Mafia. From my experience almost everyone who likes Max Payne likes Mafia and vice versa.
It's not "kinda", it's almost copypasted at times. Still a good and fun game, though.

I didn't like The Punisher back when it was released because I really wanted a copypasted MP. After interactivity and dynamics of more physics based combat of MP, The Punisher felt clunky
