Why is gore the best monster?
Put some specific MH question in the OP next time or it seems like a general
Anyway, what are some of the better endgame bows to work towards?
I'm "for now" done working on my GS and would like to work on some good bow on the side
Any tree worth going down?
>grinding bulldrome for jumbobones
>need 5
>get 2
>get 1
>get 1
>get 0
>get 0
>get 0
REEEEEEEEEE
That's not zinogre
Second favourite
...
>fighting ceph throughout last thread
>bitch stays underground for 3/4s of the fight and jumps over my trap
>shamefully cart
>it dies in one hit when I come back
I am a little upset
*gigginox
who else thinks that before going on a hunt you should have the option to pick one specific item you could get from that monster in exchange for any other reward you might have gotten, money included
When can I fight the angry pickle?
Only HR3 right now.
>*unsheathes tail*
Monster hunter was cool now it has people with greatswords flying 20 ft in the air and lock on
>tfw no mhgenerations on vita
Does everyone online play aerial?
I swear I'm the only one who likes guild.
Having a full set of armor means you are a true master at killing X or Y monster.
That or you got lucky/carried
Anyway, stupid idea..
>and lock on
controlling the camera should never be the hardest thing in a game
no, aerial GS is garbage
guild is the best style for GS
yeah I liked it more when it was more realistic like when we jumped out of the top of a mountain and landed without even taking damage.
well to get a full set of armor, you probably exactly wouldnt do that because you need many different items and a lot of them. if you'Re at the point wheere youre missing one and only one spcific item for a full armor, I think it's fine to consider yourself a true master of killing that monster.
I just dont want t miss one Item and do the same monster 15 times for it. theoretically I could do it 1000 times and never get that Item and thats just bullshit
I'd buy it. Despite not being that good at fighting it I really like dinoglavaldonus
WHY IS QUROPECO NOT IN GENERATIONS
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
It wasnt about realism it was about having a style. and Monster hunter had a very unique style. Now its changing things to try and be something it shouldnt be.
Is there any monster missing in Generations?
cmon suck it up, I had to kill like almost 60 lagiacrus in 3U underwater to get a fucking plate or whatever it was
Peco
Barrioth
Barroth
Gigginox
G. _aggi
Lagiacrus
They're trying something new instead of just new skills or new weapons.
I actually wouldn't mind if they never tried to improve the core gameplay and just kept adding weapons and monsters but I'm fine with them trying something new.
MH's still on a league of his own. I try to play MH clones and get bored fast while I can still throw hundreds of hours into generations.
Gobul
>we'll never get a monhun with these graphics
So pretty much only 3rd Gen.
china has it
Is aerial style bad online? Do my vaults fuck with people?
if you jump on them it can cause a small stagger
Adepts=tryhards
Guild=hipsters pretending they're veterans
Striker=casuals relying too much on arts
Aerial=Je suis monte of Generations.
Soul Sacrifice Delta is better than MH.
and which are you?
Of those I only miss Gigginox
He had a cool vampire armor set.
Tryhard. I keep trying to do insta-dodges but I have too many years of dodging safely I don't know If I can truly play it risky all of a sudden.
...
this
I've been sticking with guild mainly, trying aerial on some others
>TFW you want to play MHO but apparently even if you DO get it to work from the US, the lag makes the game basically unplayable even if you're solo hunting
Is there a gook to american translation mod available?
So you guys are being judgemental even about that now?
No, dont worry about that.
The only people who usually ruins everyone fun are Hammer/LongSword retards who doesnt know how to play and end up stunning everyone else.
Looks gud. Don't really like the style though. Most visually impressive games that have come out recent have a strange clay look to them.
>That Weapon and Style combo you only used on accident because you forgot to switch but ended up having a ton of fun with
What her name Sup Forums?
Aerial CB for me
Why does fucking everything seem to have super armor now?
I drank a fucking potion at a bad time and stonefist hermitaur's shell attack doesnt knock me down, it just kills me with the second hit
No
I'm done a couple of quests into Village 3 and I'm wondering what hirn would be better. They both have the same songs
>Petrified horn at 110 attack
>Hidden Harmonica at 90 atk, 40 affinity, a shit ton more green sharpness
>That fur
I NEED THIS
>40 affinity
that one
Which element covers the most monster weaknesses?
I played it,
You have to jump through some hoops but if you google around there is a reddit guide that got me playing.
The game is pretty cool but I think the best ping I got was ~350 which made hunting really hard because it was just me and a friend
The game was good looking but kind of grind-heavy, which is too be expected in a chinese MMO
>An Aptonoth
That tickled me a little
you should have one of each near the end. I feel like thunder covers the most, I might be wrong though
Oh i forgot the bagpipe
>120 attack, 12 def, shitty green sharpness, obnoxious sound for online
lagiacrus is in gen
missing basarios & gravios, though
It's probably a joke after a certain point
>be at 5* village
>look up keyquests
>you have to do a quest to unlock a quest to unlock a quest that unlocks the keyquest
blast
I've just been posting barroth because we all miss his goofy antics.
just got done fighting one of those bastards in FU
1 out of 2 of the pale extracts i need but fucking 4 electro sacks
Which is the most casual Monster Hunter game? Generations?
