grindy as fuck/ difficult if you dont grind

not intuitive + menu bloat. You pick up weapon , but you have to go back to town so you can actually put the new weapon in one of your three weapon slots. Once its in a weapon slot, you can actually equip and use it.

Loading screens are fairly long, and with the repeated need to head back to town you will see them a lot.


Overall its passable multiplayer, but you need a lot of patient friends

Digimon World 3 PAL version is much better.

Like I said if you have real patient friends you can do it, but there is bound to be better dungeon crawling games.

I had a lot of fun playing this with two buddies back in the day.

It's actually a tough game that will kick your ass especially at the start so you really need to work together.

Fond, fond memories of playing this. Yes the only downside is loading screens.

I remember this game being ridiculously difficult, and not in a fun way.

I think it was balanced for 4 player co-op, I dropped it pretty fast.

it definitely is, starting area monsters can easily kill in a few hits. Any mana based moves can only be used a few times before you are empty.

If you want comfy, Digimon World for PS1 or Redigitize for PSP

If you want a more RPGish thing go for Digimon World 2003 in PS1 as well

Maybe if you are using a usb stick instead of hooking your ps2 to a computer with a lan cable.

loading times are pre coded , if your discs is working as it should loading would always be the same. So in best case scenario opl loading speed can match the speed of good working disk and ps2.

I'm not saying you don't know what you are talking about, but practical side does not lie.

Gran Turismo 4 loads roughly twice as fast when using the OPL method compared to the real disc in the tray.

Game emulates pretty well, though the textures fuck up from time to time.

Redigitize isn't as good as Digimon World 1, not even nostalgiafagging.
The world design is weak, the city is weak, the feeling of loneliness in a foreign world is weak, techniques operate on a shitty tier system where the most costly move is always the best

The only things I'll give it is a better breeding and training system and better colloseum. And better fishing.

Redigitize also isn't nearly as buggy as DW1.

Digimon games are never good, mediocre at best is the best way to describe the games.
Also have fun trying to unlock the other playable characters

God, leveling physical based stuff was way easier than abilities.

Also, does Wargreymon have his spirit bomb in this game? I don't remember.
