for those sports games you were talking about.

>They probably signed contracts
>probably
so now you're just pulling things out of your ass, cool

>Kojima is to blame how the game turned out
nope, thanks for playing though! :)

>a good level designer makes sure the game provides ways to limit the players or punish them by making some strategies not viable in some levels

If you use the tranq gun too much, the enemies will start wearing helmets that you can't just shoot off. Some also wear armor that the tranquilizer can't penetrate.

That was enough of a reason not to use it too much. I only used it for getting out of sticky situations.

...

Presumably, he means stuff like the UI - which is dogshit.

Fuck Kojima just remake MGS 1, 2 and 3 in the fox engine.

no because unlike that broken game you get rewarded in V for good performance

What's wrong with the UI?

>play the same level over and over again
>we only mix up the guard locations
>its fine
>AI is predictable and easy
>its fine though because you have so many options!
>have to grind to get anything worth using
>have to wait for it to be built
>after 3 hours of waiting for one item you realize that the only gun worth its salt is the tranq

I'm sorry, but just because you add a bunch of copy paste weapons that are half baked as fuck doesn't mean it makes the rest of the game OK.

The game is fucking awful to play, not because of the gameplay, but everything around it.

The story
The weapons
The AI
The (empty) open world
The no indoor locations for variety
etc

This game is a complete fucking joke.

STEALTH

Are you just posting one game to try and trick me?

Especially when the MGS games all have fucking retarded, terrible stories anyway. 5 is by far the best because it isn't bogged down in awful, nonsensical, 2 hour cutscenes every time you walk ten feet.

You can pretend you have been rewarded in big rigs, it's the same thing really

Konami's strength was its weakness: its games were all insane. Yeah sometimes you got "did you rike it" but those moments dont over shadow things like Silent Hill PT.

PT was fucking art, and it got nixed. Shame on Konami.

Each side op takes place in a different area, and thanks to the strength of the loadout system can play out very differently.

The side-ops give you an excuse to play with the game's various mechanics, which are thought out well enough to stand on their own

no it is not. The system in V is good because it's balanced by its actually implemented restrictions to actually give you motivation to play good. Big Rigs is just broken

>kek nice movie, fags!
>fuck this piece of shit I hate the story!

Pic related. Developers who try to appeal to Sup Forums.

>hey we made 150 million in 1 day last time

Why did it take so long to figure that out?

Kaz=konami
Sleeve=profits

>one game
>enemies cant see you
>you instal kill then with a button

>second one

>enemy can see you from far way
>shoots at you on the way
>you atack doesnt insta kill then

You must be realy blind

There are no restrictions though

IS THE MGS3 REMAKE ACTUALLY HAPPENING

DID THEY RUSE US WITH PACHINKO

WAS IT KONAMI ALL ALLONG AND NOT KOJIMBLES?

Says the guy posting the same game multiple times.

>>one game
>>enemies cant see you
>>you instal kill then with a button
thats literally the same thing in the webms you posted

>Each side op takes place in a different area

Not from what I played. It would reuse main mission locations, and when it didn't, it would reuse mission objectives. The game just recycles into itself to pad it out.

Shit like fulton extraction rendering body hiding and lethal takedowns in general pointless.

Limitless ammo and silencers allowing you to never have to use any of the detailed systems like water conducting electricity or being able to shoot out individual body parts/vehicle sections because you could always use the best tool for the job.

Nonlethal takedowns were way too heavily incentivized compared to all the other alternatives like pure stealth or speed. If you wanted to complete a mission as efficiently as possible your only option was to knock out every dude so you could fulton them.

Mother base just made you too powerful since it allowed you to kit yourself out with everything you could ever dream of. This wouldn't be a problem except if you ignored it the vast majority of the items were impossible to find in the world. I'm not ever sure there were any silencers avaliable at all through any source other than ammo drops, and you could forget about finding nonlethal ammo or weapons in the environment. Most of the tools were also limited to mother base.