>Get Viper Bite +4 sns with 28 para
>Equip Dreadqueen set for +20% affinity on all weapons due to +15 Expert, Crit Status, and the Dreadqueen skill which acts as a combination of Status Atk +2 and Wide-Range +2
>Stick 2 +1 Expert gems in my weapon and a +3 Expert gem in my talisman to get +30% affinity for all weapons
>Paralyze most monsters at least 4 times per fight, with even the most resistant monsters getting paralyzed at least 2 times per fight
>Get to look like a slick ass knight all the while
This is so fucking ridiculous, I love it.
I love it.
Have you got Arzuros' super? I'm curious what it looks like
p3rd or 3U
Except 3U's endgame, p3rd is a joke altogether though.
I heard one of the versions of 3 was super baby mode.
Are there pictures like this for all of the Deviant sets?
It doesn't mean shit. If everything killed you in one hit then maybe but anyone can bring tons of healing items, traps, bombs, whatever. They have 50 minutes to kill it. Even the worst shitter can outlast any normal monster with enough heals, mats, and doing it when there's an opening.
Does that armour have a cape?
How many armor sets have capes? I don't care if they clip through everything, capes are way too cool.
I don't think they've shown it yet.
Not really. Having a full armor set shows you have a lot of patience for grinding.
any tips on cutting dinovaldos tail? im having trouble getting it. I'm using the the Mizutsune ls but have been using gs for most of the game.
More like little cloth tassets that hang down over your ass.
Considering Generations has the best gameplay and now even a style that lets you dodge attacks if your time is right then yes.
But honestly MH is easy as fuck once you grind enough.
Apparently Teostra's bow is THAT bow in this iteration.
You know, THAT bow. The one.
We shouldn't use casual, but rather "polished". Lame hitboxes does not make the game hardcore either.
Fuck I was stuck on Barroth for months. I would probably still be inconsistent at it if it was in Generations.
Tri had a way steeper curve than Generations monster-wise. With Generations you're already four monsters in before you fight the Qurupeco equivalent, and it's easier because yellow doesn't bounce on the wings.
>Generations has the best gameplay
Oh wow, I didn't know there was such a thing as Generationsbabbies, but I guess I should've expected it.
Butt capes are the greatest
hit it more
I just uninstalled that a few days ago.
Looks really good but holy fuck the lag and lack of players was not worth it.
Also everytime theres a update the english translation stops working, and they have been updating the game like 3 times every week.
Why is Adept Hammer so fun?
>Plays MonHunGen
>plays my trust longsword with adept style because it felt the best
>friend says i should probably switch to something else on the urgent quest
>Ok
>Switches to Prowler
>he fucking hates me
>but i brought 20 potions for them and im literally constantly healing and buffing them
>won that game
I really like the prowler mode.
especially with the different combinations of support moves etc.
Palico's are not halfassed useless anymore.
Adept in general is exciting because you're purposefuly playin risky
I cut off the tail easily by switching to aerial.
Shitty hitbox and stiff gameplay is exactly what made MH hard though. Once they fixed that the games are piss easy now.
>Generationsbabbies
Okay, I will bite.
Which one has the best gameplay then?
>risky
You mean normally? Shit, it basically gives you E+3, and I can hit invincibility frames without any evasion. I really hope styles don't come back.
>Which one has the best gameplay then?
Not any of the guys that you're talking to, but constant revisions of weapons makes the game better and better.
The later the content was created the better it is, that's why I wouldn't rate one game over any other. P3rd was too easy, but it did introduce Zinogre, bear skeleton monsters and revise many older weapons.
been playing Striker, its nice having 3 arts
>Once they fixed that the games are piss easy now.
I'm glafd they did though, I think a bigger problem is the little damage you take.
I have a completely unupgraded randomly put togetehr armor, and still take quite a bunch of hits to die. I remember that I used to die to one single diablos hit when he was enraged and I had a decent armor back in mhf1
>tfw faggy casual that relies too much on arts
>Once they fixed that the games are piss easy now
140GQs and deviant monsters are pretty far from piss easy, user.
Somebody is going to respond to this talking shit about apex. I actually liked apex, the apex monsters all seemed really scary, and the first time I saw a paintball bounce I nearly shat myself.
>The later the content was created the better it is
But thats exactly why I said Generations, the last released MH, has the best gameplay in the series.
The guy replying to me implied that Generation doesnt have the best gameplay, so I asked which one is the best then.
But anyone who has been following the MH series so far knows that the gameplay is improved with every game, and that makes the game easier even for new people to play.
I'm also am glad. I remember after I got Portable 3rd I couldnt go back to Unite because the gameplay was improved drastically.
...
>P3rd was too easy
Eh, from LR to HR 3u, 4, 4u, even easier when you factor their gimmicks (Slime, IGs) are really just as easy.
X is about the only one that got things harder, but through post HR content.
Should've rubbed that paintball with wystones first hunter
not that guy, but apex sucked. frenzy was alright, though
also, its just painful seeing crowns running around without having at least one wystone
are just as easy, even easier when you factor their gimmicks *
