It's okay. Lots if clunky features and tedious moments tho.
Why don't you find out for yourself?
It's good.
It's good, although it's still the second worst 3D Mario game (with 3D Land being the worst).
A bit worse than 64 but lots better than Galaxy
>Those shitty FLUDD controls
>Awful Voice acting
>Messy level design
>Lazy final boss fight
God no
if you look at the definitive mario game for each nintendo console, its easily the worst one.
Agreed, I don't really get why people like Galaxy so much. It was pretty mediocre, granted I did play it immediately after a run through of 64 so maybe it just seems worse by contrast.
Since GG EmptyHero has gone to shit. What the fuck is this kind of autism?
It's my favorite game. FLUDD actually worked pretty well, as I could combine many moves between Mario and FLUDD, the soundtrack is relaxing, and it has nice hub-world and levels. I loved the tropical theme.
Much worse than 64, but still a good game
>Those shitty FLUDD controls
>Messy level design
git gud
No
Peach's voice in 64 was even more awful
the levels were alot better than the floating-in-the-void levels of 64, they had a clear and logical place in the island
the bossfight in 64 was literally just the 2 previous bossfights x3, it doesn't get any more lazy than that
Sunshine was much better in almost every regard than 64, but that isn't surprising as 64 was their first attempt at a real 3D game, so they had time and experience to perfect it for Sunshine.
The only valid complaint about Sunshine is that FLUDD makes everything too easy, but that's the same as complaining about fast travel being an optional feature in Skyrim.
Sunshine is a piece of shit; only hipsters love it.
Worst Mario but still an OK game.
The controls felt quite tacky and 'light' compared to the solid and heavy movement of M64.
I don't know how to explain it well. Sunshine feels like plasic while M64 feels like metal in terms of controls.
way better than the galaxy games, not as much charm as 64 though
I really did not like it and the main reason being the FLUDD. It was just not fun spraying and cleaning shit. I also did not like Galaxy because it made feel sick with all the upside down camera.
I liked it but some of the stages just got tedious after a while. Would of been better if you could freely switch between all the nozzles without having to trade a nozzle out.
>no one can like different things than I do unless they're a hipster
Grow up, it's not a bad game.
>messy level design
That was the point of the game user.
Yes.
The only problem I have with it is the low variety in enviroments.
Every mario game is at least good you fucking faggots
This game is awesome, Sup Forums is just too shit to understand
It's a mainline Mario title so of course it's a good game. However, it's also the worst 3D Mario game that is outclassed by all of the other 3D titles, even 3D World.
It had half the levels of its predecessor, the Fludd gimmick managed to slow the game down quite a bit, the beach resort level theme gets real old after a while, and the game is extremely tedious to 100% whereas I've gone out of my way to 100% every other 3D Mario.
Anyone who pulls some mental gymnastics about Blue Coins deserves to be spanked with a chain.
fuck everything about blue coins
they turned a mario game into a shitty ty th e tazmanian tyger tier shitfest
It's gimmicky and unfun. The most fun parts were the secret levels where you don't have the jetpack.
I dunno man. I played it for the first time live on stream last year. It really tripped me out. The fucking pachinko level, get out of here with that shit. Also the haunted mansion or whatever the fuck. Just no.
I rate the game a solid 7.
>yes, no, maybe threads are dead
Why live?
Yes, its good, even if its the worst 3D mario
Sunshine is definitely a good game but suffers from decisions that clash with the foundation Mario 64 build before it, while still trying to go with the same formular. See and many other posts from that thread which gave some perfectly reasonable examples for what Mario 64 did right and they don't seem to be done right in Sunshine.
The awfully drawn out intro and constant interruptions in the game don't help either
Underrated post
It's bretty good.
>We will never get another tropical 3D Mario game because of their need to go bigger and better than the last game.
