Not really no, there's like 3 sets of armor per class and a gorillion helmets.

Drakon is the only one worth using until you get Directive armor and can wave your epeen in the air

Fuck yeah. I loved Cerberus solely for their armor and design. So fucking cool.

This I also go for a mix of yellow/golden colors, but it's just because I like yellow. Still looks great though.

Yes. EA/Bioware don't do any sort of anticheat anymore. Players don't really care if you cheat for equipment and characters since it's such an RNG grind. Just don't give yourself god powers in-game.
