>Using outdated 1080p resolution

Only cucks would buy it.

I would if the games seemed good and it's not too expensive.

>download HD textures onto HDD
no fuck off with this shit

>Cloud saves

I hate it

I like non-Nintendo games and good online, so no.

>540p
>in 2017

Literal cancer

This is pretty much all it takes for me buy a system.

>540p
there's literally no reason for panels in this resolution to exist

I'm just going to be happy if the handheld is as good as the Vita. The 3DS screen looked like shit in 2011, it looks even worse now. And the sticks are complete shit. I'm amazed they were dumb enough to consider them for the Wii U at one point.

>downloads HD textures onto HDD
>graphics level: high
No

That sort of resolution and monitor disparity would be an enormous pain in the ass for UI and gameplay design.

Isn't 540p usually referring to 720x540?
Why 4:3?
Better yet, why not 1280x720?

I'm pretty sure instead of an actual handheld unit, they'd make use of actual smartphones with some kind of clip-on controller device. There's definitely a market for it to be done well, as so far attempts at it have been lousy.

It also fits in with everything Nintendo has done lately, as well as all the NX rumours and facts so far. Think about it.

Nah.

Why don't they just release a normal console? You know, like the gamecube. The gamecube was fine.

That looks like a way to gimp games even more than the WiiU does today.

>cartridges
>more gimmicks
Nintendo why

It also only sold a fraction what the PS2 did.

Battery life

Is 4k even worth the dramatic increase of hardware to support it?

WHAT ARE THE GAMES?

Yeah sure, it wasn't a success in the market. It had a decent catalog though and better graphos. It was just a console.

because it sold poorly which showed that no one wanted it.

Nintendo is poor.

Do you think he cares? PC mastoor rayce has to buy into the latest tech no matter how inflated the price

PS2 was great though. It dominated all of the rest easily and really the only thing holding up xbox was how quickly halo caught on.

Nothing would make me buy it. The Wii U is the worst console pretty much ever and the 3DS was a lackluster piece of shit I regret buying to this day.

>Graphic level: high

Yeah on a Nintendo console? Sure brother

dude they're trying to make money

>PC mastoor rayce has to buy into the latest tech no matter how inflated the price

To be fair, given the average viewing distance of a computer monitor 4K might actually matter there. For the average viewing distance of a TV 4K is much less important.

And the Wii U ended up selling a fraction of what the GC did.

Low graphics on Nintendo hardware is a very new thing (since the DS), previously they set the bar for it.

Nah. They wouldn't have released the massive turd the Wii U was if that was the case.

Same here. I just formatted the system memory of wii u and 3DS and they are now in a closet gathering dust.

Nintendo software techs hard at work!

If Nintendo makes another under-powered, gimmicky console I'll flip the fuck out.

One console is what I want. Handheld, connect to TV to play on big screen. No buying the same hardware twice or the same games twice. I just want a proper hybrid.

1080p screen, ARM CPU, around xbone power. May not be possible yet, sadly.

Make the console powerful, even though if I cared about power, I'd better build a PC.

No gimmicks whatsoever, make a plain and simple console, basically I want a PS4 or Xbone copypaste but with the Nintendo logo slapped on it.

The console must be innovative though, no gimmicks but I want something fresh and unique like VR.

Bring back the third parties, even though I won't buy their games in the end because I love complaining about how AAA games are shit and ports are inferior for my tastes. I buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games anyway.

I'm sick of rehashes. Give me new IPs, no matter Nintendo makes plenty of them each gen but, if their aren't big budget and successfull, they don't count and I don't like them anyway.

Stop experimenting new shit with Mario and Zelda, give me a good old rehash of my nostalgia defining games like Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time. Bring back all the niche series nobody but me care about, Nintendo MUST cater only to my special and refined tastes.

The console must also have at least ten 10/10 games at launch, certified by Metacritic, I don't want to buy a console with nogaems at day one.

And then, finally, I'll buy your console. Not at launch. On a sale. With a game or two included. Only if it is successful and it wins Media Creates threads, I hate buying unsuccessful consoles.

>hi, my first console was a 7th gen one

>Sure brother

Are you macho man?

>720x540
i've literally never heard of a LCD panel with 540 pixels vertical. When you rip a DVD with output set to 4:3 ratio for some dumb reason you get a 720x540 video file but i can't think of a single other circumstance in which I've encountered that resolution and i'm almost certain nobody manufactures displays for it.

>1080p screen, ARM CPU, around xbone power.
If you like 30 minute battery life, sure.

this. An ideal price would be $199 for the handheld and $349 for the console.

The DS was not low graphics. Handhelds are supposed to be around 2 generations behind, 5th gen graphics during 7th gen was on par. It's just that Sony cheated by making their handheld too powerful, giving a false impression of an underpowered DS, when it actually had the right power.

Would be a bit too inconsistent though, too much disparity between different devices.

Nintendo are like the Apple of videogames, for the good and the bad. They'll want to control the experience they provide so you get the level of polish they expect. I don't think they'd want someone to have a bad experience with one of their games because the player's phone was too shitty to handle it.

I think this is why they have only now got into mobile and reluctantly at that. They're control freaks.

Heck yeah. I've wanted this shit ever since I had a Super Gameboy as a kid. If they do this right there's room for a new console that can play real games and Nintendo mobile shit like GO!. Then you could attach them to more substantial games at the motherbase.

