Well before that I watched NHK and Berserk both of which I thought were great. I've never heard of Texhnolyze I'll add it to MAL, I've seen the movie and show of GitS.

Everyone I have ever known in my life who liked anime always told me Hellsing was amazing, but I thought every episode was slow as shit and every other scene was that girl saying "Master........." dramatically.

I used to love Hellsing as a teenager. I started watching it again some weeks ago and couldn't stand it. It wasn't even the edgyness, it's just fucking boring. I have no idea why I used to like it so much.
