Still a better place than Sup Forums as long as you stay out of the console specific boards. At least people there occasionally discuss video games without endless shitposting and the average age seems much higher than the average 15-20 range that you see on Sup Forums.

What boards do you tend to go into? Most niche Japanese games and boards for games older than a few years are pretty decent. The majority of the shitposting is in the main console boards and some of the super hyped AAA flavor of the month trash. Though I guess now that I think about it, some of this also applies to Sup Forums.

Going to GameFAQs when you want to know something about an old game is the worst. Having to sort through pages and pages of 8 year old posts from literal retards to get any kind of actual information from someone named Separoth88 is such a nightmare.

The smaller boards doesn't always make it a good thing. There's people that create dozens of accounts to agree with themselves and circle jerk the entire forum.