Of course, the obvious "taking your full console with you whenever" was something they've been testing the waters with for awhile (Xenoblade N3DS). Think like the full potential of a Vita-->PS4 cross-buy system with added stuff like AR on the portable side of the console. Shit could be revolutionary.

>cartridges

Why are people pushing this shit so much for NX? Cartridges for a home console makes no fucking sense in 2016.

>It's the current year! I mean come on!

>Low graphics on Nintendo hardware is a very new thing (since the DS), previously they set the bar for it.
>>hi, my first console was a 7th gen one

>MIMIMIMI NINTENDO USED TO MAKE INCREDIBLE GRAPHICS IT DOESNT MATTER THAT NOW THEY PRODUCE SHIT HARDWARE THINK AT THE PAST! WEWERE THE BEST!!!

Oh, am i laughing

>The NX is the console people thought the Wii U originally was.

That would be both sad and funny.

>graphics level: high
yeah, for nitnendo games
I can already imagining having trubles runing 3rd party, and I don't even want to know how the handheld thingie is going to run those games
>implying that nintendo will get 3rd party support when they are forcing devs to work with a fucking SD memory

I know right? Discs are the future.

>physical games
>on a fucking cartridge

Not even Nintendo could come up with something that stupid.

They are a necissity for handhelds. If the same copies are to be used for a handheld and a stationary, cartridges are the only option.

These are the things that would make me buy it:
1. backwards compatible with WiiU
2. all games (virtual console, WiiU, as well as NX) available from an online store
3. no gimmicks controller

downloadable GC and Wii titles would be nice too

I just want a fucking thing that will make it easy for me to enjoy Nintendo's entire fucking catalog because I never owned a Nintendo console.

>2011 3DS Launch
>240p
>People still hadn't got Eyecancer from Nintendo

THEY SAID IT WAS GAME-CHANGING TOP SECRET

You underestimate them.

>giving a false impression of an underpowered DS
It was legit underpowered compared to the competition, it wasn't a false impression. And if I'm not wrong the PSP launched for $200, while the DS launched for $150, which isn't really that much of a difference.

It's cheaper to mass produce 20GB discs than it is to mass produce 20GB cartridges.

>What are SD cards?

It's not the 90's anymore dude.

I don't get the advantage.

It's even cheaper to mass produce your mom.

>no load times
>Higher capacity
>More durable since it's harder to scratch them
Why shouldn't we use cartridges?

Hell no.

nintendo always find a way

>MIMIMIMI NINTENDO USED TO MAKE INCREDIBLE GRAPHICS IT DOESNT MATTER THAT NOW THEY PRODUCE SHIT HARDWARE THINK AT THE PAST! WEWERE THE BEST!!!
Yes, that's about right, minus the autistic rage.
Nobody was expecting something like the Wii after the GCN, so why is impossible to think they'll change paradigms again? Oh wait don't answer, I already know what you're about to say.
>muh nitendrones, nintenbabbies, delusion, eat shit etc, nintendooooomed
ok

>Can never have a single thread about a console without PClards fagging everything up.

/vpc/ when?

wrong. not in 2016.

These are the same motherfucking Japs who made their controller a huge-ass tablet, so don't underestimate the depths of their stupidity.

960x540, it used to be quite common for mobile phones a couple of years back.

Yes. The total lack of jaggies makes a world of difference.

>graphic level: medium
>540p

do these fags have no standard or what

>be on train back from work
>play Monhun on NX portable
>get home
>stick cart into NX home console
>keep playing where you left off but in glorious HD

The competition cheated. Nintendo did what they always were doing, and then the competition came and did more than what the rules Nintendo had established allowed.

WiiU architecture is a mess, BC needs to be dropped. It wouldn't help them with additional sales either, BC only helps if people still play the previous generation games. Makes more sense to rerelease the WiiU games on the new console.

costs more per GB than discs

faster load times than discs sure but why not just stuff a Sata III SSD inside your console and have better speed AND capacity?

Depends on what games it has

Either way I'm not getting it at launch I'm giving them a year to give me a reason to buy it.

>Idiot sheep believing on a poorly made paint image

Kill yourself

>inb4 pcucks responds: "it's sonyggers fault!" then sonyggers reply to that and escalates in a bigger flamewar faggotry
who am I kidding, it's going to happen

>540p handheld screen
>2017

So, you're paying for a handheld and a home console system where you can play games across both platforms with cloud whatever. Doesn't that anchor games to the handheld hardware?

>1. backwards compatible with Wii U
>3. no gimmicks controller
You are contraddicting yourself. If you want Wii U BC, you need a gimmick controller.

>then the competition came and did more than what the rules Nintendo had established allowed
Are you saying Nintendo sets rules for the entire industry?

It costs $21 to buy twenty 25GB bluray discs

Do the math

>2016
>still thinks resolution number means graphic quality
>thinks 5" screen has a higher cancer rate than 60"

I want battery life and games, not unnoticeable pixels.

I think most Wii U games support single screen play, with the option to play without the TV?

Last gen, they did.

For a time they actually did.

Well, apparently they did not.

I just another GameCube but considering that Zelda Breath of the Wild has motion controls I can kiss that possibility good bye.

completely uninterested, give me a single dedicated platform.

For a Wii U game to work, you need to turn on the gamepad regardless. And games like W101 need you to use the gamepad.
It would be a very half assed BC, worse than the Bone BC.

reveal fucking when?

Didnt Nintendo have an event where they revealed details about the nx? what did they say?

You want a low selling console that put Nintendo on last place on gen 6? There's the Wii U already for that.

Sounds like Nintendo then

Why?

No they didn't.
