No Man's Sky

Is this comfy?

>Being able to walk on planets and take off to almost anywhere
>Most common enemies won't antagonize you if you don't act like a space jew and animals fuck off if you shoot near them
>Can be a trader, a fighter or an explorer and switch anytime by buying a new ship
>Never any idea about what the next star system will be like or what you'll do next, just ridan the space flow

Sure if "Ain't got shit to do" means "comfy"

Why do you need to change ships to explore instead of trade or fight?

...

Differents ships have differents stats

NOTHING
TO
DO

I'm not sure if I'll like some shady space government telling me when I'm no longer allowed to gather resources

I guess I could just RP as a space libertarian

But why couldn't a trade ship explore? Is this some space jew shit trying to make me buy a new car?

>all planets only have one climate/biome each
>planets are miles away (note some trailers show short travel to moons, not planets which are much further away)
>can rename any creature/planet, but doing so is completely redudant given the fact there's no reason to stay on a planet and chances of another player seeing said planet is almost 0
>the online "multiplayer" is extremely misleading - players cannot bump into each other in the world; rather, actions they do (like renaming things) will take effect in an asynchronous manner
>the "quests" shown off were literally to gather matetials or defend/attack a faction
>NPCs have no AI whatsoever, only a select few scripted events to trigger the above
>less than 10 actual climates seem to exist in the game, with recolours being their compromise for looking like more
>due to the insanely high number of apparent planets in this game, statistically the chances of you seeing many unique ones is miniscule - rather, you're more likely to see a planet with tall mountains in red, then one with slightly shorter mountains in blue, then in green with a lake. The more permutations in a procedural structure, the less different they are to one-another
>"combat" appears to only be basic gunplay (one of the easiest things to implement to make what would otherwise just be a simulator into a game, since implementing guns just requires basic raycasting)
>optional weapon upgrades that are """crafted""" by dumping random collectibles on it
>trees, creatures, and NPCs shown off so far already have duplicates in promotional material, which is quite an antithesis to all the "there's so many permutations!" point they hammer-in

Just in case some anons aren't already aware.

The fact it basically pulls a Journey on you and throws you back to the edges of space when you reach the center of the universe after an event is pretty lackluster

Just play Space Engine it's fucking free and the developer is releasing a huge update soon.

The Instagram filters along with literally less to do than minecraft really make me not look forward to it.

>eveeything is procedurally generated
D-D-D-D-D-DROPPED

Trading ships are bigger and need more fuel, basically.

Source?

I'm glad Sup Forumss collective consciousness finally came to this realization. it took a lot of shitposting in threads praising this game

Is this the new FLOAT?

Since when is systematic pasta not against the rules?

Actually it's just one autist.
That autist is me. Hi.
would it shock you if I admit I'm looking forward to the game, I'm just sick of the misinformation?

Sure, why not.
Don't know if FLAOT user is still around.

>chances of another player seeing said planet is almost 0
Isn't the game single player only? I thought there's no co-op or online.

because it should be required reading for any idiot considering paying money for this "game"

> €59.99 for Starbound 3D

>would it shock you if I admit I'm looking forward to the game, I'm just sick of the misinformation?
>implying people are believing that when you're lying about the game and never post any source to back up your claims

What's wrong with the game? Can you explain it to me in a way that wouldn't make you look like an autist outside of Sup Forums?

It's information about.the same, it's entirely relevant to the thread and intended to help.with discussion about.the game, although it may benefit from sounding less like a shitpost.

There is online but it's asynchronous. Think like XCX's online squads. All players use the same seed but they can't bump into actual players.

I'm too lazy for sources, google some yourselves if you're that interested to.find out or disprove me or whatever. I am intrigued by the prospect of an exporable universe, just extremely skeptical at the same time given the lack if coverage on the game's apparent features.

>This autism again

Yes, and?

What's the point of proving you wrong and posting source if you're never going to change?

Hey, this sounds like a cool game called spore amirite

But none of the sources do prove me wrong, that's the problem.

Have fun posting the same lies through all summer

Only takes a sec user

One question, what is the engine they were using to make NMS? I can't find the reference.
